Kerr is losing his handle over there. Not only is this an objectively poor coaching choice he’s willingly made public, he’s also – yet again – thrown his players under the bus by singling out the guys who he matched up against JB. He really just feels like an ego manager at this stage.

His strategy was based on r/nba reports, a world where the Celtics are incredibly stacked to prevent Tatum any opportunity to win an MVP, but in which every other player like Brown is simultaneously too bad to deserve recognition.
