I've noticed something. The team that is closest to their season pts per game average without going over usually wins. Its almost like thats the way of picking the winner without having a formal written instruction. Houston is 112.7 pts/game for the season. Their implied total for yesterday was 112.25 pts. The Suns is 117.4 pts/game for the season. Their implied total for yesterday was 121.25. Since their implied total was higher than their season it is unlikely for them to win. I've noticed this especially for games with a spread of 7 or more.
