need to do splits with thj on floor versus not, curious what that looks like
Saw someone state that with THJ on the court, it’s a 128.8 (139 min) and without him, it’s a 122.7 (149 min).
So even though he needs to be benched, we are still close to last defensively when he’s off the court anyways.
I think the perimeter defense has been lazy in terms of guarding three point shooters and allowing blow-by’s without much resistance, which is leading to breakdowns defensively.
Good grief. If we can’t defend as well as the Washington Wizards, then we don’t deserve a playoff spot
It was a tough stretch of the schedule but the reality is that we aren’t good against the top 4 teams in either conference. Kidd has shown playoff coaches how to beat us. Carlisle & Nick Nurse put on a clinic against us
Not that mad about the defense in the Pacers, Cavs & Celtics games, the Pacers are an offensive jauggernaut & the Celtics (made 50 3s on 55% last 2 games) & Cavs couldn’t miss
But letting Tobias Harris & Kelly Oubre get whatever tf they wanted is a huge red flag
For a team with a defense minded coach they sure do suck at defense. It’s like he spends all his time with his hands in his pockets or something.

Klieber/no Kleiber splits could be interesting to look at as well. Just to see if it moves the needle defensively.
Luka is the star and leader of the team. If he won’t put in effort on defence and is a cone on the perimeter, why should other players hustle?
They aren’t a serious team because they refuse to play defence.
