    Imagine trying to explain this clip to a non-sports-fan.

    “There’s this ….uhhh…. seemingly irrelevant jump that one player does in order to try to obscure the rim from the shooter’s vision. Yes, it’s basically just this one guy that does it. No, he’s not a famous player, he’s like the 220th best player in the league. Does the play work? Like…maybe a third of the time, but there is no way to tell if it’s completely based on luck or coincidence, or whether the jumping move actually has anything to do with what happens on the play.

    Anyway, his teammate who never does this jump decided to do the jump this one t…. Um, yes, basketball players jump all the time on defense, they’re trying to block the offensive player’s shot. But that usually means they’re, like, 2 to 5 feet away from the shooter, while this jump is from like …18 feet away. Anyway, the original jumper recognizes that the jump is happening…”
