Great start in the fourth the last time you played Charlotte another hot start in the fourth this time around 14 points for you just describe the zone you were in in this game to help your team get the win you know all credit to my teammates but you know I can make plays

Happen when I trust the Rock and so like once again all credit to the team that’s a heck of a defensive game we held them to what 89 points that’s that’s like and that’s a good offensive team they got some dudes that can score so all credit

To the team man let’s talk about your teammate fron he didn’t have any any points until the third he got that slam it seemed like the bench was just going crazy for that one just talk a little bit about the energy that gave to you

Guys and how he was patient in order to get these give me the rock just get him the rock yeah yeah but um yo fron is a Hooper like he can turn that joint on in a second same way I mean that kind of

You know I got h on that fourth fron he get you see one go through the hole that joint change the game you know what I’m saying so B sh out the FR that dunk was man went to do something like that and then jayen came and follow that joint up

Good thing happen when you put some pressure on that Rim man you know what I’m saying the bench you guys continue to keep this team in the game you guys just help them get this win tonight what does it say about you guys coming off this bench and really adding to this

Team yeah I mean we laid the egg last game and Coach had to take us out early so it was only right that we came this game and you know came prepared to play so you know what I’m saying big shout out to Joe angles big shout out to Mo AB

Was hooping today did his thing and just like we resilient group man we going to bounce back we just keep hooping you know what I’m saying and you guys hold this team under 100 points what is the key to that in your defense the defense

As you just said like we sat down we guarded and we made plays happen on our offensive end so you see what happen you see what it is you like about your group’s ability to this point I think there was a level of poise

To the guys um it was a a rocky game back and forth guys couldn’t really get a flow both offensively and defensively it was physical uh which is you know we we prefer that uh but again our guy’s ability to stay poised stay in the moment uh and just finding ways to win

On the road you know you spoke about that physicality you know one of those areas was on the class tonight we spoke a little pregame about about that you know how much do you like your group’s ability to rebound and and close out possessions that way I mean that’s who

We have to be in so many ways I think we’ve got to make sure that we’re defending the right way and we talk about it all the time defend without fouling keep them off the glass then it allows us to get out and run and and get

Those easy baskets uh but I like the way in which we were trying to share the basketball move it uh guys got hot that second unit came in and did a great job but us our willingness to continue to play the right way is is what you know

I’m most proud of with these guys coach what did you see from uh Anthony coming off the bench today I thought he was fantastic I really do I I think he played with a level of intensity uh a high level of energy uh his Focus level

There was was great um just being able to focus on what the right playing the right way the entire game what has been the difference for you guys uh winning nine out of the last 11 what are you what are you seeing under your team holding ourselves to a higher

Standard and I think these guys have all communicated what that standard is on both sides of the basketball you know offensively we want to make sure we’re moving it and sharing it playing the right way you know we still have a continued level of work to do on taking

Care of the basketball with our turnovers uh we want to be a team that can you know punish the mismatch and you you know find ways to get to the pain and get to the free throw line defensively we want to make sure we’re communicating the right way um we’re

Physical without fouling and then that last piece that Dan mentioned before is we’ve got to make sure we are hitting and checking and going to get defensive rebounds bigger picture your group is 10 games over 500 first time for this franchise since April 2012 that it’s

Been 10 games over 500 what does that say about the growth of this group over the last couple of years that they’re able to be in this type of position I we’ll keep repeating it you know it’s it’s the work that this group has continued to put in um our coaches do a

Phenomenal job of talking about the game plan you have to continue to talk about you know what the way Jeff welman and his group have wanted to keep a group together so they can grow and understand the chemistry and how important that is uh but our guys are just finding ways to

Get wins and they want to continue to do more but mostly it’s done on the defensive end and they’re seeing that you get too much time to enjoy this one and play in less than 24 hours you know just what do you want to see out of your

Group as you prepare for Washington tomorrow just make sure we recover well uh get the rest that’s needed uh get in there take that long bus ride and get some rest and then be ready to go tomorrow Jonathan physical one out the up and down runs tonight you know what

Did you like about your group’s ability to Come Away with the win I think just staying poised the game definitely got chippy really Chippy at times um and that’s what we like and so I don’t I don’t think that they were prepared for where we can take it and so uh you know

Our aggressiveness our toughness definitely I think want us that game down the stretch and open up the game you know along those lines you guys did a great job on the glass tonight you know how big is it to get those rebounds and close out possessions that way it’s

Huge it’s huge espe especially um you know coach has been talking a lot about how like post you know around this time and obviously postseason like basketball and how important one really working on our turnovers is but being a a to limit limit teams in one possession um it’s

Huge you know you’ve been with this group for a while this team’s 10 games over 500 for the first time since April 2012 just how much does it speak to the growth of this organization this team that you’re able to accomplish that and be in that kind of place right now man

It’s huge man I I saw the vision I me I I remember uh uh I remember sitting in Jeff’s office years ago I don’t I don’t even remember what season it was but just saying you know we we’re going to get it right and we’re going to get it together and

Um you know the kudos to the organization for continuing to stick with guys and also be willing to switch some things up and and we’re at this point because of it and so uh you know just really to continue to take it you know from one level to the next speaking

Along those lines just how much fun is it to to be in a team with this kind of situation right now playing the type of basketball you are and having success you are as a group so much fun so much fun feel so excited looking forward to

Each game um and that’s something that’s just continuing to grow we got a great group of guys that just want to win want to compete uh want to play well and so uh the big thing is is how do we take what we are right now and continue to

Get better 1% better every day that’s what we’re focused on right now um and as we get into you know the end of this season you know are we in the best shape as a team not just winning games right now but are we at our our our peak in

Terms of what we can be how often is like like obviously there’s a lot of young talent in the locker room like Paulo France and those guys how often are they like in your era trying to get some advice from you just on how to Pilot throughout the regular season or

Win chippy games like this uh not so much you know our our our guys I I think kudos to our coaching staff um you know that our job is you know me Joe guys like that are just continueing to speak um you know allowing it to follow those

Guys especially in timeouts and hles and all that stuff but um you know they they’re young with their their season um they’re ready to play they’re ready to come out and compete and um yeah for sure you don’t get much time to enjoy this one you guys will be back in action

In less than 24 hours you know what do you want to see out of your group heading into Washington tomorrow uh just the I I think continuing to ride on our our ability to to play kind of that Smashmouth basketball yeah yeah we can be pretty um you know especially when
