This is why the idea of resting Brunson 4-5 games like people have been suggesting is a horrible idea. If he can play Friday, he needs to play. The next 3 games are super critical. They’re all at home and right before what is going to be a tough West Coast trip.

We are missing 4 starters and are still 5 games out of 2nd place. We went 12-2 after the trade without Mitch…. everyone will be healthy soon and we will make a push for 3rd, maybe 2nd. There’s only .5 a game between the 2.

Knicks have the 3rd worst record in the east in the last 10 games. 3-7. Only worst are the bottom dwelling wiz and pistons (we could be 2-8 if we lost that pistons game). Meanwhile every other east team seeded 1-10 is . 500 or better in their past 10.
We are 2-7 in our last 9 home games with the 2 wins being over the pistons (could/should have lost) and a grizzlies team missing more players than us.
We’ve been awful since the 3rd quarter of the Lakers game.

what does this change? like oh no well play the cavs like we already probably will have to anyways. or oh no we have to play the bucks! or the heat! or the pacers! all of these teams are tough except like philly. if we’re healthy come playoffs then i like our chances of making a run but otherwise who gaf ab seeding

We’re 5th but still not out of the play-in. Also I’m not really trying to see Miami in the first round. Not happy about it at all.
