Mike Conley on Rudy Gobert’s 25 and 16 performance tonight:

“Rudy was super locked in today. When we were slipping, he was a guy that brought us together. He was the guy that made stops when we needed it, got the big buckets when we needed it. Super efficient, super dominant, and that’s what we need out of him. We need him cleaning up the glass when guys miss shots and they’re trying to send two or three guys at him and he’s still able to fight through and make plays and get his. It was a great performance from him.”

I’ve not watched the Wolves much this year, but I’m a Jazz fan and they’re now tanking, so I watched the Wolves last night instead.

Rudy was mind blowing. I’m used to Rudy being a world-class rim protector and him getting a few dunks and lobs but his offense last night was unlike anything I’ve seen from him before! He was backing people down, pump-faking, going up strong, and catching tough passes. I remember one possession in the last third or early fourth last night where he had three defenders on him, pump faked a few times, then went up strong to the basket. Utah Rudy couldn’t do that. Glad to see him growing and improving even now!
