Bayless only lives to shit on people so as much as this may look like a compliment to Alpe he’s really just using it game to shit on Wembanyama.

Sengun has to be more consistent for me to say that in year 3 he’s the same level as Wemby who is in year one.
That being said if he becomes more consistent I could see him being a Pau Gasol level player. Could be be Jokic level? Yes, but that’s an extremely high bar.
We need that true alpha to step up and then we might have something. From what I see this is everyone hitting their potential:
Amen Thompson: Ben Simmons pre mental breakdown / Rajon Rondo
Jalen Green: Bradley Beal
Jabari Smith: Michael Porter Jr – better defense and rebounding, but less post game and scoring
Tari Eason: OG Anunoby
Sengun: Pau Gasol
Cam Whitmore: Miles Bridges / Carmello Anthony
Obviously if all those hit (again those are ceiling mentioned above) then that is a team with a lot of very strong pieces but lacking a true Alpha. I think between Jalen / Cam we would have to have a huge progression to call them a #2 on a championship team. That with a combination of Sengun getting to Jokic level then you are there.
Most likely we’ll still have to hit a home run in the draft or sign a star to get us to that level.
Excited to see it all come together.

I read and watched all of Alperen’s interviews in Turkish and English. I remember, he has a few times said that he isn’t afraid of getting blocks and he isn’t afraid of being poster. Basically it’s the Jokic mentality. If you don’t try, they can’t block you, but you will lose.

Me: Wemby was listed as questionable and clearly wasn’t 100 percent. And he has zero defensive help on that team.
Also me: Fuck him. Fuck the Spurs. Alpie is Wembitch’s father and next time it’ll be 50/20.

Man this game is crazy with the overreactions. Sengun was incredible but everyone’s using it to tear down Wemby. Hate how toxic it is

I’m looking forward to a potential rivalry developing between the two. Hopefully this was the opening barrage of a long battle.
