I’m just happy that our skeleton crew made this a close and watchable game throughout. The largest deficit was just 12, and although we were down most of the game, we were always within striking distance.

The most impressive player to me was John Collins. He has strung together a few good games in a row, and the difference is noticeable. 2 points on 11-20 shooting, a measly 2-9 from 3, but 14 rebounds (2 offensive), and 2 blocks. He only missed just two shots from inside the arc, and has been a monster on the boards. [He is great at positioning himself for rebounds,](https://x.com/JazzLead/status/1765581495089975406?s=20) and he had [this stellar slam on Vuc.](https://x.com/utahjazz/status/1765578885234897198?s=20) Also, gotta show this [great dunk](https://x.com/kslsports/status/1765573664001720668?s=20) he had also. Big fan of his game recently.

Another surprising player was Brice Sensabaugh who got the start today. He had [8 points and 4 rebounds](https://x.com/kslsports/status/1765563245795193306?s=20) within the first 5 minutes of gametime, and finished with 15 points on 5-8 shooting, 2-4 from 3, 3-3 from the line, 12 rebounds (3 offensive), and 1 assist. All in just 23 minutes. His one assist was an [alley-oop pass to John Collins](https://x.com/Davefox2/status/1765580820457075070?s=20) which shows good pick n roll decision making. He recognized Vuc pushed up just enough for Collins to slip behind him. He got his first career double-double, and was very surprising at his ability to crash the boards. He did have a learning moment [turnover](https://x.com/WorldWideWob/status/1765592045186601044?s=20), although credit to Caruso for jumping the pass and eavesdropping on the play beforehand.

Collin Sexton struggled with his shot for the first 42 minutes of the game, but went crazy the final 6 minutes. He finished with 24 points on 7-16 shooting, 5-11 from 3, and 5-6 from the line. He did have 4 rebounds, and 7 assists with just 1 turnover tonight. He is such a wizard in the paint though, getting [the tough look to fall while double/triple teamed.](https://x.com/camisa_23/status/1765563939624993253?s=20) Besides his shooting, he had a pretty solid game. I’m always a big fan when the assist to turnover ratio is at least 3.

Jordan Clarkson also struggled tonight after his great game on Monday. 5-16 shooting, 2-9 from 3, 2-2 from the line, 14 points with 5 assists, 1 steal, and 2 turnovers. Both of his 3’s he hit came [late in the third](https://x.com/JazzLead/status/1765582682656833900?s=20) which helped provide us the spark to help close the gap in the fourth. Overall he was one of the worst guys on the court until late in the game, where he put in this [crazy dunk](https://x.com/ClutchPoints/status/1765589792614470047?s=20) after getting around Caruso. Big moment in the game.

Kris Dunn had a good game back as a starter. 5-6 shooting, 1-1 from 3, 11 points, 2 rebounds (both offensive!), 4 assists, 1 steal, and just 1 turnover. He was a -6 in his 25 minutes which was the worst of the starters, but I thought he played a solid game against his former team.

Omer Yurtseven put in a very solid 16 minutes off the bench, also going 5-6 shooting, his only miss was a 3pt attempt. 5 rebounds (4 offensive!!!!!), 3 assists, 3 blocks, and 2 fouls to go with 10 points. I’m very impressed with his 4 offensive rebounds, as he was mainly matched up against Drummond who is a known rebound machine.

Johnny Juzang put in 20 minutes off the bench, and struggled with his shot. 1-5 shooting, 0-3 from 3, 3 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1 turnover for 2 points. I thought his on ball defense was great, very similar to Monday night. I just wish his shot was able to fall. I think he has a spot in the league as a 9th or 10th man if he continues at the pace he is at.

Talen Horton-Tucker. I thought his minutes weren’t terrible, but they weren’t good. Just very mediocre. a team low -9 in 24 minutes, and he shot 2-8 from the field, 2-5 from 3, 2-2 from the line for 8 points, 3 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 blocks, and 2 turnovers. His highlight (because he always has one no matter how much he plays), was this [chase-down spike block on Caruso.](https://x.com/BallTimee/status/1765589784649416774?s=20) Overall, just a mehh sorta night from him.

The jazz are surprisingly the best clutch 3pt shooting team in the league, at a whopping 44% in clutch-time minutes. That’s great, considering we were shooting the ball terribly from 3 until the final quarter.

There was quite a kerfuffle with 9.3 seconds left in the game, right after Collin Sexton fouled DeRozan down 117-116. [Here is the clip that kind of shows what happened when the Bulls inbounded the ball.](https://x.com/ThatsAllBall_/status/1765592496417984513?s=20) It seems like a Bulls assistant coach pushed John Collins away, and it started the scuffle. Unfortunately, it had major implications, with DeRozan already shooting 2 free throws with the Jazz down 1 with under 10 seconds left. The refs assessed a technical to the Bulls assistant coach, a technical foul to John Collins, and a technical foul on Torrey Craig (not in uniform). It resulted in us shooting 1 technical free throw before DeRozan shot his. Jordan Clarkson shot the free throw, and tied the game up at 117 before DeRozan shot and made his two free throws.

All that to put the Jazz down 2, with 9.3 seconds left, 117-119. We inbounded the ball, Clarkson shot a 3, it rimmed out, but Coby White stepped out of bounds on the defensive rebound. That gives us 4.6 seconds, down 2, inbounding from under our basket. We then inbounded to Sexton, who was surprisingly wide open from the corner, he took a dribble, and [came up short on the game-winning 3.](https://x.com/SBN_Ricky/status/1765595123537363399?s=20)

As a team, we did a great job of limiting turnovers. We only had 10 tonight, which is great. The downside to that, is that we only forced 5 from Chicago. Another thing we did great on was crashing the glass. That’s been a consistent theme in Will Hardy’s tenure as coach, and tonight we outrebounded the Bulls 46-38. We also doubled them up in OREB’s, 14-7. Lastly, in the first half we struggled getting the 3 ball to fall, and as a result we drove in and outscored them in the paint, 54-48.

The killer part of tonight was our terrible 3pt shooting. Clarkson and John Collins combined for 4-18, whereas Sexton, Sensabaugh, and THT combined for 9-20 from deep. Just the wrong guys shooting a lot of shots.

28-35. What a great game, but sad result.
AppleSlicer69
that was a clear offensive foul on caruso, them refs really wanted the jazz to win, GG

I’m loving Sensabaugh. His offensive bag is seriously impressive, *and* he’s efficient from 3. His defense is bad right now, but I think it’s fixable, and he showed good hustle tonight on that end. From a rebuilding standpoint, him getting clutch time minutes tonight is probably the most valuable thing that happened this game.

Helps the tank. Bulls own the tie breaker, if the season ended, there’s a chance the Jazz and Bulls have the same record, forcing the Bulls to get pick 11, and the Jazz pick being pick 10, with us keeping since the pick we have is top 10 protected pick
mrcolty5
Good tank loss. The Bulls desperately need to blow the team up because my goodness they have no chance

Look, it’s more ideal that we lose this one. With the Hawks win, we are now in range to keep our lottery pick. Also, this is more evidence for the FO that we need to move on from Clarkson. JC had as many points as Sensabaugh but more than double the shot attempts. Pure tank commander chucking.

Checked out the Bulls post game thread while I was waiting for this one.
I was surprised with how happy they were for this win.
A win is a win but you almost lost to the bench of the Utah Jazz.
Hope I don’t sound too salty cause I had great fun though.

That loss now puts us into position to keep our pick, and the Nets and Houston who are below us at the moment have the 29th and 27th remaining strenght of schedule respectively. By contrast we have the hardest remaining strength of schedule we could yet move further down the lottery odds
Certain_Strawberry77
Ended with a wide open corner 3 for a 40%+ 3pt shooter with enough time to take a gather dribble. Cant do much better than that.
MegaAltarianite
Solid game by Yurtseven along with Sensabaugh. Didn’t really expect that.

Anybody kno what the fight was about

I’ve never seen a fan base so mad in a game they won man.
I got people arguing John Collins choked a coach and was gonna pull a Kane on him
Ok_Acadia3526
This is beside the point, but THT makes me want to gouge my eyes out with Q-tips. He makes so many goddamn stupid mistakes
Prestigious-Will-748
Hey guys ima keep it real and idek if y’all are gonna see this. For some odd reason even though I told myself over and over again to ts just a random regular season game and we should tank anyway… this loss hurt like fuck. For no reason too idk why it’s just the way we could have won if sexton just hit that shot. We played well for not having our starters and I just hated what the bulls coach did. Sorry I just needed to vent, idk why I was so attached to this game I just wanted to win😔

Jason Preston would have won that game
