Issues the Mavs have roster wise that are starting to to creep up here a little bit but we got to start here I mean the ending of this game was insane one of the most insane games it’s like slightly is literally speechless where he just doesn’t even does not he doesn’t

Want to engage in this because it is it’s it’s a soul crushing loss I mean that is a Disney Channel movie a Million aund thou 999,000 times out of 100,000 Mavericks walk out of that building with the win and we just watched the one single time where they don’t this is

Let’s just walk through the end of this because to find who is to blame for a loss like this you have to walk through how it happened because the Mavs put themselves in a really good position the Mavs with four minutes and 38 seconds left Maxi CA got an offensive rebound PJ

Washington kicked it back Maxi hit a three it was a 10-point game with four minutes and 38 seconds left Mavs had a 10-point lead that was their biggest lead of the game yeah 10-point and then all of a sudden just stuff started happening it was the wildest weirdest

Like wet wild wacky game you could ever have imagined in this one you had the inbound violation at 3 minutes and 40 seconds where I still don’t know exactly what happened I’ve not seen a good enough replay or not seen a good enough clip where I figure out was it was Tim

And Kyrie and then Kyrie was all of a sudden out of bounds and then he was inbounds and the ref called out of bound violation and it’s wild Tim inbounded the ball to Kyrie and then Kyrie walked out of bounds they said on the broadcast it was the wrong call I honestly don’t

Know what the rule is so if you want to listen to a show that won’t complain about refs today maybe just stop list mean it was it was abysmal I mean I don’t like we could talk about blame like I the officiating this game was atrociously bad I mean it

Just is I’m sure Cavs fans are tuning in because I would be too after a game like that I just want to hear to say the officiating was incred inly bad down the stretch of that game and again streu had a miracle Disney Channel shooting performance including a Disney Channel

Shot at the end literally his best three-point shooting game of his career by by percentage and volume sometimes the universe just doesn’t want you to win like that’s just it oh sorry he had an eight of 11 game he was only seven of 10 in this game second best uh but it

Was insane it was insane to watch us and you know how you know that the the calls of the end of a game were bad when Mark fwell like one of the most professional guys he try plays it down the middle doesn’t you know plays up the the fandom

Thing but not too much and all that he is going what is that call right in the middle right in the middle of the broadcast and like that is just not something you hear from Mark follow very often you know friend of the show been on several times listened to him you

Know forever and so of all of you but like that he just doesn’t do that very often no uh yeah you get you got you know with three minutes left stru had hit three threes in a row at that point that was a wild sequence where the Mavs

Just couldn’t they couldn’t stick with him and if they did stick with him then all of a sudden somebody was helping off of Donovan Mitchell and like what are you like how are we helping off of literally the two Worst Guys you could help off of yeah at this point you get

The uh the the with a minute 30 left you get Josh Green in the corner hit attempts a corner three darus Garland runs into him and right in the middle of the transition opportunity on the other end Luca is complaining the ref and the ref is telling him and explaining to him

In mid transition that Garland smacked his hand and so they’re calling it hand to hand even though you can tell there’s body com contact there no call there uh you have a minute and three you have the offensive foul on Kyrie where Kyrie is driving right and it seemed like his arm

Kind of like hooked stru so I don’t know about that one I wasn’t as mad at that one but it’s just like it’s just a weird call I’m surprised they did not challenge that I I’m I’m actually shocked because even if you lose it so

What well they need it in this one but yeah so you have the offensive foul there Luca and Josh Green get the you know the steel and the dunk ties ties the game 45 seconds left to go Donovan Mitchell then with 30 seconds to go

Something in this moment and instead what did itend it ended up being uh just a timeout by the Cavs and so they were given they were awarded a timeout which is just a weird thing like he fell down with the ball I don’t know I remember

That being a travel back in back in my day eight seconds left MO is inbounding the ball which is an interesting choice by JB bicker staff to have Mooby inbound the ball Derrick Jones Jr pokes the ball away goes off of Darius Garland’s foot and the Mavs get the ball back and all

Of a sudden you’re like okay they’re back they’re alive they have this shot you got luuka and Kyrie they’ve been dealing eight seconds to go and you get the play that you wanted like a play that you wanted Luca had Tim Hardway Jr in the corner and to every to all Mavs

On some of those and Tim Hardway wasn’t fighting through screens as hard as he should have it’s not something that he’s particularly good at in his career you could you could put some blame there uh I don’t know that just changing Derrick Jones Jr for Tim mway Jr would have

Completely changed it either uh if because that’s your other option he decided to go offense defense substitutions at the end of the game and he went Derrick Jones Jr at the end and then he poked the ball away so maybe like maybe that was what they were

Supposed to do but the other thing is I’m seeing a lot of you know comments about why why Maxi and Tim Hardway play so much what happened to Lively why did they not go to Gafford at all the whole reason why the Mavs offense woke up in

General the Mavs offense was awful for like yeah a quarter and a half for a quarter and a half the Mavericks had what like uh like 40 points yeah like just awful they couldn’t get anything going 24 points in the first quarter and then like 17 through the first I don’t

Know three quarters of the second quarter yeah and as soon as you put Maxi and Tim Hardway in there and you got some spacing it wasn’t even about what they produce it’s about the space that they create it’s about it’s about geometry on the floor at that point you

Like you play Gafford you play Lively it’s not the same geometry you’re just not working with the same angles and so I get why they had to play Maxi had some some really good plays late um you know he only has four points but he had that

Uh he had you know the three that put them you know that put them up that was you know a huge play at the end there the offensive rebound that led to that he had some good defensive play like really good defensive plays as well for

Some of those guys they’re not going to produce like they’re not GNA score 10 points 15 points all the time yeah no this this wasn’t a Gafford game I mean it just wasn’t and one of the reasons why you make that trade is because you just give yourself the versatility and

You have options now there’s gonna be games where it’s not The Gafford game there’s gonna be games where it is The Gafford game like that’s that’s it you didn’t like I I keep seeing people that oh they traded a first- round pick for Gafford he only played seven minutes

Well there’s going to be games where Gafford plays 24 minutes and has you know 12 rebounds and three blocks and it’s gonna look great but Thunder game Thunder game he was he was awesome right that’s that’s that’s a game you play him man this one is not necessarily right

And I mean like you said they needed the spacing the offense was really bad the Cavs were playing some great defense you got to get tip your cap them great defensive team yeah I mean they’re a great team that’s why I’m saying this is so so so Soul crushing because you go on

The road and play well enough to win I guess great team at tip off Maps were a four-point underdog in this game so they were not expected to win so if you you know take that as you take that as you will the Cavs are a really good team

They were healthy too Cavs had everybody basically and everybody played uh they got nothing from Garland really except for seven assists which is kind of wild yeah but Donovan Mitchell was really good Max stru was scorching like insanely good oh Donovan Mitchell seven of 11 from three too like I mean that’s

Even insane but you’re used to it from him you’re not so with Max strw and that’s the reason why Gafford didn’t play much again is cuz a big reason why they got so hot from three early in the game was they were in this like deep drop on these High screens from Jared

Allen and Doan Mitchell was just walking into wide open threes and that’s just not the Mavericks defense played so much better and even you look at the like box score they gave up 30 38 points in the fourth quarter again I we can’t emphasize enough the just insane shooting performance that happened I

Think I saw somebody say that last 21 points for the Cavs were seven threes where they went seven of seven struce went five of five from three they were all in the last five minutes yeah and then you had Donovan two Don Mitchell three so Mitchell went two of two of two

Literally yeah yeah they they went seven of nine from three and it was two guys and I think they made their last seven and it was it was 21 their last 21 points I mean because Mitchell banked in the three and then there was another there was another Mitchell three oh

Dallas helped off him that that capped off their 15 three run that gave him they didn’t want shu to hit shoot the three so they help off Mitchell so that that was just uh I thought like it’s a little deceiving that they gave up 38 points in that quarter you might think

They’re def this whole loss is deceiving I know but it sucks because like like I say why it’s so soulc crushing you can’t afford losses so you can’t be like hey guys moral Victory you played well but then at the same time it is like hey

Guys you know what you play like that you’re going to win a lot of games like you’re just going to win a lot of games moving forward if you play the way you played tonight and we we have like they were down how much were they down by at

One point in this game early on 14 16 15 points was the biggest lead for the Cavs yeah 15 and it felt kind of helpless like they were just red hot from the Mavs offense was struggling so badly then Luca had an MVP performance which unfortunately uh is for not because he

Maybe it shines more of a light on him that that this like if that if the Mavs just win this game maybe it doesn’t get as much attention as if they lose on a no man this is going to be the stru the stru shot and that’s that’s what this

Game will be but then maybe some people some voters will go back and watch this game and be like you know what LCA was actually really only good in this game maybe maybe yeah I mean he was he was unbelievable unbelievable copium that that was my
