Drafted DLo #2 in 2015. FO traded him in 2017 because they wanted a leader. 9 years later, one of the best leaders on this team and led us to victory against the Bucks

“Wanted a leader” is just magics buzzword for not liking the kid. Byron hated him too despite him and JC both showing they could coexist. Magic is the first exec to use a recent #2 pick to dump salary. Even sillier to make cap space in FUTURE year for a 2nd max slot that we didn’t end up using.

For those that say it was because we were drafting zo, dlo and zo are perfect complements to each others strengths and weaknesses. And it’s worth questioning if we even should’ve drafted Lonzo with the traction fox and Tatum picked up pre draft

They didn’t want a leader. They had the Mozgov contract albatross to fix. Smh.

Dlo has been the most fun player to watch on LA this season

Nice, but regular season doesn’t mean anything. Only playoff performances count.

TBH getting a chance to play with Kobe and LeBron is the dream.
