The Dallas Mavericks defeat the Detroit Pistons, 142-124. For Dallas, Luka Doncic led the way recording his 16th triple double of the year and 72nd of his career with 39 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists, 3 steals and 2 blocks while aided by Kyrie Irving (21 points, 5 assists) and Daniel Gafford (17 points, 7 rebounds, 4 blocks) in the victory. Cade Cunningham finished with 33 points, 9 rebounds, and 10 assists with Simone Fontecchio tallying 27 points and James Wiseman recording 17 points and 12 rebounds for Detroit. Dallas improves to 36-28, while Detroit moves to 10-53.

  1. Mavs breaking history. Luka 6th straight 30pt triple double and Daniel Gafford 19 straight fgm.

  2. Luka's defense has really improved this season, even if you don't see it in highlights.

    He's top 10 in steals (#8) and had 2 blocks tonight. It's also silly that people want to act like assists just manifest out of thin air, and that averaging 10 assists per game isn't that big a deal. He's always looking to get people involved.

  3. Luka is playing w/ the NBA. He's the best player in history and they dont know what to do with him. He doesnt match the marketing.

  4. Gafford plays hard on defense so should be starting. Lively is very nice for a rookie but needs to come off the bench.
    Wiseman looking better for Detroit these days — maybe he will mature into a good center. His reactions are a little slow in the middle of the action.

  5. I love to see Luka take the record from Westbrook for most consecutive triple doubles with 30+ points. And he didn't even steal any rebounds from his teammates.
