126 points allowed against the Wemby less Spurs at home. Just brutal.
This team is just so inconsistent.
Steph or no Steph, you have to win this one.
It seemed like 80% of SA’s 3’s had no defender within 5 feet. I have no idea why they don’t go inside more when 3’s aren’t falling
Even without Steph, getting blown out by this Spurs team missing Vassell and **f-ing** Wemby is humiliating.
That starting lineup has zero spacing and they thought it would work.
First game this season Spurs have won without Wemby. Fucking pathetic.
Steph carries the heavier load offensively of any superstar in the league.
Since it isn’t an heliocentric offense; he doesn’t have the huge assists number of other guys, so people who only know how compare players with pts/rbds/ast, which might aswell be 99% of nba fans, constantly underrate his impact.
San Antonio without Devin Vassell and Wemby is as bad of a team you’re going to face in the nba
Podz hit the rookie wall?
Wiggins was finally finding his groove after half a season of the most lethargic basketball I’ve ever seen, has a week abscence and now he’s back to playing with zero fire.
If there’s a loose ball and he’s the one closer, you know somebody will outhustle him and get it. He does the bare minimum, focusing on just not getting burnt on iso. His postups consists of literally two moves every defender already knows, and he hasn’t expand on it since his rookie year.
Also, and this infuriates me atleast once per game, he’s a freak athlete with questionable touch around the rim, yet refuses to dunk most of the times, missing eas layups and letting points on the board.
Warriors second options:
-Should be Wiggins but he doesn’t like basketball
-Klay thinks it’s himself
-Will eventually be Kuminga(he probably is already), but it’s absolutely too soon for him to be on a contender.
The 2022 was a Steph miracle
Podz is not an nba starter when curry is not in the game with him. That’s my conclusion
Seconds options of superstars around the league:
Jamal Murray
Dbook/Kd
Paul George/Harden
Tyrexe maxey
Pascal Siakam
Damian Lillard
Bam Adebayo
Kyrie Irving
Jaylen Brown
Steph’s second option: Kuminga? Klay?
#Pathetic
The Warriors were struggling mightly to create any sort of offense against the Wemby-less Spurs. To this day, people still underestimated how massive and generational Steph impact on offense is.
Because he don’t have the crazy assist numbers of Luka or peak Harden, casuals assume it’s actually Draymond creating the plays. Hell no. Draymond reads the plays, Steph screens and/or gravity is the one creating the advantages.
Also, people really love to appear smart talking about Dray as the quarterback and real point guard, but the Warriors most lethal version has always been (including the Kd years) with Steph on ball creating 4v3 on high screens if the center is up on the screen, or punishing drop coverage with pull up threes.
4/18 combined for Moody and Podz.
Both more minutes than Klay, who for basically the whole game was only good thing we had going. Makes a lot of sense..
Love Trayce but man he needs to work on those free throws. 1-5 from the free throw line is not it
I’m a big Podz believer before the game, but everytime he enters the game tonight, he just ruins our offense. I know it’s unfair to blame him alone for the loss tonight but he needs to WAKE THE FUCK UP.
Deeper we get into the season, becoming more clear that we’re just not built for playoff success with this current team unfortunately… on offense we have no reliable shot makers, and on defense they’re driving to the rim at will, causing us to overhelp, and leaving shooters wide open
Unfortunate 😐 not sure where we go from here but hope steph gets healthy and somehow he wills us into and beyond the playins
Kerr wasnt convinced on the Dray-TJD pair for spacing issues and he starts both today w/o Steph and Klay, plus they’re sharing the court with another non shooter in JK. HelI, defenses also kind of ignore Podz and Cp3 on the perimeter. Make it make sense.
I absolutely believe Draymond-TJD can work, but probably not with Kuminga and no Steph. Surround those two with shooters and it would be a very nice pair. Afraid Kerr would go completely away from it
Podz playing the most mins in the game just to be one of the worst players out there 😵💫
Fans were talking about great timing on the Steph injury since we play the Spurs back to back and I completely disagree. This are the games you HAVE to win and sadly, this team isn’t a lock to get a W w/o Steph against any team. Rather have him missing tough games.
Enough of Podz man. Gotta shorten his leash
And here I thought they could win against the Spurs without Wemby. Now we have to face them again on Monday, probably with Wemby and Vassell.
Steph tricked me man, he convinced me this team was clicking.
Klay actually stepped up and had a nice game. Andddd that’s about where my positive comments end.
LOL… this fucking team is just trolling me now.
Well, making the playoffs from the 10 spot would be *really* tough, but might as well end any hope quick.
Podz gets far too many minutes he’s a good talent done well but it’s insane to play him this much.
We would be a 20 win team at most without Steph awful shite.
We warriors embarrassed ourselves. This is not a serious team. They never tale care of business. They get up for big games, and phone in effort on others. Every team must love playing us and our “EVERYONE CONVERGE ON THE PAINT” help defense. I have never seen so many consistently wide open 3 pointers, and I’ve been a Warrior fan since the early 80s.
Welcome to what every game will be like when Steph retires
Klay needs to start next game. We need an elite shooter.
Cp3-Klay-Wiggins-Kuminga-Dray
Could do Moody or TJD > Wiggins
We’re in shambles
Podz has been bad offensively and defensively last 5 games. Kerr needs to be ready to play Klay or moody more.
.500 here we come
One thing I saw was so much miscommunication on switches on defense. Leading to wide open threes. TJD was block hunting a lil too much and Podz was rebound hunting way too much. Spurs every time, drove the ball and kicked it out to a guy Podz was guarding because Podz would be in the paint prepping to rebound.
