The season is over.
Bennedict Mathurin has been diagnosed with a torn labrum in his right shoulder, an injury which will require surgery.
He will miss the remainder of the 2023-24 season and is expected to make a full recovery ahead of the 2024-25 season.

PAIN
Damn this hurts. Glad to hear he’ll be fully healed and ready for next season tho.
On the bright side hopefully more minutes for Shep and Jarace which should help our defense
Calm down. It hurts but most metrics said Mathurin was more of a reason we were losing rather than winning. It hurts his development much more than it hurts the Pacers chances of winning games.
Well this sucks, I didn’t expect us to do much post season besides just getting playoff experience for our younger guys but never want injuries. Happy to see he’s expected to make a full recovery tho
Hope you’re talking about just Ben and not the team as a whole!
Sucks that Benn is going to lose out on valuable Play-In and possible playoff experience.
Damn. That hurts. The whole reason you try to make the playoffs as a non-contender is to give a guy like him experience in that setting.
Next man up. Sheppard is about to play a helluva lot more. I hope Jarace will get more mins too, but I gotta see it from Rick before believing it.
Time to bring ol’ Lance home one more time 🙂
