Then the fourth quarter came along in the fourth quarter the Bulls only scoring 17 points uh to the Los Angeles Clippers 29 they end up losing the game 112 to 102 in this game demard Rosen solid performance 24 points 10 assists from him Nicola vich takes 22 shots to

Get 22 points 11 rebounds two assists from him Kobe white seven of 16 with 19 points and I dumu with 13 points and it’s a bunch of question marks after that the bench production was trash today largely almost everybody on the bench played bad the team did get two

Three-pointers also Tory Craig get did get two three-pointers but everything other than that was mad questionable how you feeling about this game p this was an ugly one uh especially seeing as how you know you you had such a good start but I I think we all know if you watch

This game right what the biggest difference was the drop off of niik lavich in the second half how they changed defensively on him how uh uh they attacked him a little bit more before he was able to get down low still able to knock down some of those tough

Shots but weren’t allowing him to get to that Comfort level where you can do that nice little turnaround float game end up taking more jump shots in the second half and wasn’t able to knock him down was absolutely hot in the first half six for 14 but only going three for eight in

The second half and I think that that’s where it gets tough because you’re looking for that other guy in the first half heck of a half by the Chicago Bulls right and you you you look at demard Rose and Nicola vich and I dumu all putting up double digit points in that

Half all getting to the free throw line a ton doing everything that they needed to do that’s why the Bulls were able to build that uh what was it 11-point lead I believe going into the second half but in that second half you just didn’t have as many guys produced you still had

Demard d r Ro and get you in double figures you still had Kobe white get you in double figures but when you’re going up against the team like the orl or like the Los Angeles Clippers the Orlando Magic why did I get there like the Los Angeles Clippers um you knew that they

Were going to bring it in the second and that’s exactly what they did kawhai scoring in double digits 10 points uh dominating defensively it it literally felt me and you were talking about it before we started the Pod like it felt like there was a moment in the third

Quarter where almost like they they literally like turned this key on a on in their brain and it was like all right uh defense engage because there were like four or five possessions in a row where the Bulls could not get past the three-point line and there was a couple

Of those where I was like listen that’s really good ball Movement by the Bulls they’re just that good defensively they had teren man Paul George they had Captain Carney lineup out there they had a Carney lineup bro let’s get real car stovas was at that game losing his mind

He had to sit down the entire time but uh but still yeah take that for what you will that was crazy that was wild I’ll throw one on that oh it is it’s not turn that was crazy yeah it was intended to be crazy but that was crazy but still he

Was excited is what I’m saying but no like that that lineup defensively there was nothing that the Bulls could do and I will say this the one part that I think is the biggest downside and and I’ll ask you this why are we enamored with only certain guys doing the extra thing here

In Chicago and I thought this during the game because when the second half came and we were getting destroyed over and over and over again in a row by a pick and roll between James Harden and Ivan zubac I literally was like why we’re excited by the Alex Caruso because

Everyone doesn’t do that and when you looked at the Clippers lineup it’s like everybody on that team is willing to do a little bit extra go the extra mile to try and get the ball out of your hands like are we just not teaching guys that

You need to do more like is this a coaching issue is this a player issue because I literally was sitting there watching a game and I was like this is why we love AC because there’s not enough players on this team that are willing to do what he does every single

Game I do I think it’s a culture thing right I think it’s a culture thing I mean some for some players this mentality but I think typically when you see a whole roster do that is culture right like you see that on Miami Heat you see players that aren’t typically

Good Defenders they they but they sacrific their bodies on the Miami he it’s a culture thing and that’s why you know we talk so much here hear about I know I talk a lot about on my platform like identity like seeing this bull Team Building identity is important I know it

Sounds like a buzzword but it really is important it can definitely win you close games when you have that culture built in do and I think about like when we had that when when there was that mindset of like I’m willing to do anything it was when thibs was here

Right and we see a lot of that with the New York knck under under Scott scy too a little bit under SC scy as well but I like I like I literally was thinking about this during the game like the Bull’s culture is not to do the extra

Mile it’s not to give the extra effort you don’t even move without the ball it and it’s so odd to me like watching a team that does it so well at least recently in the Clippers and then watching the Bulls on the same floor and the Bulls were winning at this point but

Like I literally was thinking like I remember we got Kyle corver to try Play and play defense he wasn’t good at it like he was horrible no Kyle corver actually turned into a pretty deep decent okay all right I was seriously when you look at what KY

Corver was before he came here and then look he picked it up in Atlanta too Kyle corver was solid on ball off ball he was like Zack LaVine it’s like he watched for the star sometimes it’s like you completely blown up off Ball but he had

His time his time his time where he was okay on ball yeah it’s just it’s just one of those things to me that it was visibly noticeable in this game and I and I think that’s why we’re talking about the street coming to the end in the second half you knew what the

Clippers were going to do and they did what they were going to do and the Bulls had no way to adjust to it I mean destroyed on pick and roll six times B basically in a row yeah I at a certain point like turn around and look at the

Big dude and say maybe the pick and rolls coming and also you got to give credit to zubac as well for the defense he played I know you touched on a little bit that he played on V in the second half of the game he kept he he kept that

Ball from getting the vot more times than not he only took eight shots in the second half versus the 14 in the first half and that was in large part because zubac looked at it and said Hey listen I’m about to try to stop him and and for

The most part he did that so yeah and in the second half takes took five shots made five shots like like listen and they all were there it is at The Rim go get it yeah so listen it was a it’s a tough loss uh it was a competitive game nonetheless I

Think that the that not to say is a moral Victory you’re 31 and 33 on the season now there’s no moral victories at Point there’s just wins and losses um but it’s good to see that the Bulls were able to maintain a competitive standard versus one of the better teams in the

Western Conference on a trip where they pretty much played better than all of the teams that they went up against yeah that’s that’s for sure like if somebody would have told me going into this win this uh Road stretch that the Bulls would have come out at three and one I

Would be like I don’t I don’t care what the splits so I don’t care that I’m good with that I’m good with coming out of it three I I said uh when we beat the who was that I said when we beat uh it wasn’t the Warriors who we play before the warriors

Uh we play before the Warriors let couple days Utah that’s Utah I said we played Utah fun glad we won uh we’re still going two and two to get out of here and they and they proved me right listen almost went four and0 if they had

Gone four and0 I’d have come in here i’ I’d have been a little bit uh uh uh thrown off a little little maybe maybe a little bit more optimism I don’t know if you saw my video on Twitter but like they after the Le in the first half I

Do apply all right Pat with that said man how you feeling about the Chicago Bulls now we we were kind of bullish on the Bulls to a degree right had some doubt around them they’ve played all the G all every single game on this road

Trip has been a clutch game per se this is the first one that the Bulls lost between their clutch performance how they’ve been playing as a team Tory Craig coming back all those type of things what’s your confidence level over the final 18 games of the season for the

Chicago Bulls I mean listen I love how the Bulls have played and the part that I love about this game is that um it feels like there was a hunger that they kind of got on this road trip that maintained Bulls are now two games still above 500 um without Zack

LaVine and I I think that maybe there’s some of that that continues but it it’s kind of the same thing right like we’re still we’re still going to be at 500 level maybe we get a chance to get above um I would expect us to kind

Of stay right around that area and it’s not because I don’t have a confidence in the team it’s just like I’ve said the entire time the Personnel that you have on this team is a 500 level Personnel when you have a basket of difference um through

Most of these games you end up coming out with these clutch games these clutch buckets these close games at the end of it and you’re trying your best to figure out how to find a way to win them um the the fact that the Bulls have played the

Most clutch games in the NBA by a lot is not a coincidence that again speaks to your personnel the Bulls are given all that they have and I thank you for that thank you for the effort but realistically all that they have is is to be good enough to be probably a 500

Team and so over the next 18 games I mean where we at in the month right now cuz I I said I think they would go nine and seven through the month of uh was it through the month of March where we at in the month right now

I don’t know what it is I mean we’ve played this is now our fifth game in the month of March I think we’re three and two three and two in the month of March so one game above 500 right now I think they’ll finish out there and it’ll

They’ll be trying to give their all to to get to uh um the playin tournament because I don’t see them climbing in the standings with the Pacers ahead of them right now and uh who just lost Ben math for the season did just lose Ben mathin

For the season that is a that is a a blow to that team actually because he was coming off the bench playing really well um and even moving into the starting lineup at a couple of times just to you know stay a couple of the guys that were dealing with some some

Tweaks that day so Ben matan’s been a you you know me and you both high on Ben Maan that’s he a baller bro he it’s so weird that comes off the bench it’s like I mean the way I look at it is this is that there must be something between him

And halberton playing out there together maybe it’s just that they just want some production coming off the bench especially now with Buddy Hill not being on that team maybe that’s what it is yeah maybe I I don’t know that’s a that’s a that was a weird one though

Like every time I see it I’m just like but he’s he’s so good and maybe he’s just more comfortable there listen we saw Jordan Clarkson go to the starting lineup and absolutely beat dogwater and he’s the two time six man of the year like maybe there something M with

It I don’t know but I think realistically speaking the the team is who we thought they were and that’s not going to change because we had a great road trip I love that we went three in one on this road trip I hope that we don’t come home and go one and three

Because that’s how the odds have have uh worked in our favor throughout this season yeah I mean listen uh every time the Bulls get close to 500 we’ve talked about it they end up going on a big losing streak let’s hope that this does

Not start that uh you you know we got we got a tough schedule coming up again at least to start off next week we got the the Mavericks and the Pacers back uh not on a back toback but back-to-back games um that we have those two those two

Teams on so I mean we’ll see how game might be at that Pace’s game y’all pull up on me if I if I let y’all know if I’m going but yeah so uh and next week so next week we got Dallas Indiana the Clippers again and Washington to end

Next week so see how the Bulls perform over there yes that’s not a it’s a tough stretch but you know what this stretch was a tough stretch so I mean The Season’s been a tough season everything’s been tough it’s all tough bro it’s all tough it I think that’s

What it is too right that’s why my confidence level is not high like if we had to put it on a scale of one to 10 right my confidence level is a is a five well it depends on what what what are we being asked that we’re confident about

Because if if you’re asking me if I’m confident that they can move up the standings it’s probably not going to happen if I’m if you’re asking me my confidence level in that they can finish the season strong maybe even win more games than they lose over the the last

Part of the Season I’m actually pretty confident in it I’m still on a five on that that’s fair I mean I mean like like I I think that would and and that’s kind of what I mean even with both of those scenarios right if we’re just talking about finishing out this season strongly

Is finishing 500 finishing strong I know we started 4 and 15 but 4 and 15 was a long time ago at this point um you you’ve played a lot of really good basketball since then and you’ve played some really bad basketball since then and and it’s the up and down right it’s

The it’s the like oh they should be able to work that team out how’ we lose that one they should be losing by 15 tonight they won by 10 what’s what huh the Bulls have the ninth best record in the NBA since December I’ll take that considering like

Listen we started off terribly and then not only did we start off terribly we lost Zack over that time we lost Patrick Williams we lost Tory Craig for a long period of time so with all those things all those that added color added to that I’m still pretty confident in this team

Man but I guess confident in what though I like like it’s like you said but I understand like confident in them finishing strong but like is finishing strong being 500 for this team considering everything that they had yes if you if if you came into the season and knew we were only

Going to get 25 games of Zack LaVine and over those 25 games probably 10 of those of not more were some of the worst basketball that he’s played as far as scoring wise yeah you lose Tory Craig who was a player that we knew coming into the season we thought that he could

Eventually take over the starting power forward spot just because we didn’t know P will right what he was going to be able to give but you lose that for the majority he’s played less than 30 games I think so far in this year yeah then you look at losing Patrick Williams yeah

Patrick Williams has his up and downs but guess what still he’s somebody who defensively helps the Bulls in a lot of games even though he he he’s very passive at times yeah and then we’ve lost Caruso for a stretch over there we lost Demar for a few games we lost Z uh

Uh voo for a few games so all those things added into that yeah if you would have told me that i’ I’d say that is still strong I don’t know man I guess I guess for me it’s tough now because it’s like if that’s your finishing

Strong what are we finishing I mean like that’s that’s like if if us finishing 500 is US finishing strong then like like listen if if we finish with the the win percentage we had over this road trip that’s finishing strong to me right like if you go out there and you

Actually get above 500 you don’t even have to be a ton above 500 if the Bulls finish something like three games above 500 that’s a strong finish does that means you finish out your season yeah but I guarantee you for 100% fact Pat because I talk to you every day if

Somebody would have told you at the start of this season the Chicago Bulls would lose Zack LaVine and still finish at 500 you would have been like there’s no way yeah but I also would have are are they also telling me but kobby white becomes the person that we’ve been

Hoping he would become for Five Seasons now Four Seasons now yeah I think there are things that yes they they would be negatives for it but also looking at it right and and you you have to add the context of how Zack how poorly the Bulls played with Zack like

There’s also the fact that when he was on the court where four games below 500 with him versus now the team which is overachieving without him being two games above like I think that that all does play into the story of like what does finishing strong mean but it still

Means that because you still had you still had a player turn into go from being somebody who played less than 23 minutes a game last season that came off your bench only started two games to be the player leading the league in minutes played and turned into a solid offensive

P because we knew coming into the season we talked about it we knew that for the Bulls to have success somebody was gonna have to make a lead we got that yeah you you definitely get it but I just I feel like you it finish like I said I don’t
