First candidate back for the New York Knicks in terms of the injury front ramping up contact drills ramping up 5v5 action I believe Julius Randall is ramping up a little bit slight contact drills but he’s not far as far along progressed as an ogan noi is listen
Tonight would have been the perfect game to have ogan noi back for the simple fact of the matter of Paulo Beno being an absolute problem for any team right now he is the Orlando Magic leader in scoring uh assists and rebounding he does it all and this would have been a
Perfect game for Oobi to come back uh make his Nicks return after that elbow surgery and lock up Mr Paulo banero but alas we have to deal without Mr oan noi probably for a couple more games he has been upgraded to I believe day today’s status which is great progression the

Recapping the last couple of games I was out of town when the Knicks played the Cavs and the Hawks I caught most of the Cavaliers game didn’t catch most of the Hawks game although I caught the very tail end on the plane when they were trying to make a run but inevitably um
It just fell short quite simple but I wanted to just briefly touch up on these two games that Cleveland game gritty Tough All Around great performance by the New York Knicks Jaylen Brunson goes down down uh with one minute into the game and this team does what it does
Best it grinds out a tough gritty win against a surging Cavaliers team that was at the time the two seed in Eastern Conference and as you can see to the right of me this is something that can be credited to Josh Hart outperforming the big guys over there in
Cleveland grabbing a total of 20 or 19 rebounds compared to Evan Mobley and Jared Allen combining for 20 rebounds that is impressive stuff and Josh Hart is a guy on this Knicks team that a lot of Nicks fans have been getting on his case about oh he’s on the roommate show
With Jaylen Brunson oh he’s not showing any confidence in that jumper he is in the last couple of games I would say the Knicks MVP I don’t think there’s any question about it I think he is the Nicks MVP in terms of these last couple couple of games and what he’s been able
To provide not only scoring not only rebounding but also with passing the Rock and the assist totals nearing triple double numbers almost every time out almost every time out and it’s impressive stuff he went down to Miami got his shot right and now he’s starting to win back Nicks fans on Twitter and
It’s a great thing to to see because we gave him that large contract it was well deserved he came over from Portland last season and he made a an impact an imprint on this team and that is the type of player that Josh Hart is his value goes beyond just scoring he’s
Invaluable to this team and all facets of the game so shout out Josh Hart I had to throw a little bit of an LOL in there um for him almost outrebounding both bigs who just decide to basically shrivel up Evan Mooby and Jared Allen when they
See the New York Knicks come into town or when they go into New York they shrivel up and it’s impressive to see and that’s a testament to the likes of joshh Hart obviously the likes of Isaiah hardenstein even Mitchell Robinson going back to last playoff run the New York
Knicks bigs dominate Cleveland’s bigs the lights are just too bright over there I guess for the Cleveland Cavaliers in that front now I understand the Cleveland Cavaliers did not have Donovan Mitchell I’m taking Victory laps over that win because we also were without Jaylen Brunson for 47 minutes of
The 48 minute in the game so I don’t want to hear any excuses on that front I don’t want to hear any excuses Cleveland was down Carris Levert and Donovan Mitchell but the Knicks have been dealing with the most injuries in the entire league across the board so that

So much um that Hawks game was a little bit weird to me like I said I was on a plane I did get the WiFi on the plane to watch the Nicks game I am that dedicated obviously it was a game without Jaylen Brunson but the Atlanta Hawks also were
Without Trey Young it was a game that I truly believe the Knick should have won and they put together a valiant effort in terms of a comeback that ended up coming short obviously the Atlanta Hawks were able to weather the storm and they pulled away there late um quite simple
Um Mr Johnson from the Atlanta Hawks was burning the Knicks he was toasting them uh so was DeAndre Hunter Off the Bench and so was theun Murray obviously we all know that dun Murray smoke that all Nicks fans were sort of gaining Steam there on Twitter at the trade deadline
He was like thought to be the perfect fit for the New York Knicks Atlanta didn’t really want to hold I guess they wanted to retain him to sort of make a bigger trade package and not rush into sort of a trade for dun Murray they pulled the New York Mets in terms of
Floating and dangling Pete Alonzo out there but they did the same thing with theun Murray um which got all of our hopes up me included because I thought that was a great fit at the time and I would have definitely welcomed theun Murray in the doors but alas he had a
Great game against the New York Knicks listen flat out the New York Knicks just simply couldn’t see the rock get down into the basket 38% from the field versus at the uh at the Atlanta Hawks 50% is just simply not going to win you ball games I thought Duce McBride left a
Lot to be desired in that game I believe he went three of 10 from three I forgot what his field goal percentage was precious AA had a solid game shout out to Precious AUA I just want to make sure we are giving him the necessary props as well because precious suchu was holding
It down he went of eight from the field in that game against Atlanta with 15 points Josh Hart also near a triple double uh he had a solid okay game as well and obviously Dante Dev vinchenzo putting up 17 threes but only hitting five of them he is also a bulk shooter
Out there um at all times for the New York Knicks but even more so with Jaylen Brunson not on the court so not great not good not a great loss but again the injuries is something to I guess consider I don’t want to make that excuse because even without Jaylen
Brunson if you beat the Cleveland Cavaliers without Jaylen Brunson you can beat the Atlanta Hawks without Jaylen Brunson so I don’t want to make that excuse but nonetheless we are looking for a full rebound here today against the Orlando Magic and like I said I am
Going to be tuning into the game but I’m not able to do a post game um my partner in crime my co-host Nick from the he did this to me podcast is also I don’t think available today we’ll see if we can do a post game or a pregame on Sunday before
The 76ers game but this is a very important stretch of basketball for the New York Knicks and as you can see here with the uh sort of I guess context of Carson’s comment in the live chat Jaylen Brunson status today thankfully tonight against the Orlando Magic is
Questionable as we are doing this live stream probably be up here for another 15 20 minutes talking about this game um let me know if anything changes but I would have to guess they will take it to the fin final hour to make a decision on Jaylen Brunson hopefully he suits up
Obviously this team looks a little a lot different with Jaylen Brunson on the court but he is questionable and that game against Cleveland had me worrying so much I thought my night was ruined and I thought the Nick season was ruined because when I saw that injury of Jaylen
Brunson the immediate thought was like that is a no contact injury I didn’t see him bump knees with whoever he bumped knees with I didn’t see that um I believe it I don’t think it was Caris but uh he was he he was out that game but nonetheless um I didn’t see him
Bump knee so when I saw Jaylen Brunson go down and it almost seemed like he wasn’t able to feel his leg I was like what is going on is that his ACL is that his MCL what is that because that man looks like he cannot feel his leg but it
Turns out X-rays were negative they did those in the arena um Tom Tibido said all was good after the game uh they did an MRI I wasn’t even sure if they were going to do an MRI but they did it turns out it was just a knee contusion and one
Thing is for certain about Jaylen Brunson is that he is an absolute Warrior he plays through injuries and he’s going to be out there if he feels like he’s even at least 60% of the way there in terms of being healthy he’s a warrior shout out Jaylen Brunson and I
Love all the sort of love and attention that the NBA uh fan base collectively around the league has been giving Jaylen Brunson because he absolutely deserves it he’s been putting New York on his back over here especially MSG so hopefully he suits up um and this is
Your next three matchups for the New York Knicks against teams that are right there in the thick of things four through I believe seven I have the next slide up of the Eastern Conference standings Orlando tonight March 8th and then backto back not really a true back

Crucial stretch of basketball hopefully within the next four we get ogan noi back and then shortly thereafter Julius Randall follows I really don’t have any sort of updates on Mitchell Robinson I believe he’s starting to lightly progress into some running and maybe some Encore drills but I’m not sure but
I think of the three guys in this order it’s gonna go Oobi return Then Julius Randall and then Mitchell Robinson if I had to guess if I had to guess and this has been a very tough time as a Knicks fan a lot of panic has set in obviously
The Knicks Dro from the four seed to the five seed here recently with Orlando overtaking them this is a very trying time in terms of the Knicks fans or the fan base being confident in this team moving forward given these injuries and oan noi soon as we get him back it’s
Going to be a wrap because he is a nightmare defensively for any matchup he can guard one through five efficiently and his off ball movement coupled to the fact that he is a sniper from the corner three changes the ball game you all know about oan obi’s game I know about ogan
And obi’s game and that’s something that is easily said that he changes the ball game for the New York Knicks but I like that the Knicks have at least been fighting and keeping afloat in these players absences that is something that I respect about this Nicks team and that
Is something that I respect about Tom Tibido not to get into a little rant about Tom tiido but he gets these guys to play hard no matter what they play for Tom Tibido he’s instilled that culture I’ve said this time and time again on the true Nicks Talk podcast
That culture that defensive winning culture is something that Tom Tibido needs to get credited for and a lot of people have varying opinions on Tom Tibido I understand that but nonetheless next man up mentality and everybody in the rotation whether it’s one through eight one through 10 whatever Tom Tibido
Deploys is playing hard for this team I love it Sanders is checking into the chat um let’s see here what is he saying what what is Sanders saying the Nick should sign Joe Harris in the buyout Market he could help the three-point scoring and shooting I don’t see the
Knicks getting anybody in the buyout Market again um I think the most recent acquisition in Shake Milton was a really underrated one and maybe we see some of shake Milton tonight I really hope so and I’ll get into why I want to see him but nonetheless Joe Harris is a guy that’s
Been around obviously great shooting but outside of that like we already have Dante d vinchenzo right we already have Duce McBride Alec Burks and now Shake Milton that’s coming on to the scene here vying for maybe some minutes at that shooting guard position what is Joe
Harris really gonna do for us to be honest with you I agree with your thinking point on that because right now it’s only Dante dienzo um out there scoring you know from three-point Lan for the Knicks I mean Duce McBride has a nice little three-pointer as well but uh

And they are a very dangerous team so I’m I’m worried about tonight I really am they are a hungry team I tossed up a poll on my true Nicks talk X account a couple weeks ago when the standings were close and these injuries were accumulating and I was asking everybody
What was the team that everyone thought and was scared of to overtake the Knicks in the standings my answer at that time was the Indiana Pacers but a lot of people also were talking about the Orlando Magic and there we have it that’s exactly what the magic did so
This is a very important stretch of basketball for the New York Knicks magic 76ers twice and then Portland which you don’t see on your screen here is going to be a next uh the next four matchups very important this is the time to sort of be right there in the thick of things
And maybe separate yourself from the 76ers in the Miami Heats of the World by the way the Miami Heat lost last night so now they are a full game back of the Knicks depending on what happens tonight and so did the Pacers I forgot who they

Knicks tales for um that playin spot and I believe the heat are also safe at the play in because it’s the first six so it’ be the 76ers at this point which they are tied with the same record one game behind the Knicks so that statement
Still holds true but I am not worried flat out the New York Knicks at full strength are better than the Orlando Magic they are better than the 76ers they are better than the Pacers they are they simply are so I just want to make sure if you are a Knicks fan out there

We don’t have oan noi Paulo banero obviously acting as that power forward we don’t have Julius Randall fron Vagner uh and Paulo banero are nightmares for matchups and we’re gonna see Josh Hart probably against frons and probably precious auua against Paulo tonight that scares me at face value
Those matchups scare me that scares me a lot more than if OG anobi was guarding fron Vagner or Paulo banero and Julius Randall was guarding whoever of those two guys that Oobi wasn’t guarding but precious SOA and Josh Hart those matchups do scare me a lot so that is
Something to watch out for tonight um Josh Hart does it all on defense obviously he gets to lose balls he plays hard but at the end of the day Talent overtakes at some point the defensive intensity I truly believe and those are two talented young players for the
Orlando Magic Paulo banero and um fron Vagner that that that that is the whole game right there that is the whole game how do those matchups hold up how do those matchups hold up um and like I said this is where an OG noi not having him really hurts this team because OG
Noi could have went out there and guarded Paulo banero and you could have probably taken that matchup maybe with fron versus Julius because I don’t think you’re giving up much size there um like I know Julius is bigger but you’re not giving up much like length there if that
Makes sense in a way or they could have played it classic power forward versus power forward it doesn’t really matter but I like those two a lot better but now we have to worry about especially precious SOA who definitely is able to guard that perimeter he’s able to do it
Well but over the course of 48 minutes how efficiently is he gonna be able to do that against Paulo banero that is my main worry like not I’m not even worried about Josh Hart against fron tonight I’m not worried about that like I am worried
About it but I’m not if that makes sense I am worried about precious suchu versus Pao banero like I said banero um is leading the stats qu category across the board for Lano magic he’s he’s having a great season I I gotta tip my cap Paulo banero tip my cap
To you because you’re are having a hell of a season Young fella and it’s something that he’s gonna give the Knicks problems tonight like you know Paulo B Caro is gonna get his tonight so how do you respond against the other matchups and lowkey the Orlando Magic
And not to turn this into to the Orlando Magic Show and giving them props but they are a good team let’s face it they are a good team they are upand cominging team and this is a team that plays hard you talk about a team that likes to run
And Gun like the Knicks and they play physical the Orlando Magic are just that as well and the thing about the Orlando Magic is they have length they have length in stature to them and right now when the Knicks are missing Mitchell Robinson when they’re missing o noi and
When they’re missing Julius Randall they um give up a lot of length so you’re talking about your Wendell Carter Juniors you’re talking about your Paulo BOS you’re talking about um even your Jonathan Isaac’s your fron Vagner your Mo Vagner that brother Duo right there in Orlando they are tall dudes they are
Towering dudes that the Knicks are just simply going to have to box out and hope for the best because that length is something that is Elite in this league and it goes a long way and that’s why the Orlando Magic have been successful so the Orlando Magic’s length worries me
A lot tonight versus maybe a small ball Nick lineup especially if we’re still trying to protect Isaiah hardenstein in that nagging Achilles injury that is my key to the game is like literally like like just get a rebound at any cost I don’t care how you have to do it I don’t
Care get some boards and I bet you the Knicks get outrebounded if I had to guess just due to that length but that’s going to be the key to the game who gets more Second Chance opportunities and can the Nick box out the magic efficiently in sort in terms of mitigating though

What it is this is how the NBA has moved toward um its three-point shooting from the outside it doesn’t really matter how much length you have if you shoot the basketball efficiently from the outside at a clip of 45% greater like we’ve seen some teams do against the New York Knicks

S that will be the Saving Grace for the New York Knicks and honestly I haven’t really delved into how great of a shooting team the Orlando Magic are I know Jaylen Suggs is going to you know the magic take a little bit of a hit from the outside shooting perspective
With the absence of Jaylen Suggs but nonetheless um this is going to be very interesting the guard play is what it is whatever whoever fills in for Jaylen Suggs that’s that’s what the guard’s gonna be Dante versus Dante and Jaylen versus their guards but it’s really the center power forward and small forward
Matchups that I want to see that is The X Factor for the Knicks and I think it’s pretty obvious it’s it’s obvious that that is The X Factor for the New York Knicks so we’ll see I’m very curious about the conversation surrounding Shake Milton I want to see
Shake Milton I think he’s underrated I think it’s kind of crazy that he’s become this journeyman um around the league because he really did impress me in his Philadelphia 76ers days and I think this is a very underrated pickup for the New York Knicks and Shake Milton and especially with Burks seemingly not
Understanding how to play basketball since coming over to the New York Knicks like I don’t know what he’s doing out there sometimes to be honest with you I’d like to see a little bit less of Alec Burks if he’s going to continue this trend this is a perfect situation

The game after a bone headed shot or a blunder out there he he’s had no problems doing that he’s done that with a quickness in the last couple of games so that is not good news in terms of Alec burk’s rotation spot on this team moving forward not good news yes Aaron
Absolutely Milton is a definite good rotation piece I was very pleased to see the Knicks working the buyout market and getting Shake Milton I like the pickup and especially with the UN certainty surrounding Alec Burks I think it’s even that more worthwhile to sort of um try out some different combinations out
There see how he looks with uh duing brighten that second unit and just go from there that’s all I’m saying I’m not saying he has to pay uh play 25 plus minutes a game all I’m saying is he comes out gives us a good 12 to 15 minutes provides some scoring plays
