Ian Begley gives update on Knicks’ OG Anunoby’s return, questions Julius Randle’s timeline | SNY

More good news for the Knicks on the OG and Adobe injury front Tom Thibodeaux saying Sunday that in an OB is going to travel with the team on the upcoming West Coast trip, which starts Thursday against the Blazers and last four games in an OB has been doing everything in practice

Five-on-five taking contact. So the last hurdle here for his return to the court is to get cleared by the team’s medical staff. He is closed Tom Thibodeau said, hopefully he’s going to play on this West Coast trip. So it sounds like Tuesday against Philadelphia

Is a bit of a reach for internal bees return and it’s more likely during that West Coast trip Julius Randle Mitchell Robinson. Also going to travel with the Knicks on the west coach trip, which is also a good sign for those two, but with Randall, you know, he’d been doing everything

Except taking contact everything that n0b had been doing prior to taking contact for a long time and Randall hasn’t been cleared yet for Contact at least he hadn’t been as of earlier this week and there was some concern about you know, why it was taking so long for Randall to actually get cleared

To go back to the practice floor take contact with his teammates because he’s been at this stage for a while now where he’s doing everything but that and there’s some concern about why it’s taken so long for him to get cleared because as of earlier this week, it hadn’t happened yet.

He’s looked good and All the workouts as far as I have heard, but it’s just interesting that it’s taken a while for him to get clear for that contact Mitchell Robinson still a ways away for him to return to the court but he is

Also making progress and I think the Knicks are still hopeful that he can come back before the end of the regular season.

SNY NBA Insider Ian Begley discusses Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau saying OG Anunoby will look to rejoin the team in the upcoming week after clearing all of his recovery protocols. Ian questions what may be holding up Julius Randle’s return since he looked to be on the same timeline as Anunoby.

  1. Knicks managed Randle wrong on this one. Should have gotten the surgery immediately after they knew he needed it he would have been back by the time of the playoffs. Randle doesn’t play to very well injured. Some players can make up for it with their passing ability. But not Randle. This was a mistake.
