behind a paywall, but if gobert has done this a few times in the past (and i think i remember at least one instance), then this does start to look like he’s just a sore loser.

Rudy, you are the man. Don’t let them stop you. Call it out aggressively and make the league more and more uncomfortable.

  3. fattyfondler

This is the exact kind of self absorbed victimhood behavior we’ll find annoying when he’s out of the league. Enes Kanter ass vibe

I do wanna remind people that he started this shit over a correct call lmao. And after the call, he made money signs in a 1 point game with 30 seconds left, which would obviously result in a technical. Even high school players would have more self control than that.

Half this sub used to think the same shit. Wonder what changed

It’s genuinely hilarious to see people with these serious reactions like “good to see Gobert starting an honest dialogue about the NBA’s relationship with gambling”… Like jesus he’s not doing any of that shit, the man is just mindlessly whining and lashing out to deflect from his own fuck ups. There’s nothing praiseworthy or thoughtful here at all. If he does have a point, which he doesn’t, then it would be completely accidental

  7. It feels like there’s been a bunch of hit jobs on Gobert after the gambling allegations

Lol I saw a meme somewhere that Gobert’s fine for complaining about sports betting was greater than Draymond’s fine for the choke. Is that true?

This sub and now the players in the NBA are too obsessed with believing every game has the refs determining the outcome for money.

The game is fast, there are way too many possessions per game, there is too many games for players to be disciplined and refs to be locked in, the players are super famous and are good at working refs to cause bias, the refs are overly sensitive and the players are overly combative towards the refs literally mocking them during the game, so you add all that up and you’re bound to get a few bad calls a game and a few bad tech calls a week.

Fan Duel sponsoring the NBA because gambling is a trillion dollar business doesn’t mean the refs are out here deciding the games before they start. Hate to break it to everyone but gambling sites win money almost every time a game is played. The only time they don’t is if the heavy favourite covers. If gambling was actually affecting the outcome the games would end with the favourite winning but not covering.

I will also add this, I have never seen any other sport where players are so disrespectful with the refs. They argue every call, they yell at the refs, they openly mock them by clapping in their face or waving them off. If you did any of that in hockey, football, or baseball you’d be kicked out instantly, and no one would be defending you the way basketball fans defend these guys.

It can be true that Gobert is one of the greatest defenders of his generation and also a whining cry baby with a victim complex. Him and Draymond’s hate for each other is just the Spider-Man meme.

The gambling cartels and their paid shills have been publishing alot about Gobert recently, I wonder why.

Are they going to refund his fine if/when he is proven correct?

  13. Referees have alleged referee corruption. Not off base

  14. nighthawk252

I hope this helps the people on this subreddit see Gobert for what he is. He’s just whining about not getting calls, he doesn’t have any evidence about there being an active gambling ring involving NBA officials.

If I was him I’d wait till it’s near the end of his contract and go HAM on the nba after a game. I’m talking having a damn essay on nba ref corruption. Then ride off into the sunset.

  16. RideEquivalent5102

Keep it coming. NBA should have handled this long ago.

If only the sports media was filled with actual journalists who would keep covering the story.

  17. TerryFunksShoes

Where have all these ref sympathizers been? Wtf? Y’all just been asleep for a decade?

  18. Natureboy7939

Idk the knicks being terrible for 40 years, the Celtics still milking the 2009 title as their only title since color TV and lakers getting dad dicked by the nuggets last year basically proved to me the refs aren’t rigging games. Lakers Celtics would have been an all time highest rated finals. I dont think there is a storyline where Siver thought the nuggets demolishing an undermanned heat team was the best setup for money. I am more concerned with how they are calling or not calling the game now than actually corruption.
