Both him and Harden need to play better. I mean strictly from an efficiency standpoint, Harden needs to focus on getting into the lane and drawing fouls like he used to while PG needs to adjust to more of a catch & shoot / cutter type of role instead of being so ball dominant. The P&R actions with PG as well as the isolations have been tough to watch when he’s out of rhythm. The turnovers too man…that’s the reason why we always blow these massive leads. In the scenario that Kawhi is out again, I would like to see more lineups down the stretch of games that would include Harden, Coffey, Norm, PG, and Zu instead of the small ball lineups we were running with Bones & BBJ. I’d actually like to see Bones & Mann play more minutes together in that secondary rotation, and to avoid being abused in the paint with Kawhi & Russ out I would have PJ Tucker out there just to be that solid 4 that can take punishment down low and not give up easy baskets. Put Theis down low and let those boys work. If rebounding is an issue then try Plumdog. We’re too deep to not be using these guys.

Take smarter shots and hold onto the basketball, don’t give the opposing teams so many second chance opportunities. CRASH THE GLASS. If we just do that, you’re gonna see a lot more W’s on the schedule. Simple in theory, but it’s been mind numbingly excruciating to execute. It really feels like we can’t function as an offense nor a defense without Kawhi and the energy from the team is just lacking. A big reason why I think we shouldn’t understate the importance of Westbrook’s absence, not that I don’t appreciate and value what Bones brings to the table as the next man up, it’s just different when you look at overall bench production and pace. I hope what I’m saying there isn’t lost on people. All in all.. I haven’t completely lost faith but seriously, I have some serious issues with Ty Lue’s stubbornness with the small ball thing. If your defense is getting killed every single play, literally giving up wide open layups & blow byes, and you just blew a massive lead, why NOT throw in PJ Tucker just to stop the bleeding? That’s a situation where you use him. Or Kobe Brown? We consistently fall into the same problem when facing bigger teams, Minnesota especially who by the way was missing KAT from the start & then when Gobert had to leave the game we still got smoked. Unacceptable.

These losses have been a nice combination of bad play from our top guys (excluding Kawhi), lazy execution from the entire team down the stretch of games which includes unforced turnovers, and poor shot selection. The second half of the of the blame pie goes to Ty Lue & these goddamn rotations. There is no reason our defense should be taking this much of a nosedive post all-star break. PG & Harden need to step the fuck up, our whole team needs to wake the fuck up, and Ty Lue needs to get his rotations & playcalling together. We are 5 weeks away from the playoffs. This is not the time to be in a slump. Alright kiddies, vent session is over. Goodnight.

During his contract year too. smh. PG better be ready to sign a real team-friendly deal if he keeps playing like this.
