Homers will downvote this bc TaLk RaDiO bAd even though it’s Mike fucking Gorman making the statement.
ripmeleedair
Holy shit he actually roasted him lmao

I think it’s a correct statement. For the Celtics Grant could be a 6-7th man because the Jays, White, Al, Jrue allow us to really have a versatile defensive scheme so you can fit Grant more easily. Offensively he is always going to be limited and that’s life.

You can’t downvote Gorman if you’re a Celtics fan. Mike has always been %100 professional, generally a nice guy, and great at his job. I’ll fondly remember some of Grant’s antics, but this assessment is pretty spot on. “Imma make ‘em bof…” 🙄
MrBlonde1003
Nah Mike you didn’t have to do him like that lmao
flowersoflight
We’ll always have game 7 against Milwaukee

When I think of Grant Williams I automatically think of multiple pump fakes 😂

I’m just kinda lost on what made him annoying from both Gorman and Dallas? Making bad jokes? I didn’t like him on the team as much as anyone but seeing him get chastised like this feels odd and out of character for Mike
Angreek
Dayum! Gorman with a barrage of haymakers. Even Fred was shocked!
daft_dunkwwwolfey
Damn I love when old people just don’t give af anymore. Although everyone kinda knew this already like an open secret, he just said it out loud. Dude was annoying to me just through the filter of the tv screen so imagine the locker room
Isolatedbamafan
Deuce vindicated
CALlCOJACK
I mean if Gorman says this sure but I doubt he would’ve been such good friends with JT if he was that annoying
Far-Asparagus6416
Goddamn Mike!!! Lmfao he went innnnnnnn on him that’s crazy
Baby_Yod4
Talk about kicking someone while they’re down. I really don’t get it, I could see this being true in dalllas, but Tatum and Grant were really close. How could he be a bad locker room guy when he was super close with the best player on the team
Ghost_Horses
Grant is a big personality, and he pretty obviously rubs some people the wrong way. That doesn’t mean he’s a bad person though, and it kinda bums me out seeing the hate he’s gotten from some fans after leaving
Significant-Rip-9776
This just seems weird. Him and JT are close friends, he was at Sam’s wedding, he had dinner with Marcus after the grizz game, and Al , dwhite, and JT always like his instagram posts. Plus after the Mavs game they genuinely showed a lot of love towards one another
Moredateslessvapes
This makes me think of the alternate timeline where Tatum didn’t bail him out during 2020 East Semi’s when Grant bricked both those free throws to win the game.

Has Gorman gone on the record as candidly as this clip, regarding Kyrie Irving?
Imallama
Remember when idiots here wanted us to give him 20mil a year? Good times.
Ear_Enthusiast
Well damn. I always thought that was kind of an act. Like he was seen as the pesky little brother type and he kind of leaned into that. He’d do something annoying but funny and the older guys would roast him for it, and they’d all laugh and go take care of business. Bums me out to hear that he was wearing out his welcome. That’s too bad.
PlaceInvaders1
This seems very unnecessary. I don’t really believe it either, you don’t last this long in the league as an asshole and have your only story on it come from an announcer.
guccimane333
Well goddam. I liked grant
SteveTheBluesman
A shame how it worked out for Grant.
I recall Perk on a broadcast saying he liked Grant a lot, and that he was like “Big Baby without the multiple personalities.”
