what is the context? AD as a Laker against them? The last nine and seven games? It makes it seem like he’s never beaten them at all in his career

  2. beyondmereum

AD isn’t physical when the other center is. He becomes real timid real quick, looking for calls instead of just putting his head down and dunking on sabonis lol

  3. Love the stat but a better infographic would be points/rebounds not Wins.  Lakers and Kings/Nuggets have had a ton of missing players in those games so win/loss isnt a good indicator of performance

I desperately need another AD dominant performance tonight. 🙏💛💜

lol these posts regardless of player are nonsense. I’ll never co sign individual versus records in basketball. This is just media “let’s create another narrative to talk about”

  6. Tbf, the 9-0 against sac isn’t completely his fault since the lakers don’t have poa defenders to stop Fox. But at the same time, he usually plays like shit offensively against Domas

  7. Hour_Insurance_7795

Seriously, he’s got to be tired of being worked over and over by Sabonis. Sabonis is good, no doubt….but no way is he a better center than AD is terms of talent and athleticsim.

AD definitely has a quickness advantage against Jokic. But he needs a slick PG to get him that space to attack the rim. It worked really well with Rondo. We had that Bron/AD PnR too in the bubble and it was really devastating and got them both a lot of easy baskets.

But AD is definitely not that effective on offense without the right kind of PG to put him in those positions to attack. They have not really figured it out since Rondo left.

Problem is that even if AD goes nuts and gets another 20-20 it would depend heavily on how well we’re guarding Fox/Monk and all their other shooters. We let Fox get whatever we wanted, as well as Monk. It is up to his teammates to help him get this individual success, ironically enough

If AD has a bad game against Sabonis Tonight, it’s Darvin Hams fault.

Its about time we accept sabonis and jokic are just better than AD. Nothing wrong with that. Move on.

A loss tonight pretty much means the Lakers aren’t going to finish ahead of the Kings since they’ll be 3 back and don’t have the tiebreaker.

The reality is, those two are simply better players than AD, not the end of the world, AD is still really good. Sabonis and Jokic are on another level though, offensively speaking. We need a big body center, so AD isn’t the primary defender on them and can play help defense instead.

  14. DragonsGetHigh

Unfair to compare these players when Jokic doesn’t have the same level of responsibility on the defensive end as AD does for this team.

If Jokic didn’t play defense at all (which is sometimes more true than not) the Nuggets wouldn’t be impacted very much, whereas if AD didn’t play defense at all then the lakers would just have no defense at all

Jokic 7-0? What about the 2020 WCF? The Sabonis stuff is right but the Jokic stuff is total clickbait

  16. xxDankerstein

There was a lot of media chatter about him going 0-9 against Sabonis. I’m hoping that’s enough to piss him off.

    How Ad sees European centers

  18. Consistent_Owl4593

I still find it weird we managed to beat the Kings last season without AD. Might have to go back to the highlights and see what the difference was

  19. Wise_Ad_112

I’m with Gilbert arenas now, “BAN EUROS , ESPECIALLY BIGS” in the nba, lol what happened to the game man, where are the American bigs. League catering to the euros now
