I wouldn’t be surprised if Mike was trying to be dry but yeah in all the locker room videos the C’s put out Grant seemed to be the life of the party type of guy.
Tatum is the most important guy in the entire organization and this opinion means 10x as much as Gorman. Happy he spoke out on this cause Boston fans definitely don’t need another reach of a reason not to like him. Just appreciate him for his tenure and wish him luck for the future

Grant seems like a great guy and a great teammate. That doesn’t mean he’s not annoying at times. The Grant hate train can stop, it’s annoying.

Tatum and Grant always seemed close, so its nice to hear confirmation of that. Major cool big bro/annoying small bro vibes.
I’m sure he rubbed some people the wrong way on the Celtics (and afterwards), especially a chill guy like Gorman, but I really don’t think he was some locker room cancer *here*. The roasting was (is) far too playful for actual dislike. It’s also telling that these rumors only went crazy once he started playing bad, just major scapegoat/hit piece vibes. Idk why the Mavs expected him to be a high level starter, that’s not his fault.
I think people forget that Grant was a fan favorite with us in 2021- and then he started trying to expand his role, played worse, didn’t make em bof, and everyone did a 180- but he’s still the same dork knight. I remember his time here fondly overall, he’s too funny and not important enough to hate lol.
Tatum being a class-act doesn’t necessarily mean Mike was wrong, but it would have been just as easy for Tatum to say nothing I suppose.
The Jays are the kind of guys who like to keep shit like this close to the chest though, so even if it were true I’d expect them to downplay it. Jaylen especially doesn’t like shit getting out of the locker room.

I love Tatum for this, such a good friend. Like I said on another post, it seemed like all the Celtics players liked him. Grant and smart had dinner at smart’s house before a grizzlies mavs game, Grant was at Sam’s wedding over the summer, and they all looked really happy to see him at the last mavs Celtics game
