[Azarly] “Clippers vs. the other top 4 seeds in the Western Conference – Thunder: 1-2. Wolves: 1-3. Nuggets: 1-2. Pelicans: 1-3. Overall: 4-10. They lose the tiebreaker against OKC, MIN, and NOP, with one remaining to even it up vs. DEN.”

Some perspective is needed. The Thunder had 2 out of the 3 games at home and Kawhi missed one of those games. In the first loss to the Nuggets, the Clips were still starting with Harden & Russ together so they were in the process of figuring it out.

The 2nd loss to the Pels was the first game home game after the Grammy trip. And tonight was the 5th game in 7 nights without Harden or Russ. For 3 out of the 4 games vs the Wolves, Zu was either absent or on a minutes restriction. Kawhi had to leave early during the last meet up and Russ was out. So these teams do give the Clips problems but the records are not as bad as people think when you look at the details of each loss.

We also torched the Celtics and gave them their worst L of the season. This team is still capable of winning, but they gotta lock in 🔒

Many of these are scheduled losses and don’t mean much for a playoff series.

As long as the team is healthy going into the playoffs, regular season losses are irrelevant. Just to give some perspective, Raptors in 2019 got swept by Milwaukee in the regular season, lost the first two games in the series, Bucks were 5-0 before getting reverse swept four straight games.

Another example are 2011-12 Bulls who swept Miami in the regular season 3-0 and then won the first game of the playoff series. Bulls were 4-0 before getting reverse swept.

This don’t look good but there is a built in excuse to almost every loss. It’s going to come down to Ty’s ability to adjust in the playoffs. I just hope he we don’t have to go down 0-2 every series before he figures it out.

Sucks but we all should have expected this month to be a disaster, 17 games in like 30 days considering all the games they been playing

I know some fans are discounting these losses, but a common theme these 4 teams seem to have is that they can really dominate inside with their bigs.

Warriors regular season records against the top 5 teams in 2022:

    Phoenix : 2-2

Memphis 1-3 (won in playoffs 4-2)

    Dallas : 1-3 (won in playoffs 4-1)

    Utah : 3-1

Shows how this doesn’t really mean much. Not to mention a lot of these games either being scheduled losses or from back when we first started with Harden fresh on the team. I’m not saying we don’t struggle against these teams, but some of you gotta chill out.

This is just showcasing the amount of bullshit scheduling the Clippers have faced getting all these contenders on the 2nd nights of B2Bs, at the tail end of a road 5 in 7, or in these dumbass matinee games on limited rest after travel.

I’m willing to bet we’ll lose that game against denver. It is what it is lol

How about vs the 5 other west teams that aren’t tanking and are pushing for playoffs?

  11. GodsGift2HotWomen365

Playoffs is all about adjustments and injuries

If you’re worried, the opposing teams should be too

  12. Regular season games …with a at least one of our key players not playing in quite a few games…and on 2nd one of a b2b…doesn’t really matter much. We need to get to the playoffs with a full healthy squad. Playoffs Kawhi is different
