Wood (knee) won’t play in Saturday’s game versus the Warriors, Jovan Buha of The Athletic reports.
Wood (knee) will miss his 12th straight contest due to a left knee injury. There is no indication that Wood is nearing a return to action.
FYI, his injury is called knee effusion, the same injury that Gabe endured, he needed a surgey and missed 3 months of basketball. They initially said that Wood would be reevaluated in 2 weeks, almost one month now and still no update if hes getting better or what. If you’ll ask me, he’s most likely done for the season. Big lost especially if Lakers will make it to the playoffs, you need some variation in 5. Hayes is your typical lob threat and roller, while Wood can also do that and stretch the floor for a bit, might be good on certain match ups. Such a bummer. Well, if this is it I really liked Wood’s tenure with the Lakers, he showed some potential and fits good next to LBJ.
