From LeBron James so now the Lakers and Warriors tied for ninth in the Western Conference standing as it sits today but the warriors with a 2-1 series lead with one more between these two teams coming on April 9th I think the bigger story line out of all of this though in case

You are just joining us Anthony Davis played all 12 minutes in that first quarter suffered an eye contusion would not return for the rest of the game and one of the biggest factors in all of this we know how important Anthony Davis is to this squad on both ends of the

Floor this is a guy that the team has not had to play a lot without he’s only missed four games coming into this one hopefully we’ll have an update uh on a timeline there has held the main priority from Darin in a few minutes but

The show goes on as we know and the warriors were able to capitalized really from that first quarter on the Lakers LED 3730 after one through that first quarter the Warriors ended with 62 plus 58 they took advantage on the glass they took advantage uh battle on the boards

45 39 Steph Curry was scoreless in the first quarter he finished with 31 big game as we know we don’t under we don’t know yet in terms of the timeline with Anthony Davis but we do know is without him on the floor the Lakers are a much different basketball team a total

Different team and what makes it so you know obvious is that the opponents know it right away when ad is not in the game they know exactly there’s nobody else that can defend the paint for the lak I hope he’s not out uh for another game I

Know that I’ve had a couple eye contusions and eye injuries myself sometime the blur sticks around for a little longer hopefully not for ad but without him uh we’re not even close to being the team that we need to be on defense yeah James you wore goggles for

A big portion of your career because of that reason I mean feel like ad does get hit in the eye from time to time and what a costly time for it to happen you hope he’s okay you wonder if it’s maybe swelling up like a boxer type of thing

He he got poked in the eye by the the rookie from Indiana playing a pretty good physical game that’s kind of his his millu so far uh for his NBA career and and Alli James nailed a lot of it you know the points in the pit were a problem offensive rebounding already was

An issue for the Lakers in terms of they were giving up too many of them even with ad after ad left at the end of one the Lakers gave up nine offensive rebounds for the rest of the game that’s too much and the Warriors are not especially a fantastic rebounding game

We’re not talking about the The Two Towers in Minnesota or anything like that and it’s just too many Second Chance points you know too many Second Chance opportunities I should say anytime you give up that offensive rebound which Darvin by the way just mentioned at practice yesterday we need

To really squeeze the defensive rebounds keep that ball away from the team that just shot it and the Lakers without ad just really help us keep mind no Christian Wood which means LeBron is your backup big right now if ad has to miss the game on Monday they play the

Hawks here and then they have a long break they don’t play again till Friday they play to Philadelphia 76ers also here in La I believe I heard Mike Breen on the broadcast say Jackson Hayes averaging around 11 minutes a game had to play 28 and which he he produced he

Did his job um I think we have to look kind of big picture with 14 games to go to we’ve had our eye on the standings obviously for a couple of weeks now obviously the health of Anthony Davis is our main concern and focus but from that

Standpoint if there is a silver lining I check the Lakers schedule they are home for their next four their next game comes against the 10th seated Atlanta Hawks on Monday but from then you got three days off and if there’s one thing we’ve learned about Anthony Davis if

He’s able and willing to give it a go he’s shown it this season he will be out there on the floor and then your next game coming on Friday against the Sixers got a win that’s you know they they needed to win against the Warriors tonight didn’t happen but these games

Coming out uh Atlanta they should win that game MB is not available for Philadelphia uh they should take that game so you still want to win games you know you don’t know whether you’re going to move up or what’s going to happen in the standards but you want to be playing

Well this time of the year you want to be playing solid playing consistent every night so hopefully they can take advantage of that home stand and and get back into some good play yeah then they start a six-game road trip James and it’s not very challenging yeah like the

Lakers and Warriors both have a very easy schedule the rest of the way right next to each other uh the Warriors have the seventh easiest schedule Lakers have the ninth easiest schedule so there’s not a ton of tough team standing in the way it’s just disappointing that the

Lakers lost tonight because now they’re really up against it they have to win that game in two and a half weeks also here in La allly against the Warriors just to forge a two- two tie in the head-to-head tiebreaker then because they’re both in the same division it

Goes to division record right now the Lakers are half a game ahead of the warriors with a slightly better division record it’s a lot of math it’s a lot of numbers you know uh bottom line the Lakers right now if this playoffs started today they are the 10th team

They would go on the road to Golden State for that first single elimination playing Tournament game a lot of time left though so we’ll see how that all shakes out you’ll be all over that of course and we’ll have the update on Anthony Davis as soon as we get it but

For now we talked about it the matchup within the matchup this was the 50th time LeBron James and Steph Curry went head-to-head and it did not disappoint 71 between the two of them big game I mean LBJ with 48 and N Steph as we mentioned scoreless in the first quarter

Obviously just returning from an ankle injury obviously Steph you know law of averages he’s going to come back and get his 30 plus points no surprise there um just just a tough night for Lakers and you hope ad is okay because again they play again 48 hours they can’t afford to

Lose to a team like you said Ally Atlanta 10th in the East uh they will be the 10th team probably everyone else below them has basically stopped playing kind of like the Lakers in the west they’re not going to fall out of the play in tournament but this team has no

Trey Young you got to win that game hopefully 80 is ready to go coming out of this matchup a lot like the Lakers we say it all the time when you’ve got Anthony Davis and a healthy LeBron James and are on the floor you like your chances going into any kind of situation

But the Warriors have been up and down all season long but the one thing Mike trell said in the pregame show when they’re healthy they’re pretty darn good in a night like tonight when you get that from Steph you get uh six points from Draymond Green but 13 assist 12

Rebounds and Klay continues to find a way off the bench 26 he had 21 at the half let’s hear from Darin ham he’s speaking with Mike trell in the media just to start with ad Darin uh clearly he got hit in the eye and wasn’t able to return can you just take us

Through what you know about that and and how that clearly impacted the rest of the game he got a elbow to the to the eye his left eye um wasn’t wasn’t able to see out of that left eye vision blurred but you know was looking at the

Doctors they were working on him from the time he left the floor and went back to the training room up through halftime so uh the biggest thing is you know just making sure he’s okay and we’ll get update on him pretty soon and what was your perspective on all of the delays

The reviews then and then the shock clock and just all that and from a just an entertainment standpoint and then also as somebody trying to you know play the game I mean it’s tough you know the game you know we try to get possessions

You try to get the game back going and I think it may have been four four times where we thought we were going to get it going and it just still the shot clock wasn’t working the regular game clock was working but the shot clock was malfunctioning so it’s hard you know

Guys stiffing up real quick after playing s with such high intensity um and it it it throws off the rhythm of the game but you know it’s out of anyone’s control when when the computer malfunctions so it is what it is tip your cap to them uh they came in

And played a hell of a game uh had a couple of different guys step up at the different segments of the game and and uh we had some guys that play well competed throughout um and but you know some looks we normally make we missed coach how confusing was it for

Your team to have to go through all of those inconsistencies and and whistles at the end of the contest it’s tough it’s tough cuz you figuring out ways uh you know and one of the challenges I think they realized braon Hill was you know on on the on the

Sideline so we get three points taken away you know clock malfunctions while we about to get a defensive stop they end up getting two points when it should have been a shot clock violation um it’s just a lot and then all the stoppages down the stretch it’s

A lot it throws off the rhythm of the game and again it’s out of your control there really you know the clock operator is looking with his palms to the sky like you computers are computer so it is what it is I speaking of out of your

Control when ad goes out it s like two completely different games in real time what was that like trying to make that adjustment and when did you know for sure he’s not coming back uh as halftime was winding down we we got the word uh but Jack stepped in

Played played his ass off played a hell of a game um lot of energy uh rebounded well uh it it it shifts everything you know when you get lose one of your main pieces it’s going to change your rotation it’s going to change the groups and the lineups that you you you’re

Accustomed to having out there um um it it it eliminates size you know they’re a smaller team at The Rim so it takes another seven-footer out of the game for us uh but it’s tough but you know I thought we pushed through and you know offensively we got great looks just

Didn’t go down but I thought we maintained well in spite of that unfortunate circumstance Darin a couple for you had you seen a a situation where a three-pointer or a two-pointer was reviewed and the basket was completely taken off the board before I haven’t seen that I haven’t seen that before did

Um um did they give you an explanation as to whether or not your challenge allowed them to look at that or that they they said New York looks at everything um any any three that’s whatever that that was the explanation I got that was so that it is what it is I

Mean it’s it’s it’s good to know now how the process goes but they say it was kind of out of their hands or whatever but again you know we we they their points didn’t get taken away cuz the clock m Mal function you know they continue to play through but you know it

Is what it is you I I think at one point or other this season LeBron kind of sent the lockerman was sort of said like we can’t win without ad I mean like he’s that important to us um the backline as you guys and the fourth quarter really sold out to to

Keep staff off three-point line how just how killer were were their counters to what they were doing to get to the rim and how much obviously you guys you missed ad a lot in that game but did did you really feel his absence in those plays yeah absolutely cuz he knows how

To play that cat and mouse game you know and and and you know we had to do next time we see these guys if we decide to switch obviously you got to mix up pitches do a better job of when we when we switch getting underneath uh Draymond

Um the guy that’s switching on to Draymond whether he’s DH on or setting the screen or whatever got to do a better job of keep staying in front of him keeping a body in front of him and not moving up the floor if he does get

In the pocket we move way too too high up the floor and they were able to get some lies but a a knows how to and Jackson will learn it as well um he does it some but he’ll much get much much better at it but a knows how to play

That c cat Mouse game when you force Draymond into a you know indecisive floater uh but give them credit you know they’re a championship ball Club they got their core their core Championship players a lot of other good talent around them and they made plays Darin

There was you know from the hund uh a minute and 50 Mark left to go in the fourth to the the minute 35 Mark between the challenges and uh the the shot clock malfunctions took about 15 minutes to play 15 seconds what did that do to both

Groups to you know it felt like you I saw some interaction between the players like both both sides were completely taken out of the Rhythm um whatever competitive juices that were were there at the start of it uh seemed to kind of be gone by that point yeah um late to

The party to someone asked that but it’s okay you articulated it well um got don’t worry about him he got delayed uh he might have been helping with the clock outside you never know um n it totally takes the air out of the building they take you know people are

There it’s it’s a game that’s going back and forth you know they build a nice uh cushion for themselves we dig back into it and then you know we make a big shot big play they make big shot big play guys are scrambling competing their asses off and then boom everything just

Stops so now you know you got the fans getting a little antie thust the Boos um both teams just kind of figure out ways to stay warm and trying to talk through what’s about to happen and right when we think something about to happen we get shut down and think something about to

Happen again we get shut down again so it just took the Rhythm out of the game thanks coach thank you that I mean hey guys um obviously a unique situation at the end of the game there I’m guessing well none of us have ever seen anything like that but how how

Challenging is that when there’s 15 minutes or whatever it is at the end of a game um just to try to stay focus and try to you know get back in a rhythm after all that time off uh I mean it’s tough but I mean at the

End of the day the ref’s got to you know get it right I mean I know it’s not them uh but they can’t just let it go on with the shot clock being messed up or whatever so I think they did a good job it’s just unfortunate situation um kind

Of just out there standing around that’s really it that’s really it right guys how did ad look to you when you saw him at halftime was the eye did it completely close almost like a boxer uh what did you see I haven’t seen him did um obviously you guys miss his

Presence defensively a ton but um the way that you guys were guarding them so aggressively at the three-point line how much did it hurt you guys not having him kind of back at the rim and that’s typically like you’re so used to kind of funneling guys his Direction

Yeah I mean uh anytime you lose ad on the defensive end offensive end uh regardless of what it is um you know it’s tough but you know I thought Jack stepped up and played you know a really good game um but like I said anytime you

You lose ad on you know both ends of the floor it’s tough but um we got to figure out ways to be better and win games when he doesn’t play DLo you guys came to this week with a game against a team just above you in

The standings and a game against a team just below you in standings didn’t win either does uh what does that do to kind of the momentum you guys had been building and what is it going to take to get back in the right direction um it’s going to take everything to to scrape

Out some wins at this time of the year they all matter um not really familiar with the standings but I just think that that’s a it’s just the the the momentum at this time of the year every game matters um standings all that matter so for both of you guys there was a

Couple minutes left in the second quarter at that point you guys were shooting over 60% it fell off in the third quarter how much of that was with because of AD being out and being part of the flow or was it something different I think it has a lot to do

With that you know um we’re not accustomed to playing without him he’s played almost every game this year right so that’s something that is unfamiliar for us um but it’s no excuse Jackson played his ass off everybody else that came in you know stepped up to the plate

But that’s a tough team well coach team so it’s not going to be easy did it did it take the for lack of a better word wind out of your sales emotion when they overturn LeBron’s three because it was such an improbable three it felt like okay we’re turning making a

Turn uh I mean the game goes from a four-point game to a seven-point game in the matter of I mean it’s kind of like twist back time um but you lose the time um so yeah I mean I didn’t understand the the ruling on it or whatever it was but um yeah I

Mean anytime that you know something like that happens it’s it sucks you want to score points question uh Austin just mentioned it but it went from seven-point game to a four-point game DLo with all those stoppages late in the game the first question was kind of about this but how

Much did it kind of kill the momentum because the crowd was really into it as well at that point but after all the whistles it kind of felt like the energy died down did you feel that yeah I just seems a little unfair so i’ rather not really go in on that

I don’t want to get fined thanks that’s hilarious shut that shut that door you shut that door I think you had 18 in your first8 minutes tonight are you actively like you know coming off the bench and you know wanting to come in I don’t think so I just take what the

Defense gives me and if they’re going to let me get open off some pin Downs or some transition threes and I’m going to shoot it and I don’t try and overthink things and just keep it simple and that’s usually when our game tends to flourish Steve did say kind of he is is

Leaning into to that idea you call play for you more the game or you sense not that they’re kind of going to you fresh yeah and uh it’s been working so you know I think hopefully we stick stick with it you like it I mean I’ve

Been enjoying it I mean uh the record we have has been reflecting well of the situation so it’s a it’s been a fun fun run KT said that he talked to you guys at practice just how urgent things are how big all these games are but this

One’s obviously a big one did this feel like a big game Clay did feel almost a little play offy uh no offense to crowd but you couldn’t really tell I mean I’ve heard I’ve been here during a a Finals game Z when I was

Uh 20 years old I was very lucky to go with my dad in 2010 so uh didn’t quite feel the same but it was still a very important game and I’m very happy with the turnout from our fans it’s cool to see how many Warrior fans show

Up sorry go go clay you’ve been really open about how that talk with Steve c a while ago helped shift your perspective um I’m curious since you guys had that talk how has his words just resonated with you in terms of your perspective uh well Steve uh seen seen

It all really his uh time in the NBA and he uh that conversation just helped me relax a little bit and uh instead of chasing you know past greatness just be appreciative of what I’m able to do now and the road I had to or the mountain I

Had to climb to get back to playing at this level so it uh really helped me just you know relax and be myself how how would you describe the way the game ended have you ever seen something like that it was a little uh

It was a little weird but I kind of wish they would have uh just done the countdown earlier would have saved us some time and kept us a little more fresh play um right here good seeing you again my boy um know pack 10 you know

Pack 10 pack 12 last official game today you did a lot in that conference you know I just wanted to ask you what that conference meant to you and what are your thoughts about it ending too uh it’s uh that conference was everything for me especially growing up in Oregon

And moving to Southern California um so many great athletes came through the pack 10 and uh Pack 12 now but uh it was just really special you know go to football games at Oregon growing up or a game at Matt Court you know playing a youth basketball game at gil Gil

Arena um they’re finally ending up at Wazoo was very special and it’s very sad to be honest cuz uh there’ll be a whole generation of young athletes who don’t know about the uh pack Pacific Conference and the history of it um so it’s unfortunate but uh I still

Cherish those memories of watching and participating in the conference and uh it’s just un sad it’s just sad what’s it like to see kaminga kind of go toe-to-toe with LeBron obviously LeBron was going to get his but kaminga was going at it too um how much growth have

You seen in him uh Jonathan’s been incredible for us I mean the athlete he might be the best athlete in the NBA just his ability to rise up and his combination of speed so he uh is the future of the franchise and we need him

To do go where we want to go this season we all see the standings and you know it might be tough to get out of the playin you might be playing the Lakers uh in a playin game do you look to that do you say no there’s many other things you

Could get you get to a six seven whatever or where’s your mindset on that you got like what 15 16 games so until those are complete I’m not even paying it much attention because I want to give it everything I got in this last part of

The season and then when that time comes then I’ll uh give it a lot of thought heads up right is low TR was the energy like out there it seemed like you guys were playing a rough it was kind of not a lot of whistles played was that little playoff

Style a little bit out there yeah definitely like a playoff type atmosphere um you know we know how much this game means they know how much it meant so it’s good to come out with the win but also it’s always fun playing at that level that was crazy uh let’s do

Something finish the game already that was nuts but um we got through it K mentioned that he talked to you guys yesterday about the urgency about these are all big games now starting with this one I mean you know you guys have done it in the past but how much confidence

Do you feel doing it again summoning this kind of energy when you know you had to yeah we know what it takes uh we understand um you know I think we got a good balance on our team you know guys who need to bring energy and are

Bringing that energy uh you know was great for you know some times you kind of go in these situations and it’s like do you talk about it you know add does it add more pressure do you kind of just like and I thought it was amazing for

Steve to come in like listen this is a big game this a playoff game and we need to go out here with that type of focus and win it and you know guys were locked in and got the job done you you mentioned your back been kind of a

Couple weeks now um How concerned are you about the load ahead I mean you know just there’s obviously a lot of that St many games and that physically you know the pack oh yeah I think um you know I I always tell y’all I got the utmost confidence

In our training staff I don’t think I could be in a place with better you know and so um knowing that I trust them and you know they gave me to a place where I’m ready to go and you know today was good it was really good um you know I thought I

Think not playing in Dallas as much as that sucker was the right thing to do because you know leading up to that I just kept like getting to a point to where I could play and then afterwards the next day I can’t I mean not like I physically couldn’t do

It I could go shoot but I’d be overcompensated trying to get back you know um feeling good and then we got a game the next day you know so um it was good for me to kind of you know it it gave me an extra couple days of rest and

Allowed me to actually turn the corner I was kind of having some pain and you know just getting through it and getting to a space where I can go and today I had no pain you know you know and so I think um just trusting in our training

Staff and knowing they understand uh everything about the body that one can understand and and really depending and you know on their expertise and they’ve been great and have never given me any reason not to trust anything that they say your trust level up Trace as your backup on certain items you’re getting

Maybe easier minutes L uh I have a lot of trust in Trace you know Trace is a lot like me coming in you know he’s 23 years old in his rookie uh you know so you’ve played in big games you’ve played you know and and for Trace you’ve played in big games where

You had to be the man you know and and and showed the the low you know uh scoring rebounding carrying the team leading the team and so uh I have no doubt that he’s ready uh for the stage that you know that’s that he’s been on

As of late and and and what’s ahead you know his maturity he’s he’s not your average rookie uh when it comes to m standpoint he knows more he knows his role he excels in his role so I got the utmost confidence uh in Trace and you

Know nice that he can lower my minutes and then also no we still got Lon you know and Lon is ready to go at all times and also Dario so I got nothing but confidence in those guys Draymond with all of you guys with all that you guys have accomplished despite the roadblocks

This season is there a sense that you get into the playoffs nobody can beat you guys absolutely that’s always uh you know how we go into playoffs feeling you know knowing that anytime we get in we got a chance and so you know the goal is

For us obviously you don’t want to be in the play in uh if we are you just got to go win a game or two uh which we’ve been in those positions before where you need to win a game or two to close a series

To get back in the series or whatever it is so um I know you know we all know that if we get in do our job uh this last three three and a half weeks give ourselves a chance uh like our eyes against anybody I’m sure you’ve noticed

The trend in points going down foul calls going down uh does that suit you and probably suits you does it suit this team maybe a little bit that you know a little more is allowed out there certainly seemed like like tonight that there was a little more allowed a little

More play loud yeah I think um that’s great I always enjoy that time of year where you know you’re not getting the Ticky Tac files uh you got to play through some contact cuz we are you know we are a team we don’t sell coughs um

You know you can’t get step to sell a car if his life dependent on it uh Clay’s not going to sell a car you know and so we are a team that naturally plays through that you know and we’ve always said we you don’t want to learn practice flopping because all of a

Sudden you get to playoffs and you you you doing what you’ve been practicing they don’t call it those are turnovers you know and we feasted on teams that that does that over the years so we don’t want to be that team uh we take pride in playing through the contact and

And just getting the job done so I think it’s great for us I think you probably threw four or five or maybe more lobs uh to kaminga and maybe one to trace was that just obviously no ad but was that just part of what was there how what was

Your mindset throwing all those lws yeah you know we always talked to those guys about cutting out of the corners uh when ball gets to the pocket and they’re doing a great job of it uh you know there wasn’t one time where I got the ball and there was an opportunity to cut

In wigs or uh wigs or JK didn’t cut you know and and you got those guys cut and leave it up to them you know you rely on their athleticism they’re great receivers as I call them they go up and get the pass and just trust them but you

Know it all starts with Steph drawing the attention that he draws which open the Pocket up and allow me to make those place the lob to JK from like half court um how much trust does that show in him that you’re going to let that one fly

Yeah um it’s funny I was telling AV uh on on the bench a was like that was one of the one was like no no no yes and I was like listen a he’s never given me a reason not to throw the ball that’s one thing one thing I hate it’s like every

Now and then you throw a l it’s it’s a very bang bang play every now and then you throw it it might be way too high and I just hate when a guy won’t jump like because then it looks even crazier if you jump and you don’t get it then it

Just goes over your hand and it’s like ah all right little too high but if I throw it high as hell and you don’t jump then I just look crazy and JK has never never done that to me uh and so I have no reason not to trust that he’s going

To try to go get it and if I can um put it somewhere in you know in in the area you know near the rim I know what he’s capable of doing so I got nothing but trust uh in him and I know he’s going to

Attempt to go get it and as long as he attempt to go get it I trust that I’ll put it on on the money more often than I wones right away Steve said kind of like leaning into that like bench score you see he’s definitely leaning into it he’s

Enjoying it too he kind of like Dre man this is nice like this is great like I don’t and um you know I think that’s great for this team but it’s also shows his maturity you know you go so long starting he’s been starting since halfway through his rookie season and

How the resume that he has build up an organization like he has and then you’re Act take on a bench roll um there’s not many people that know how that feels but there’s a bunch of people that wants to judge it and I felt like early on he was

Too worried about how people was judging it and now he don’t care and once he stopped caring his game did what we know Klay Thompson is capable of doing so I think it shows incredible maturity uh and clay and want to extend this as long as we can um

Like I said this is you know this is our baby like we’ve built this thing up from the ground up and you know for him to accept the role but not only accept the role uh but pour into the young guys like he’s been pouring into the young

Guys since he accepted the role I think it’s been huge and when you got Klay Thompson feeding you confidence as a young guy that that takes you to the roof and you know it’s allowing these young guys to play at the level that they’re playing right sometimes I don’t

Feel like you get the credit you deserve especially what you bring offensively I was learning a lot of you guys’ plays a lot of your stuff is more so off to read and react and you bring that element to the table what can you say to a lot of

Players out there with learning our IQ and what can you tell your younger self to as well with coming in here is was there anything that you would change to with things that you would learn coming into the NBA uh I think um having an IQ a basketball IQ is

Extremely important cuz when a guy doesn’t it it you know it’s glaringly noticeable you know what so um gift of mind is something that you know my uncle taught me the game as a kid uh to think the game not just go out there and play

The game and try to play off skill and athleticism but actually think the game see the floor and I’m forever grateful for that um you know I get a have the opportunity to play with the two greatest Shooters to ever play um that opens up the floor in a way that I could

Only dream of as playing the style of basketball that I like to play play as a playmaker uh when you got two guys like Stephen Clay and I’ve had the honor of playing with those two guys my entire career you learn how to play with them

You learn how to play off them you learn how to use them to get other guys things and you know it’s it’s been a it’s been great for me and I think you know something that I would tell my younger self uh it’s just like you know to

Always remain confident you know uh there’s times in my career where I’ve lost confidence in myself in my game and like yet I know what I’m capable of you know but you know you get to those times where you it’s not quite going your way

And you start to reel a little bit so I would just tell you know my younger self like no matter what you know the time you put in always be confident in that app 40 points for LeBron in the loss let’s go inside the Lakers locker room

Has a job to do which is the referees they have a job to do and they have to do it at the the best they can so all good ad not being there it clearly impacts you guys in a lot of ways perhaps most of all on defense so what’s

The challenge there and how did did you guys try to account for that after he left in the first quarter um well I mean when you’ve been preparing for a couple days you know with our with our prep and you know you lose um you know key

Component to your team in one quarter and um you know we try to pick it up but obviously some things that we can’t do without without ad there was a game at one point in time where you sat right here we were talking to we had asked you

Like can you guys win without ad you were like no I mean like we need that guy um how did you try to make up for it tonight um where did you find some success and where do you feel like you missed also the team yeah and where do

You think you feel like you missed them most um I mean obviously um us having another threat always on the floor both offensively and defensively you know versus a team that has multiple threats you know so um you know obviously when you lose ad you know it just hurts the

Balance of our team um you know we’ve been pretty good our coaches have been pretty good we’re having a c a certain rotation how we work in our rotation so that now that changes a lot of things so um obviously you know go you typ had to them they played exceptionally well

Obviously having Steph back changed their Dynamic you can see the difference between when Steph was on the floor and the last couple games when he didn’t play so um you know It’s just tough when you have a big component to to you know piece to the

Puzzle and you then you you don’t have it did you see him at halftime his eye just looked totally closed up it was starting to close up on the court yeah it was totally closed at half time all the confusion that was going on on the court what were you telling your

Teammates to try and maintain their concentration no I just stay loose probably as much as we could I mean obviously you know was a lengthy um pause of the game and you know we had to play we had to play a set that was called they obviously they overturned to

Draymond Green um play with him stepping on the on the line so we had a set and whenever the game was resumed we just Tred to execute that and uh unfortunately we did I would turn the ball over you have you ever gone through anything like that before

Um I don’t know I can’t I just a long time this game so um it’s not not in recent history for sure momentum is a crazy thing when they took that three away from you that you hit in the corner you felt that cost collectively this

Team some momentum oh yeah it was good momentum obviously um I’ve never seen that be call before like that in that in that particular um time um that was kind of weird but um yeah it took some moment away you get a chance to actually see the video like the

Urgent things are how big a game this is and Draymond said maybe sometimes you don’t want to hear that it doesn’t help but maybe this time was the perfect you know time to hear that what what did you think when he said that were you thinking the same and how big did this

Game become then you a have to tell me anything I’ve missed the last three so I was excited just to be back um but you obviously understand the ramifications of every game we play down the stretch uh I know the guys fought hard in Dallas

And you know lost it late so you want to have a nice balance back performance but every game especially against teams that are you know right in the excuse me right in the uh the standings you know where it’s all jumbled up and that playing like every game matters so and I

Knew we haven’t won here in a while um I think like two years ago so that was on top of mine too yeah how was the ankle was there ever a moment that you had to think about it out there no um it was as expected

Like body felt good loosened up as we went and was nice to just get my reps back and feel the the competition again even though it was you know what n 10 days uh I did miss it for sure you mentioned you know you hav one year in a

While just big picture team you might see again in the playing potentially what kind of confidence can you guys draw from as a group uh winning here in the fashion that you did I know ad missed the the second half but um you understand but they’ve been

You know playing well as well and you understand what they do putting pressure on you in the paint you know if we try to keep the offensive side of the ball simple and not turn it over then we give ourselves a great chance to defend them

In in the half court you know Braun’s going to get his when ad was out there he’s going to get his you try not to let him get too many uh open looks from three and when we got stops we were able to run to JK got open a couple times in

Transition wigs did as well uh so for us to push the pace off of stops is always big against a bigger team like that And uh only 18 free throws yeah I mean do you you obviously notice the trend and F’s not being called as much points going down you would think maybe the Warriors wouldn’t that but in a different way is this kind of playing to you some of you guys

Strengths where as as someone said you will never try to sell a call um does this help you maybe you guys I just feel as long as it’s consistent either way whatever the tone of the game is um that helps everybody out there just play a good brand of basketball um less

Complaining just just go hoop and when it becomes like one side or the other and you kind of feel it that’s where things kind of get a little wacky and you get distracted by it so for us it just makes it about the game and you know playing sound defense obviously you

Know if they’re allting you be physical you can use your hands a little bit um knowing that they going to do that on the other side but it does help you you just stay in front of guys and um you know play solid team defense so the

Consistency is is key uh when it comes to that last last two minutes of the game took over 20 minutes how would you describe how how strange that was it was weird cuz every time I don’t know why uh we we had the hope that we did after

Maybe the second one but every time they put the ball and we’re like all right we’re good and then two dribbles and the whistles came back so I had never seen anything like that in my 15 years uh cuz usually there’s like a backup plan of a secondary clock or something so uh

Thankfully it was only what a minute and some change minute 50 left and once they did get the ball back and play you know two possessions and we kind of sealed the deal from there but definitely weird um I I watch a lot of golf I don’t know

If they did like that playing through uh thing where you see the commercials running they’re just waiting for the game to come back but probably not the greatest for TV stando in regards to reviews what do you think can be done so that they don’t take as

Long I have no idea I don’t know what I’ve always wanted to know what’s the conversation when they put the headphones on and like who are they talking to and what’s the back and forth once you have a good read on whether the call should be overturned or not like

Just sticking with your gut on that and maybe that’s the one thing about the calls that were tonight like LeBron’s heel on the line draymond’s toe on the line uh the offensive or the rebound that was simultaneously touched by two guys and they couldn’t figure it out they were

All like you have to zoom all the way in uh so that’s where technology kind of gets the best of you when you’re you know you’re trying to always you know get it down to the the frame that you can see it definitively and it’s weird

That those three plays were kind of all in a row so I don’t know what the answer is but just get it right he he don’t like replay he’d rather just have a for buzzer beers what’s your what’s your general sense of that role I I do like it to Medina’s question

If it’s quicker and doesn’t interrupt the flow of the game you want to get there are calls that you you need it and it can dictate a momentum swing or a crucial two points or whatever the case is um and especially when you get the challenge right having another one just

In case there’s something down the stretch so I think it might be more just how can you make it quicker than taking it away uh for sure I’ve worked really hard this week to get or you know let my ankle heal but also stay in shape and

Not lose anything so I could come back the third quarter when I started to get going I definitely felt a little bit in that second win that you need to get after missing some time but uh knowing you know where we are again every every game matter as much as it

Does I want to be out there as much as I can and play uh you know solid basketball the way that I know how to do it or n Oh I thought you talking about M minutes my bad it’s kind of the same question I like it but yes that’s

Uh for us to be able to build an identity on how we’re going to play and that chemistry of units that you need uh it is tough you know LOM Moses Dario probably in that order and then you get down to Lester and and Rome but especially you know uh Lon and

Moses there’s probably going to be times where you know they’re going to be needed and they need to be ready um and that’s the challenge that they face you know and the trust that we have that they can get put in there at any moment still be productive but

This part of the year um again building an identity of how we’re going to play and the chemistry of the rotations and having that everybody needs to be available obviously but that’s that’s huge to you know build confidence in how we need to play St one of the things

Trying to make it to the NBA just what’s your thought on that and you know participating in camps and being a part of every drill and then your thoughts on signing Malaysia another female athlete that’s about to be next up on the basketball culture um the camp experience is it’s a

Brand that I’ve take uh you know a lot of pride in just because I I used to come up when I was coming up through high school and college I went to bronze Camp um I went to cp’s camp with the Steve Nash Paul Pierce Kobes um and I got to see how

Different guys uh interacted with the Next Generation braon and CP were out there hooping just like I do we were playing pickup uh Paul and Co weren’t as much Steve was teaching more so like everybody has a different style and for me it was always fun to just get out

There and feel their energy it keeps me young um I can you know work on stuff that I’m you know doing in the summer stay in shape it’s it’s a great way to um give them a unique experience but also I I benefit from it too and uh the

Connections that I’ve made with all the the guys and girls who’ve been in Camp um you know we have uh true equity in our Curry camp with the same amount of guys the same amount of girls that are invited and they all can hoop they’re all amazing it’s where I met Myer first

And to now know that she’s part of Curry brand and uh being able to have her wave you know the curry brand flag and do it in the way that she knows how to do it it means the world to me so um it’s what I saw coming up and what I
