It’s fair to be concerned that it will be a lot of money when Pascal is at the end of the contract and probably not the same guy. However, Pascal is so much better than people give him credit for. For people like Pascal and a few others, it’s always like people haven’t watched him play, so they just say “he’s good but…”

2 years ago House said Tj McConnell had one of the worst contracts in the NBA. Contracts are fluid as the cap rises and years decrease, but even at the time, though it was high, I wouldn’t have considered it awful to the point of one of the worse in the NBA. Siakam is a great player. We may be having this conversion during the last two years of his contract depending how it is structured. It will be an overpay, but he’s extremely productive and for Indy and free agents it’s what we have to do. Ultimately what else are we going to spend that money on and get the caliber of player he is
