The Dallas Mavericks defeat the San Antonio Spurs, 113-107. Kyrie Irving led the way with 28 points and 7 rebounds for the Mavericks, while Luka Doncic added 18 points, 10 rebounds and 16 assists for his 18th triple-double of the season in the victory. Devin Vassell tallied 19 points and 6 rebounds for the Spurs, while Victor Wembanyama tallied 12 points, 11 rebounds and 6 blocks in the losing effort. The Mavericks win their sixth game of their last seven, improve to 40-29 on the season while the Spurs fall to 15-54.
Victor Wembanyama becomes the 6th Rookie to record 20+ games with 5+ BLK since 1973-74, he joins: Manute Bol (43), David Robinson (28), Alonzo Mourning (24), Mark Eaton (24), and Shaquille O’Neal (23).
Victor is the first rookie in over 30 seasons to accomplish this (Alonzo Mourning & Shaquille O’Neal during the 1992-93 season).
