Celtics NetRtg is now +12.0, which puts then 2nd all-time in a tie with the 96-97 Bulls

The Celtics have been on a roll and have taken advantage of the easier schedule in the latter part of the season. They have 12 games to go with a chance to break the tie and move closer to the 95-96 Bulls for the best NetRtg of all-time (+13.4).

It’s unbelievable how front loaded our schedule was and they still got to this stretch ahead of everybody.

  2. And yet Denver swept the Celtics during the season, and doubts remain about the Celtics’ ability to win it all. Not since the 1993-94 Buffalo Bills has such a great team had so many doubters.

All of this to lose to Spo getting 30 point games out of Duncan Robinson and Caleb Martin 🫡 🫡

could anyone with a bigger brain than me (literally everyone) figure out what their NetRtg would have to be for the rest of the season to finish with +13.5?

I can’t believe how the warriors went 73-9 and yet had the 2nd highest net rating that season (to the spurs). they figured out the 3pt variance game before everyone else did

here I’ll save everyone some time since the replies to these threads never change lol

“they have no excuse to not win this year”

    “generational slander if they lose”

“all this just to lose to Miami”

“idc Nuggets are still the favorite”

  7. If we replaced every game we won by more than 20 points with a 20 point victory, we would still have the best point differential in the league.

This is insanely impressive tbh. Like i know the Celtics have many doubters, but i find it absurd.

Like even if they lose, it isnt evidence to actually say that they cant win a championship.

Its clear that the Tatum/ Brown duo is capable of winning it, its all honestly up to luck.

21-6 against the 2-8 seeds in the east with no losses at home, no better chance for a title than the present

  10. doflamingo34

KD warriors and the 90s bulls Shaq Lakers are still better than this Celtics team numbers aside

  11. Bucks going to the finals. Regular season has never mattered less as a predictor for playoff success

  12. jumboponcho

Just comes down to health and focus for them at this point

Can we get an adjusted net rating relative to the average PPG in the league? +12 if the average score is in the 90s is much more significant than +12 with average score at 115.

Im sure Celtics net rating is still top 10 all time but probably not 2nd if thats taken into account.

It’s going to be an absolute glorious green collapse in the playoffs. I cannot wait for it.

  15. SandyMandy17

    It’s the East tho bro

They’d have like 47-53 wins in the West

  16. quidproquolaspe

All that for them to fall short in the playoffs yet again.

Cade Cunningham is -2,874 points versus the Celtics this year. So I think that means they are down vs rest of the league.

Check my math. But yeah. Cade accounts for 143% of all + scoring against the league. Any all other players are like even of slightly –

I could be off but spent a lot of time on it.

There record vs western teams and vs top 8 teams us closer to lakers/pels then an outkier . They’re in the far easier conference where there’s more dogshit teams to beat up on AND all the actually good teams been destroyed by injuries unlike ceitivs . Embid n Hali injury alone is two guys who were top 5 ish mvp lvl players pre injury , Knicks n cavs been ruined by injuries too. The east of heakthy woukd be ok but then as heakth struggles n less talent Celtics beating up on bad teams .

Top 8 teams record tends to indicate playoff viability more. Celts we’re 15-7 vs the west n closer to .500 vs top 8. It’s impressive lineup but the east collapsing is part of thst ridiculous SRS.

all this just to lose to DETROIT BASKETBALL 🗣️🗣️🗣️

“Hmmm yes, they won the championship last year, but idk I think they need to win this year to prove they can win!”

  21. Initial_Stretch_3674

I got knicks coming out of the east.

  22. Chuubawatt

They are jacking up 3s at well above league average, they might still die by it when teams start giving a shit. I do think the Holiday addition might be enough to push them to a title this year.

Hard to see anyone beating Denver is a 7 game series.

  23. Street-Common-4023

Only team I would allow them to lose too is the nuggets lol

  24. SilvioDantesPeak

Lol, doesn’t matter. They’re not making it out of the East, although I hope they do because we’ll make short work of them in the Finals

  25. paddiction

This team would beat the Kobe Shaq Lakers, Duncan Spurs or the KD Warriors in a seven game series. A couple more blowout wins and they’ll beat the Jordan Bulls as well.
