They are unequivocally one of the very best NBA teams of all time and I just think it’s time to R the bandaid off and free Trey young oh go to hell you [ __ ] godamn it and this is the best version We may ever see the Celtics

So if they don’t win this year what happens next start of this episode I want to do a quick check-in on the Boston Celtics you know I don’t feel like I’ve talked about them enough through the first four episodes and I have to because they are unequivocally one of the very best NBA

Teams of all time and that sounds ridiculous because they haven’t done anything and every experience we have with them in a playoff setting has been disappointment you know they continue to get to the Conference Finals they continue to get to the finals even and fall short people have gotten bored of

Jason Tatum because I’ve seen him be at the highest level so often and just haven’t get it done and people were just like okay well let me know when you win a championship then I’ll start talking about you but this season they have the number one offense in the league number

Two defense in the league giving them an plus 11.3 net rating which if that doesn’t mean anything you if you don’t know how net ratings work that’s that’s fine I’ll say this there have been two teams in NBA history to ever have a net rating above 11 the 96 Chicago Bulls

Pretty good team you know good company and the 2017 Golden State Warriors also a pretty decent team so the simple fact that they are in that upper echelon and that rating just means your offense is this many points better than your defense right you’re giving you’re scoring this many more points and you’re

Giving up they’re simply beating teams by a bigger margin than all but two teams in NBA history they are utterly ridiculous in every way they got the success that they had in previous seasons and added pieces this year that have just strengthened all their strengths and made their weaknesses even

Less important than they were in previous years and obviously that should make them pretty easily the NBA Finals favorites right you would think but I am recording this fresh off of watching the Denver Nuggets once again beat them in not dominant fashion it was a close game obviously every Nuggets game is it’s

Kind of just how they play but in a way in which from the start to finish I was watching the game thinking the nuggets are the better team numbers be damned I’m GNA trust Nicole yic and his team over this team in the playoff series and to me that’s interesting because if

That’s the case and most people agree that the de nugget should be favored in a playoff setting what does this mean for the Celtics team right because they can be as amazing as they want to be on paper but what happens if they don’t win the finals that’s when things get

Else for you know a different mixup there because clearly the perimeter Talent they had on hand wasn’t good enough and obviously they did the ladder right I wasn’t right about them trading Jaylen brown but I was right that if they didn’t trade Jaylen Brown they had to do something else serious and I

Thought by trading Marcus Smart they’d go out and find more of an on ball passer there but they went the other way and they got obviously a great five out spacer big and Chris house porzingis and Drew holl who’s basically just like a three and he’s almost like a power

Forward in their offense right he spends a lot of time in the dunker spot and is like exclusively Defender who sits Corner most of the time but by getting Christos porzingis and really unlocking this next level of five out spacing they DEC decided to instead of doing what I

Thought and really finding a playmaker to take that load off of Jason Tatum they just decided to make Jason Tatum and Jaylen Brown have the best possible environment to make life easier for them and be able to continue to give the playmaking load to them right it’s a lot

Easier to make decisions when you’re attacking a paint That’s wide open because Chris house porzingis is standing across the country behind half court being able to shoot the deepest threes imaginable right it’s much easier for them to do that and in general they decided to continue to give them more

Offensive load when I thought maybe that wasn’t the smartest thing and it’s wor worked right in the regular season we’ve seen them be extravagant on both ends of the Court like I said but when you’re looking at them in the fourth quarter next to Nia yic who is the best

Playmaker in the entire NBA the best mix of scoring size and passing we have in the league him and Luka donic are in a tier of the roone of those skill sets I think the general issue of Jason Tatum and Jaylen Brown have to be the ones

That make big plays in Final Moments isn’t gone and it’s just hard to imagine them being able to keep up with a team like the Nuggets who can also lock in defensively and have the smartest playmaker in the World on that side of the Court who’s also happens to be agile

Extremely skilled scorer who can destroy you and as we saw tonight really punish Chris foringas in that matchup right kp’s fantastic brings a lot defensively isn’t the type of guy that can defend yic 101 because no one is right it’s it’s a hard match up right unless you

Have Rudy goar or Jesus Christ it’s hard to slow him down and even R goar didn’t do a good job but shout out to our Lord and savior and we also saw the Celtics bench be a big problem in this game where the nuggets out scored them over

15 points from their bench and let it be known the nuggets have a terrible bench too like this is an issue for them in most games they play and they still were able to have an advantage over the Celtics who who are a pretty shallow

Team right you know you have to be when you make a deal for Drew holiday and Christof porzingis you you you Shuffle the board like that you got to make a change somewhere and their problem is outside their top six don’t have a ton of options and I think they’re going to

Make the finals so let me say that I’m I’m being critical a little bit but I think they’re making the finals pretty easily I think they’ve been Head and Shoulders above this whole entire conference the Bucks need to have Damen Lillard and Giannis click at the highest

Level possible to have a chance of out shooting this team we just haven’t seen it even though the Bucks defense has gotten better they have to have that duo giving you Peak offense to be able to outshoot with the Celtics bring and obviously the Sixers Joell embiid is TB

[ __ ] D the Knicks are falling apart we’re not going to trust the Cavs offense with those two non-s spacing bigs go down the line not a lot of strong competition unless you subscribe to the fact that Miami Heat are going to continue to have Voodoo black magic on

Their side and are going to find a way to beat them like they always do assuming that’s not the case the Celtics are going to make the finals and they might go like 12- one to get there they might beat the the living [ __ ] out of

Everybody in their path but if we don’t think they can beat the Nuggets and they cannot bring home that Championship this year what does that mean for the outlook for this team because if you can’t win the championship the year that you’re one of the best regular season teams of

All time when will it ever be the time for you right this is like the perfect outcome you could imagine with a weaker Eastern Conference you’re getting the best out of Jason Tatum Jaylen Brown’s having an extremely strong year probably the best defensive year of his career

Honestly KP is healthy that’s always a big if with him Derek white is playing at the rate of probably the best role player in the league Drew holiday is still effective he’s only getting older Al Horford only getting older you know like they they’ve caught lending in the

Bottle and this is the best version We may ever see the Celtics so if they don’t win this year what happens next yeah I mean I think there’s a couple things here and I I think you’ll agree with this a lot of times people on the internet and I’m I’m guilty of this

Because it’s hilarious but people forget that Tatum and brown are only 26 and 27 like you can have fatigue all you want but at the end of the day like they’re they’re about to enter their Prime yeah well everybody around them knows that’s where the questions come in right Drew

Holiday is well into his prime Al Horford well into his career who knows how many years he has left they have more options of Ross mov at their disposal so it’s possible but you’re kind of getting the most out of what you get out of that duo I think you’re not

Going to they’re not making any more steps right they’ve kind of hit who they are they’re in their primes and it’s similar to what I said last year where they have issues of not complimenting each other not having high level passing on the roster ETA Etc this is them

Getting the best strengths at the can of those two if the best version of them doesn’t work then maybe you have to visit the conversations we had in past years where maybe a jayen brown shade would have to be done eventually what if the nuggets are just that good like what

If this is just jokic’s era starting exactly that’s that’s my point right I don’t mean this to say that the Celtics have any form of huge weakness I I said one of the greatest teams of all time without exaggeration they are fan [ __ ] tastic but that’s my point

Exactly the nuggets are just incredible and are going to be amazingly hard to be on any given year that they’re healthy that is and this is kind of just like life when you’re playing against potentially one of the highest peaks of all time right there’s a lot of teams

That just couldn’t win because the warriors were dominant just couldn’t win because the Bulls were dominant whatever it may be and if we’re witnessing that start to happen with the Nuggets where regular season we may forget about it but come playoff time oh wait they’re in the finals again oh wait they want

Watching these teams post trade deadline you know we’re seeing RJ Barrett Thrive with the Raptors after being mid in every measurable way with the Knicks right just the most disappointing top three pick in a long time but now with the Raptors he’s found a new home found

A new scheme that empowers him and he’s really thriving same thing with Trey man on the Hornets he’s doing really well after finding a spot in the rotation there where he really couldn’t just fit in at all with the Thunder it go down the list Marvin bagley’s doing well with

The Wizards Oobi is a [ __ ] godsend for the Knicks there’s all these guys that finally got moved and are thriving with the new opportunity brought to them in a way that maybe you didn’t expect if you were just thinking about them pre-trade so I want to talk about the

Players in the league who are the next of that ilk and are probably really going to improve the reputation around the league once they find the next team probably next season I got five of those players for you and let’s jump right into it and number five I got Moses

Moody this guy is begging to get playing time you know early in the season Jonathan kaminga went to the media and was like why isn’t Steve C playing me Moses Moody had a leak the next day where he was also like I’m frustrated too the difference is kaminga got those

Minutes and ran with it and he’s been incredibly good with them since then Moody’s still kind of you know getting minutes here and there but isn’t a staple the rotation by any means right there will be games where he’s DMP and it’s not shocking to anybody and it’s

Kind of a crime I think I think he’s really good he’s just been lost to the rotation you know Golden State’s a difficult system to play in it’s hard for young players to earn Steve K trust and other guys have done it more than him for whatever reasons maybe some have

Been earned by his play and not being able to fit in some of them maybe is on Steve cerr for not giving enough opportunity to develop but either way I imagine in this summer they’re going to have to make some trades you know they’re going to keep their band of big

Three together because you have to right they’re Legends and they can’t run it back exactly the same and the easiest thing to me is trading Moses Moody to try to find another veteran piece to help especially because kinga’s you know solidified himself pods is there Trace Jackson Davis you know you have guys

That are a higher priority than Moody and pretty soon he’s be up for extension and I can’t imagine they’re going to be thrilled to pay him when they’re not even using him like that and yeah man he needs to go somewhere where he can really Thrive cuz he has so much

Potential he’s shooting 71% of the rim right now an elite number 52% from floater range 49% on mid-range shots 38% from non- corner threes his previous two seasons he was around 40% from three this year is down to 35% because it can’t hit from the corners but I think

That’ll come back up like we expected to and obviously he’s a pretty solid Defender and just clearly when you watch him he can contribute to a winning team he just needs opportunity to do so next player on my list is Cole Anthony this one is far less statistical thing like

You know Moody I said all these things that he excels at and I’m like give him bigger opportunity he’ll continue to do that Cole Anthony isn’t the most efficient guard in the world you know he’s small so he’s not the best defender not the best passer this guy is a

Straight Vibes pick cuz when I watch him play this [ __ ] has the juice he can play I like him a lot for no reason other than itest which is a rare thing for me you know it’s not really how I talk about basketball I tend to need to

See things in an empirical way to support what I think with him I’m just like this guy this guy has it he creates penetration he sets up Shooters sets up big men does all the things well from a point guard that I think he needs a more

Consistent role you know two years ago with the magic before they got poo he was a full-time starter and average 15 points six assists five rebounds again not great efficiency but the team was trash as [ __ ] they had nothing going for them it was him creating buckets at of

Thin air right and since then you know they got banero they got Suggs they continue to build out their rotation of ball handlers his minutes have dwindled over the time he went from starting every game to starting four last year and zero this year right he’s a Bonafide

Six man and I just want to see him have a chance to start or at least get more minutes than he does now at 23 maybe that’ll never be the case right maybe I’m just wrong maybe his size limits him from ever being a truly highle starter

But I think he has a lot to give a team I think his burst and ability to create penetration is really valuable from a guard in rotation it’s just hard to find guards that can really drive and kick on a consistent level and that’s know something of value the three-point shot

Has been a bit iffy and I think that has to be consistent for him to really have a role at the team cuz you can’t be small and not a good shooter you got you got to pick one struggle right but I wouldn’t be shocked at all if he

Eventually moves around the league finds a team that is with a really smart coach that knows how to get the most of his strength right like someone like a will hardy who saved Colin seon’s career this year made Lou markting into a star made konte George look really good as a

Rookie like smart coaches like that that know how to get guards going downhill and really just ex get all the strength they can from somebody’s abilities and you know make the least of their negatives he’s somebody that can really shock the world and number three I’m going Nicholas Claxton this guy is

Awesome what can I say really an elite rim protector which came as a surprise last year when he just developed that out of nowhere cuz I think the first two years of his career with the Nets I was pretty low on him I was like you don’t

Really profile to me as an elite finisher you get that wiry build I don’t think you have like top tier athleticism the defense hadn’t really come along right he had some Mobility to him but he was not here blocking shots like that but last year he developed into one of

The more promising defensive players in the league for his age really flew under the radar right as being that top tier Rim Defender and the the the finishing numbers have improved as well as he continue to get older and you know more strong all those type of things and the

Nets are just such a shitty roster construction man I don’t know what they’re doing with their future they’re building around with kale Bridges and trying to just like be a good fun quirky team until they can one day trade for a star whether that be a donalan Mitchell

Or whoever else comes available they’re just trying to tread water and recreate the 2019 success they had before they got Kyrie and uh KD in the door and I get that but the talent isn’t right for it like nothing makes sense there and Nick claxon is a soon Tobe unrestricted

Free agent how the bricklyn Nets front office allowed that to happen beats the [ __ ] out of me but here we are and there’s been a lot of rumors of people trying to like wish it into existence that he joins Memphis Grizzlies and I just think that would be exceptional you

Him to pull the Superstar move and demand that [ __ ] cuz he would fit so perfectly next to jiren Jackson who is a great defender himself and a good shooter but doesn’t bring you anything Rim wise you know as a rebounder or a rim finisher and Nick Claxton does those

Things extremely well like it would be a bread and butter type of fit that would give jaw a lop threat that while Stephen Adams helped him a lot in is incredible at opening up driving lanes for uh slashing point guards he’s not a vertical op himself obviously jiren

Jackson isn’t and there you know just nobody on the roster that really brings that and I think it could be really unique thing that that team isn’t used to playing with and I’m always a fan of pairing elite shot blocker with elite shot blocker it’s kind of a very

Consistent formula to building highle defenses all in all I need to happen make this man at Memphis Grizzlies please even if it’s not the Grizzlies get this man the [ __ ] out of Brooklyn get everybody with Talent out of Brooklyn please I need to see them Thrive elsewhere number two I’m going to

Go Anthony Simons before the season started I picked Simons to be my most improved player at the year and game one immediately broke his hand and missed six weeks I was so frustrated CU I was like oh my God y don’t realize what he’s going to do once he’s out of the shadow

Of Damen Lillard and has his team to himself he’s going to thrive and I thought I was right too because the first 10 games back he was killing it averaging a very efficient 24 points per game six assist looked to be making the leap that I knew he could make but then

Things started going Ary people don’t talk about it but the Portland trailers are quietly one of the most down bad teams in the league I think they have one of the worst coaches in the league they have no structure they are having this weird Middle Ground between letting

SCU Henderson develop while also giving Malcolm Brockton a lot of minutes and not trading him while also having Anthony assment out there trying to get his deandre’s out here running around hoping someone sets him up but nobody can because all their point guards [ __ ] suck at passing and he’s out

Watch them you can really look at DeAndre Aiden and be like this is your fault like they have no structure offensively and I said there’s no way anybody’s put in position to succeed so I need anony Simons to go find a new team that will actually put him in that

Position they should trade him fully commit to scw Henderson and shad sharp as your backt of the future and let Simons go somewhere with some structure where he can use his truly elite shot making ability continue to develop as a passer hopefully develop as a Defender cuz he’s atrocious at that admittedly

But he can give somebody some real punch as a starter that I don’t think is going to happen long term with the Trailblazers I need this man to either be a Spur or Orlando Magic so bad speaking of the Spurs at number one I’m going Trey young and what what can I say

An NBA redraft you know this is always one of the most popular things in NBA media everybody loves looking back on draft classes and thinking where did we go wrong where did we go right which team should have picked who I’m no different it’s fun I do it all the time

Today we’re going to redraft one of the most talked about draft classes in a while at the time and after the 2021 NBA draft class quite a mix of highs and lows here a lot of disappointments but a lot of sleeper picks that surprised us

I’m going to go from the top 10 to one and let’s simple and plain Let’s do an NBA a redraft for the first two picks at number 10 and number nine I’m going to go Trey Murphy and Herb Jones you can put these guys in either or you want you

Know they’re on the same team personally I lean to Herb Jones because I think his ability to be legitimately one of the best perimeter defenders in the entire NBA right like in an era of offensive oriented rule sets that make it really hard to be a truly Elite one-on-one

Defender because you just can’t stop people one-onone with that much space around you and that inability to touch people he manages to put people in jail like yesterday they played the Pacers and Tyrese halir had a [ __ ] goose egg Z points in the whole game granted he didn’t play the fourth quarter because

Of a huge blowout but herb Jones had that man in Alcatraz it was crazy he puts people in a torture chamber routinely in a way not many guys can and on top of that he’s shooting 40% from three this year and I think he’s truly

Just one of the best role players in the entire league at this point well I think try Murphy may have a higher ceiling if things go well like I think there’s a path of him becoming a star Wing one day if you know the usage is given to him
