The Phoenix Suns defeated the Denver Nuggets, 104-97. Kevin Durant led Phoenix with 30 points, along with season-highs in rebounds (13) and blocks (5), as Devin Booker added 17 points, 5 rebounds, and 9 assists. Nikola Jokic led Denver with 22 points, 9 rebounds, and 10 assists. Phoenix improves to 43-30 as the Nuggets move to 51-22. The Suns move to the 7 seed with the win.
With his 8th assist of the game tonight, Nikola Jokic became the first player in NBA history to record 8K points, 4K rebounds, and 3k assists over a 5-year span (2019-20 to 2023-24).

A gritty, impressive win by Phoenix. Although Booker and Beal didn't have the best night shooting, they (and the Suns players in general) were patient with the ball and avoided forcing up bad shots. Suns relied a lot on Durant for scoring and defense tonight to keep the pressure on Denver. Beal in particular kept the ball moving and tried to attack to keep Denver's defense honest and keep his teammates involved. Eubanks had a lot of uncredited work to do at the pivot, and did a great job. Suns continue to turn the ball over, and Durant got stripped a few times (as in other recent games). Yet the Suns continued to believe throughout the game, extended the lead, and got Jokic flustered.
On that note, I also like how the Suns used fouls in this game; it prevented easy buckets and disrupted the Nuggets' energy. I liked Booker's timeout with 39 seconds left for the same reason. Thaddeus Young was a good spark off the bench. Suns were pretty good on defensive rotations, and the team rebounded well tonight (again). OKC will not be having an easy time Friday night.

Having Jamal out really hurt tonight. Jokic didn’t have much of a second option, and the bench just kinda deflated as the game went on. Suns played really well too. Couldn’t miss from 3
