    Paul pierce nowadays

Dwade could’ve had 2 finals MVPs if LeBron played better against Dallas

  3. This MF goes out of his way to hate on the Heatles

He’s right we should have beat the Mavericks but LeBron massively choked.

I take his comment very seriously

Paul Pierce is an expert in underachieving super teams

I don’t think underachieved is the right word. They didn’t live up to the impossibly crazy hype.

In 2011 I will acknowledge that LeBron choked and refused to post up. But what fails to get discussed is the early chemistry issues and how bad the rest of that roster was.

Meanwhile Wade was never quite the same after that knee injury in 2012. He was still a really good player but not like top of the league good. So given that I think they achieved just fine.

3 chips would have been the ultimate achievement.

We should have beat Dallas. That’s the only flat out failure of the Heatles era. But I can’t be too mad about splitting against San Antonio. Wade was at the end of his prime and that Spurs team was just poetry in motion and wanted revenge

  10. For once I agree with Paul Pierce 😭 can’t believe I’m saying this

Says the dude still milking 1 ring from 16 years ago

I hate this guy as much as the rest of y’all, but he’s right. We had a top 2 player of all time, along with two other all stars (granted wade did really start feeling the effects of having no knees in 2013) and we should have won in 2011. 2014 I’m not upset about cause they felt like the nuggets of last year where it didn’t matter what we had, they were just the best team

So a 4-peat on LeBron’s 4 villian years with the Heat until he went full bitch and went back to the city that crucified him when he made “the decision?”

  14. TheRealGlutenbob

He’s not wrong. We should have had the first 3.

I don’t disagree, but Paul Pierce’s Big 3 Celtics *also* massively underachieved. They get an absurd amount of run and clout from their one ring.

  16. Cheesy_Pita_Parker

He’s incapable of STFU about us. Our team hurt him.

  17. Fair_University

Lol this is rich coming from Paul Pierce

  18. TheKing_OA

He’s not wrong. The 2011 series was ours.

3/4 is exactly what Shaq-Kobe won in the Finals. Would’ve been special.

At first, I thought they did and PP’s take isn’t a bad one. But the way I see it: how many “super teams” or “big 3s” have been formed since 2014? Then ask yourselves how many of them won at least one chip? My point is, even if with a dynasty-potential squad, it’s incredibly hard to win it all. Plus Wade was at the tail end of his career. I think the underachievement argument bolsters if we had the 2008 version of Wade but that wasn’t the case here.

  20. All the comments here keep saying they agree but can’t the same be said about nearly every “super team” that has been formed since. The most successful one was the KD Warriors and they won 2 in 3 years.

Kobe, Nash, Gasol and Dwight failed
    Westbrook, PG, Melo failed
    KD, Kyrie, Harden failed
Every iteration of the Kawhi – PG Clippers hasn’t resulted in a championship so far
This Suns team isn’t exactly dominating the league

There could be other ones I’m missing. The point is throwing a bunch of talent on a team doesn’t automatically result in a championship. Any team that wins a championship has to work hard for it and that work shouldn’t be discredited.

I thought he believed they weren’t that good. So inconsistent
