The Sacramento Kings Get Swept in Crucial Mini-Playoff Series | Locked On Kings

Over the next 30 or so minutes I’m going to be breaking down tonight’s Sacramento Kings loss to the Dallas Mavericks but let me make something perfectly clear from the jump these two straight Kings versus Mavericks games were called a mini playoff series with essentially the six seed in the Western Conference on

The line and the Mavericks came into Sacramento and straight beat the kings in two very different basketball games no excuses it’s win or lose that’s all that matters in the could not get the job done the season is not over by any means but their road to the playoffs to

Avoid the playin just got a whole heck of a lot harder we’re going to break it down right here on locked on Kings you are locked on Kings your daily Sacramento Kings podcast part of the locked on podcast Network your team every day and now ladies and gentlemen

It is that time time for another episode of locked on Kings hello and welcome to locked on Kings your podcast hub for Sacramento Kings coverage all season long today’s episode is brought to you by FanDuel make every moment more right now new customers get $200 in bonus Bets with

Long playoff drought which was an NBA record they did so in Portland this day March 29th last year and now a year later the Kings drop probably the biggest game of the season at home against the Dallas Mavericks like I said in the intro two massive games that went

In very different directions but the result is the same the Kings on the losing end and the Mavericks now two games ahead of the Sacramento Kings uh in the standings and two games with nine games remaining is a much more significant Gap than it might look or feel now it’s not

Insurmountable the kings are certainly not out of it we can break that down and talk about that uh towards the end of the podcast when we look at the Kings upcoming schedule the Mavericks upcoming schedule of course the Phoenix Suns are still in the mix so it’s not over the

Season is not over tonight you might be feeling Doom and Gloom you might be feeling pretty frustrated and I already know the raccoon Squad a lot of you Mavericks fans are going to be in my comment section doing your Victory laps and having fun you know what congratulations you deserve it the

Mavericks came into Sacramento and straight beat the Sacramento Kings and tonight they won 107 to 103 game one they destroyed the Kings by beating them by 36 tonight they battled back from a 15o deficit and took their first lead with 6 minutes remaining in the game and

Ended up hitting big shots led by their two stars and for me both games simply come down to the Kings offense right Mike Brown talked a lot about it after Tuesday night’s loss the first game between these two teams I was ready to talk about the defense and the defensive

Shortcomings that the Kings had uh by allowing not just Luca and Kyrie but the entire Maverick supportting cast to beat them in that first game tonight was a little bit different story at least with the Maverick’s supportting cast however tonight defensively the Kings gave up 34 points in the fourth quarter after

Allowing only 26 points 25 points and 22 points in the first three quarters dearen Fox was quick to point that out postgame so defensively in the final quarter the Kings had their worst quarter of the game of course that’s a major reason why they lost this game and

The Dallas Mavericks were able to win it but Mike on Tuesday after the game focused on the offense and thought that the Kings offense is what led to a lot of the Mavericks points and what led to them having such a bad defensive night and in my opinion in the second straight

Game massive got to Havoc games the Kings offense let them down tonight because like I mentioned you gave up 34 points in the fourth quarter that’s certainly not good enough but offensively you had multiple opportunities to create separation when the Mavericks got this game close and eventually took the lead and the Kings

Answer the game was tied went back and forth the Kings even though they had a overall poor defensive quarter they managed to force three or four straight stops where essentially the the the only looks that the Mavericks could generate were wideopen uh threes or or jumpers

For Dante exom now he eventually hit one of them which was a big three that helped the Mavericks win this game but I think in three straight possessions exom missed shots the Kings managed to string together three consecutive stops down the stretch based off of how good we

Believe this Kings team to be that should be enough for them to be able to put a game away on their home floor instead dearon Fox missed shot dearon Fox missed shot Harrison Barn missed three and then you had that massive turnover at the end of the game as well

Which uh we’ll get into in a little bit but the Kings offensively LED themselves down again the fourth quarter offensive execution tonight was just not good enough and this game simply comes down to star power like I mentioned in the first game the kings were torched by The

Supporting Cast of the Mavs whether it was uh Tim Hardway Jr PJ Washington whoever it was like the the Mavericks I think went 14 of 22 from their non Kyrie and Luca donic players from the perimeter in that game that’s why they lost by 30

In this game it was Luca and Kyrie that destroyed Sacramento Luca 26 points six of 14 shooting from the field four of eight from three-point range nine rebounds 12 assists two steals in the fourth quarter seven points two of three from three-point range three rebounds four assists so even if Luca wasn’t

Doing all the scoring in the fourth quarter he was still Distributing getting his teammates involved and they were knocking down Shots by his shot creation then you have Kyrie Irving for the game 30 points 11 of 16 from the field three of five from three-point range three rebounds two assists in the

Fourth quarter Kyrie Irving 14 points a perfect four of four from the field and two of two from threo range so you got a combined 56 points from your stars meanwhile the Sacramento King Stars dearon Fox tonight 23 points nine of 22 shooting from the field three of seven from three-point

Range six rebounds five assists three steals he played 40 minutes tonight in the fourth quarter six points two of seven shooting from the field damont sabonis 13 points tonight did have a triple double did have his 69th double double of the season did have his 56th straight double double which breaks

A Sacramento Kings franchise record or I just Kings franchise record I should say not um but he had zero points points zero points in the fourth quarter it’s not just all on your stars right but in a game where the kings were dealing with the injury issues that they

Are dealing with right now we’ll break that down because things are getting serious in the injury department for Sacramento we have seen dearn Fox just last season dearon Fox won the clutch Player of the Year award this season he’s still at the top of the league or

Amongst the top of the league in fourth quarter scoring in terms of total points scored in the fourth quarter right we know dearen fox has the clutch Gene and we know dear Fox can be that superstar in the fourth quarter but tonight there’s really no other way to

Put it you saw the levels between Kyrie and Luca and dearen now it could just be a nightly thing although I’m pretty sure you pull most people they will tell you that Luca and Kyrie are the better players and have had a better career than dearon Fox had

Now I think Darren can go toe-to-toe with either of them on any given night I know he can tonight he didn’t go toe-to-toe with them tonight they were a level above him and the Dallas Mavericks won this game because they were a level above dearon fox fox tried it wasn’t

Just him chucking threes in the fourth quarter which I really appreciate although some of the Kings shot selection in the fourth quarter I didn’t think was good at all but dearon missed some crucial shots Kings tried to play a little too much hero ball which of course is what the Dallas Mavericks were

Doing but when you have two Bonafide isolation Heroes and Kyrie and Luca you can get away with that a little bit more than the Kings can to get zero points from damont sabonis I don’t care how good his numbers are I don’t care how great of a triple double it is

Considering how short-handed the kings were in this game is just not good enough and again if you’ve listened to lockon Kings consistently over the last two years you know how big of a fan I am of damont sabonis you know how big of a Defender I am of damont sabonis but I’m

A realist this is a massive game this is the biggest game of the season it’s a bonafide playoff game it is a game for you to that you kind of have to have if you want to avoid the play in and secure a playoff spot outright it didn’t

Guarantee you a playoff spot but put you in a significantly better position and your Stars One struggled to score in the fourth quarter one didn’t do anything in the fourth quarter I know it’s been a criticism of Damonte sabonis offensively can he be a guy to go and get you a

Bucket when you need it those critics are continuing to be proved right by games like this by Massive moments like this did Sab have a bad game no he had a f good game his numbers are are solid but what matters is winning or losing that’s all that comes down to it we’re

Breaking down the context on this podcast because we go in depth here but what matters is did you win or did you lose in a got to have a game all that anybody remembers as much as we want to talk about the the the Kings series against the Golden State Warriors last

Year and we’ve talked about it a lot what the Kings did right what the Kings did wrong blah blah blah blah blah all that matters is the Warriors won the Kings lost in this game in this mini playoff series with the the The Mavericks All That Matters is the

Mavericks came into your building and swept you and you got blown out in one game and blew a 15-point lead in the other and blowing double digit leads on your home floor has been very common for the Kings this season it happened again at a time where you could not afford it

To and you did not get enough out of your top guys while the D Dallas Mavericks got damn near everything out of theirs that’s all that matters that’s all that matters the stars were not good enough for Sacramento and they shined bright for Dallas this Kings team they’re supposed to be an offensive

Juggernaut it’s what they were last year I understand statistically the rest of the league has caught up and I also understand that defensively this Kings team continues to look significantly better they held the Mavericks to 107 points tonight defensively they did what they needed to do to win this game and

Once again they managed to only score 103 once again their offense did not carry the weight that is expected of this offense expected of the offense that was statistically the greatest ever last season the strength of Sacramento has not been as strong as it needs to be while the weakness has become average

Too during this stretch maybe slightly above average which you can handle but what should be happening is when the Kings figured out something on the defensive end whether it was starting Keon Ellis or the three guard lineups or all the different things that we’ve talked about and broken down over the month of

March the kings were supposed to figure that out on the defensive end partner that with the great offense that we know this team has and use that to elevate themselves into that hopefully Elite status or a team that actually looks like they could contend instead the defense has improved the offense has

Dropped down and the Kings might be the exact same when it’s all said and done but unfortunately the exact same 48 wins which the Kings have 42 right now nine games left they can win six of them finish with 48 that’s that might be a playin spot

This year compared to a third seed last year again we can complain about the Western Conference oh my God the western conference is just so much better oh my God if only the Kings played out east no one feels sorry for you you know what

You play and you know the job that’s in front of you you have to do a better job at capitalizing on your home floor recognizing the moment taking advantage of that moment and playing to your strengths and once again the biggest strength of the Sacramento Kings let

Them down tonight on the offensive end now of course fouls played aart in this game again we’re not making excuses but we got to point out the realities of this game we’ll talk about the F fouls we’ll talk about the injury bug that is biting the Kings to shreds right now

Amazon.com loock onfire TV I want to make this perfectly clear I’m not making an excuse for the Sacramento Kings tonight because like I said in the introduction like I said in that first segment all that matters is win or loss context really be damned at this point

Massive game win it or lose it face the circumstances and over come them King’s fans are going to complain about the officiating tonight hell Mike Brown started his postgame press conference pointing out the officiating I think he has a right to do so but I I didn’t hear

Mike making an excuse out of it he pointed it out said what needed to be said and moved on to what the Kings did right and more importantly what the Kings did wrong and why they lost this game so Kings fans you can talk about the officiating you can use it as an

Excuse if you want to as a coping mechanism if you want to but in reality it doesn’t matter unfortunately it happened though a 33-2 free throw Advantage for Dallas some of you might be going Matt how can you say that does not matter Luca donic shot more free

Throws 14 than the Kings team combined 12 yes I understand I watched this game in person I saw the officiating it was not great it did look and feel as one-sided as it appeared to be in the stat column that being said I still think the Kings lost this game not

Because of the officiating but because of their offense and their shot making down the stretch that is what I’m continuing to focus on I’m not using this as an excuse but it needs to be pointed out because whether it speaks to the hypocrisy of the league of saying

That stars don’t get calls when LCA donic certainly gets calls that the Sacramento Kings aren’t getting on the other end of the floor whatever the case may be it’s important to point out and here’s what I want to focus on with this this is why the playin game terrifies me

As much of it as it does the playin tournament which the kings are more than likely going to be in now it terrifies me because in a one game playoff Anything Can Happen including large free throw discrepancies if the Kings play the Lakers or the Kings play the Warriors

Two teams that very easily could I mean even the Phoenix Suns who are in the seventh seed right now but the Lakers and the Warriors are two teams that should terrify Sacramento Kings fans because those are two teams loaded with star talent that knows how to get to the foul

Line so I bring up these free throws again not as an excuse for tonight and you might be mad at me for saying Matt you’re not you’re not talking about that the way you should you’re you’re not pointing it out and and blaming the game

On it as much as you should again that you can feel that way I’m just preaching how I’m preaching this is why the playing game should be such a avoiding the play game should be and should have been and I’m not saying the Kings didn’t take this

Lightly or I’m say I’m not saying the Kings took this game lightly and I’m not saying the Kings uh are just going oh well playing games fine like that’s not what I’m saying at all but from my perspective the Sacramento Kings are a team that would much rather grind their

Way through a best of seven series and hope to be an Underdog Story that defeats a Clippers or defeats a Pelicans or defeats a whoever it may be nuggets or thunder four times in a best of seven series rather than trying to top any team in a one game playoff because again

Fouls can play a massive factor and what’s also playing a massive factor for the Sacramento Kings right now is injuries there are so many people coming into this season that talked about the only reason the kings were in the p position that they were in last season

Is because of injury luck the kings were lucky to be injured and they can’t withstand that the Kings have dealt with injury issues all season long and now it’s getting to its worst Point yeah dearon Fox and damanda sabonis are playing and thank God for that knock on W because any either of

Them could go down at any given time and we know how much that would screw the Sacramento Kings we found out today officially Kevin herder is out for the remainder of the Season he’s going to have surgery on his uh on his shoulder so Kevin herder’s gone Trey lyes has

Been out for a long time or for a decent chunk of time we have no timetable on his return Sasha zenov has been out for a very long time and we’ve been waiting cuz it sounds like he’s close to returning and close to returning and every single game we learn an hour or

Two before game time that he’s out and he continues to be out not that I think Sasha venkov coming back would me is going to make that big of a difference I’m sorry Sasha venkov fans I’m just being honest with you I don’t know maybe

With Trey L out Sasha breaks his his way into the rotation a little bit but when Tre L returns which is hopefully sooner than later given the way the Kings have been playing and and and what they’ve been doing on the defensive end which is what Mike Brown has been asking of them

I have a hard time believing that that Sasha is going to return to a a a roster spot and rotation sorry I should say a rotational spot in minutes waiting for him but Sasha’s been out Trey has been out and then tonight in the first quarter you lose Malik monk Malik monk

Gets run over by Luca donic it’s not a dirty play it’s not it’s two guys colliding in the paint unfortunately Luca goes right into the the right knee of Malik monk Malik goes down immediately limps off the floor heads to the locker room we don’t see him back on

The bench we find out in the second quarter he’s done for the rest of the game you I mean Malik in so many ways is the lifeblood of the Sacramento Kings we talked about this he’s the Energizer Bunny he’s so essential not just to the second unit but to the energy that he

Brings this entire team energy that the Kings desperately needed in that second half when the Mavs were making their push he gives you another shot maker shot Creator someone who can change the game by himself in big moments which the kings of course certainly lack down the

Stretch on offense tonight we have no idea how long Malik is going to be out hopefully we get an update tomorrow that it was just a one one time thing it was just a bang knee maybe a bruise he’s fine he’ll be ready to go Sunday against

The Utah Jazz or he’ll be ready to go very very soon through the final nine games that the Kings have this season because the Kings need him if the Kings lose Malik monk for an extended period of time the play in is guaranteed I’m telling you playing is

Guaranteed that being said it’s NE next man up mentality right guys have to step up guys have to be ready I give credit to Kesler Edwards tonight Kesler Edwards came in in the second half made a big difference defensively made some big plays had the tough test of of guarding

Luca did as good of a job as he could also I think went three of three from three-point range tonight like stayed ready came in made an impact on both sides of the floor that’s exactly what you could ask for from a player who is sitting there waiting for unfortunately

An injury to make his impact Davon Mitchell as well I thought Davon Mitchell came in had some great moments played well trying to do the his best to make up for the energy of Malik being out Keon Ellis not there with the second unit because Keon Ellis had to step into

The starting lineup tonight and it will be a starter for the remainder of the season and into the playoffs and into the postseason for the Kings with Kevin herder being out Keon Ellis got off to a phenomenal start to this game knocking down threes left and right the kings in

In general were fired out of the gate like a they were fired out of Cannon to start this game on both ends they they forced like two or three Steals and turnovers from the the the the Mavericks in the first like four or five possessions of the game got out in

Transition were knocking down threes the Kings fast break points were excellent tonight they won the points in the paint battle so the Kings did a lot right to win this game their execution down the stretch offensively is what did it in so I don’t know I mean what can you say

About the injury bug right the kings are getting unlucky maybe the king like the last season’s injury luck is is coming back to bite them in the butt maybe I don’t know the circumstances are what they are they suck they absolutely suck and it’s very difficult to make up for the presence of

A Malik or the depth of Malik and Trey and Keon being in the second unit with Kevin being in the starting line it’s tough to make up for these guys right that’s why you have a team but again nobody cares right it matters it plays a

Part but you got to win basketball games that’s what matters at this point to the Sacramento Kings winning or losing and whether you’re completely healthy or not you got nine games left dearon fox said it tonight after the game we got nine games we have no time

To look in the rearview mirror right nine games left it’s go time whoever’s available to play play to the best of your ability whoever’s not available do your best to get back as soon as possible and I know I I promise you Malik is going to be chomping at the bit

To get back Trey L is probably been demanding a speedy recovery or or demanding just let me play through it I’m sure Sasha venkov has felt the same way as well these guys want to play they’re not kicking their feet up and going oh well I’m going to just sit here

And collect a paycheck while I watch my team sputter down the stretch like they all want to get back they all want to play win or lose Step Up that’s what matters at this point in the season it’s blunt it’s very maybe shortsighted it’s very um it doesn’t include the context that

Matters and and it kind of jumps to conclusions a little bit right but in reality that’s what the that’s the business that the Sacramento Kings are in right now win these games and unfortunately the two back-to-back biggest games of the season the kings came up with losses there was a the way

This game ended the way the Kings lost this game was brutal had to do with the Harrison Barnes turnover we’re going to talk about that play plus we’ll look at the remainder of the Kings season we’ll look at the remainder of the Mavericks season and truly break

Down how if at all the kings can catch the Mavericks and somehow finish with that six seed still we’ll talk about it here in just a second today’s episode of the Longton Kings podcast is also brought to you by better help sometimes we all need the opportunity to get

Something off of our chest whether it’s big or small certain things can really start to get to you it’s important to let that out especially to someone who’s unbiased on your life so today I want to say how I feel about mental health and I want to tell you a little bit about

Better help it all has to do with therapy right therapy is a word that thankfully is not as taboo today as maybe it was five or 10 years ago but maybe for some of you it might feel a little taboo or it might feel scary or intimidating or you might be like me

Before I started seeing therap uh my therapist 3 years ago or around 3 years ago my problems aren’t aren’t big enough I’m not going through anything major significant my I don’t need to to seek a therapist I should just toughen up and deal with it I know that that’s a big

Thing with men of course but there a big thing with all of us too so many of us might think hey we just got to carry our baggage ourselves and get through it and maybe we vent to our best friend or V vent to a family member and and and and

They share their opinion and you’re supposed to just move on it’s not good enough therapy is essential for everybody and it’s something I encourage everybody to give a try at least once because it can make such an unbelievable difference in your life take my word for it and if you’re

Considering giving therapy a try go the route of better help it’s entirely online it’s designed to be flexible to your schedule so that you can meet with that therapist get connected to the right therapist you can try different therapists and if you don’t necessarily connect with one uh you can change it to

Another one and betterhelp is not going to charge you or penalize you for that at all visit betterhelp.com lockon NBA to get 10% off of your first month that’s betterhelp hp.com lockon NBA we talked about the fourth quarter execution we talk about the Stars not being good enough there’s one play in

The fourth quarter that I want to talk about in particular and it’s the play where essentially the Kings lost kings were down by three Harrison Barnes gets a good look misses it offensive rebound comes out to Harrison Barnes Kings still have let’s say 14 seconds or so they

Still have time on the game clock to get another good shot so they’re trying to get the ball back to de’arra Fox Harrison’s trying to get the ball to the point guard Fox is either going to go hit the shot himself or or run up run

The offense and set up the offense and try and get another good look Harrison turns the moment he goes to throw the ball back to Dear who’s a couple feet behind him dearen decides to cut or move to a different area of the floor the ball goes over the half court line it’s

A back court violation it’s a turnover at the end of the game one of two turnovers that Harrison Barnes had in the fourth quarter and the Kings go on to essentially lose they don’t even get a sh another shot off they waste a second chance opportunity and they lose

The basketball game because of it a lot of people and I’m seeing it on social media I heard it in the arena immediately going Barnes what the hell man what are you doing and HB had a really really solid game tonight 20 points six rebounds two assists I

Thought Harris was really really good for the Kings especially in the first half and Harrison was really attacking Luca dones the Kings made it a made it a mission of theirs to go at Luca and Luca has been dealing with a knee injury he re-aggravated that knee a

Little bit tonight decided to play through it the kings were clearly going at him which is something they did not take advantage of and do enough in their first game on Tuesday night so Harrison was doing a really good job of that people are jumping on Harrison are frustrated Harrison Harrison what a

Terrible mistake say God you can’t do that blah blah blah I’m watching the play happen I’m shooting the play on my camera and I see dearn Fox do this Pat his chest and go hey my bad whether you want to blame Fox Blame Harrison it’s a it’s a it’s a mistake

That can’t happen right we all know this I’m talking about it because the Kings I think turned the ball over 11 times in this game period a lot of them unfortunately are good or a handful of them costly turnovers there towards the end that situation to me is not on any

One person like it’s it’s one of those unfortunate errors that cannot happen it absolutely cannot happen this is not an excuse for anybody you lost the game because of it it can not happen you need to be better you need to be sharper with that uh in a play like that down the

Stretch it’s very much a Kang’s moment but I’m not going to jump on Harrison Barnes and simply blame Harrison for it it is a play that you cannot blame on one person in particular I felt the need to point that out and talk about that cuz one I think I was

One of the few people because I was looking through my camera to see dearn take some of the ownership for that play I’m not blaming dearn solely either it was just a miscommunication moment again it cannot happen but it did happen and it’s not Harrison’s fault over any it is

Harrison’s fault it’s Fox’s fault too it’s the it’s the king’s fault period for putting themselves in a position where that that turnover lost them the game let’s go even a step further than that the it’s the king’s fault right now for being in a position where because

They lost these two crucial games to the Dallas Mavericks they’re more than likely going to be a playing team when they’ve lost many games this season whether it was the four games to bottom of the barrel teams like uh like Portland who got destroyed by the Miami Miami Heat tonight like Detroit like

Charlotte like Washington right those are four losses that you really wish you had back cu the standings look a whole lot different right now regardless of what what happens in these two games not to mention the blown big lead against Phoenix the blown uh lead against Milwaukee some of the blown double digit

Leads that the Kings have had in this building so far this season right it’s everybody’s fault this team has made bad costly mistakes time and time and time again over the course of this season and it’s something quite honestly we were hoping would be better this year

Compared to last year because now the Kings have more time together and more experience on a big playoff stage unfortunately came back to bite the Kings tonight so where are the Kings stand they’re in eighth place the eighth seed in the Western Conference the way

The play in works if the season was over like so many kings fans I’m seeing are acting like it is the Kings would play the Phoenix Suns who are the seventh seed in the first playin game now remember because remember seven plays six or Sorry Seven plays eight and nine

Plays 10 now let’s say the Kings play the Phoenix Suns that game would be in Phoenix Kings lose that game so the Suns secure the seventh seed now the Kings play the winner of The Warriors Lakers assuming those are the bottom two teams in in in ninth and 10th that game would

Be played here in Sacramento that is the scenario that I am dreading more than anyone or anything else and I’ve said that a lot this season I do not want anything to do with a single game against either the Warriors or the Lakers where if the Kings win they’re

The eighth seed if they lose their season is over that should terrify everybody so how do the kings avoid that well number one they could win the 78 game which probably will be against the Phoenix Suns kings are half a game back at the Phoenix Suns in the seventh spot right

Now they still can catch the Mavs in sixth they can it’s it’s tough but they can let’s let’s take a look at how that they can do that uh I think uh Tim Maxwell from the king’s Herald actually broke it down as well while I pulled

That up but the king schedule it’s not easy right on Sunday they have a game against the Utah Jazz a team that the Dallas Mavericks played and beat twice before coming here to Sacramento the Mavs have done a master they’re on a six-game win streak they’ve done a masterful masterful job during this

Stretch of winning the games they were supposed to win that’s something that the Kings can’t say the same they have to win that game against Utah they have to there’s no ifs ANS or butts about it why because after that they have the Clippers the Knicks the Celtics the Nets

The Thunder the Pelicans the Suns and the Blazers it is a really tough schedule to end the year meanwhile the Dallas Mavericks they have the Rockets the Warriors the Hawks the Warriors the Rockets then the Hornets and then they have the heat the Pistons and the Thunder that Thunder game is the

Last game of the season the Thunder are going to have a secured playoff spot at that point the Thunder probably aren’t going to be playing anybody in that game Tim Maxwell uh broke it down here I’m trying to find it um oh here it is so if

If Dallas finishes seven- two or better over these final nine games the Kings have no chance of catching the the the um six seed if they finish six and three the Kings have to go a perfect nine and0 if they finish five and four the Kings

Have to go eight- one four and five seven and two three and six six and three 2 and seven five and four 1 and eight four and five 0 and N three and six but essentially the Mavericks who are going to have a winning record over the remainder of this season they’re

Going to be at least five and four in my opinion over these final uh nine games that they have if that’s the case the Kings have to go at minimum eight and one over these final nine to catch the six seed it’s not impossible it’s very

Very very very tough the Kings can do it but whether that’s their motivation to catch the sixth seed or at this point if you end up in the seventh seed or the eight seed if you end up in a playin spot I don’t really care just avoid

Obviously nine and 10 so you at least have the security blanket of Lo losing one game because in nine or 10 you lose a game and you’re out in the seven eth spot you only have to win one game and you’re in so keep focused obviously on not dropping any more spots

Please but given the the injury circumstances giving everything that the kings are dealing with right now these nine games are yes about securing their spot but these nine games are also about correcting these mistakes gearing up and developing some sort of consistency heading into the postseason they have a

Lot of work to do and not very much time left so we’ll see how they see how they fair right all we can do as nervous as we are as disgusted as we are happy as we are whatever it may be all we can do

  1. Luka yelling “yall should have drafted me” at Vlade had to sting 😂. Jokes aside, the Kings are a classy organization and I think yall would beat the breaks off of Golen State. You historically own the Lakers. Pheonix is Pheonix. Yall indeed “are fine.”

  2. I can start liking the Kings again! Sabonis out here throwing elbows like Jon Jones, other than that, gg Kings.

  3. Sacramento Kings is a good team.
Before the trade deadline, Kings was the better team.
We all know now that isn't case anymore.

  4. I feel the Kings pain on Monk. Those injuries suck. Praying for a quick but healty return. Best of luck, Kings.

  5. Want the best for the kings honestly. Great team to root for and like to support yall with comments – whispers (let’s go Mavs tho)

  6. Disappointed with this loss, but it was a much better showing than the last game against the Mavs. The rest of the regular season is going to be a big test for us, but I believe in this Kings team. Let's keep our heads up!!
