[Slater] Donovan Mitchell remained non-committal on signing an extension with the Cavs after Dan Gilbert’s comments: “I got a lot of things to focus on outside of that right now… So, I’ll handle that when it comes… I’m gonna give you the same answer.” (Video via @CavsInsider_FN)

How many picks did the Cavs trade for him?

  2. the_greasy_one

He’s gotta preserve his trade value… there are about 12 players in the league who are “untradable” and he isn’t one of them.

I’m not ready to see another offseason where /r/heat would obsess over another player that isn’t going to the team again

Still don’t know why Dan made these comments. All it can do is make him look foolish.

I’d much rather see stars who aren’t sure they want to stay say things like this than talk about how they want to see their jerseys in the rafters and then start recruiting their buddies to go to a third team before they even hit FA

I have head canon that the Nets know Donovan wants to come to Brooklyn, it’s the only way them holding on to Bridges/CamJ/DFS makes any sense

Remember it’s not just Bridges that was receiving interest, somebody also offered picks for DFS

    Donovan Mitchell Pistons Legend incoming

I don’t know what they expect him to say. During the season is not typically when these decisions are made. Let him focus on his health and the playoff run. He will decide in the off-season most likely.

He’s going to Brooklyn. It all makes sense.

Mobley better learn how to dribble quick cause he gone

“I don’t wanna be here but not gonna rule out taking another supermax”

  12. If he remains intent on hitting FA, do Cavs fans want to trade him at the deadline or risk FA?

not a new take but yeah hed be really good on the knicks and yeah we can afford the trade. i think he’ll stay with the cavs if they manage to do well in the playoffs, though.

Signing with Knicks is old school. New school puts him in San Antonio. Who wouldn’t want to play with Wemby?

  15. spaceysht

It’s so funny seeing knicks fans think he wanted New York over miami

Hope he resigns, if not we have a problem but still players to build around (Garland Mobley Allen and okoro)

I’ve never felt more confident in someone being a future knick.

  18. BrolysFavoriteNephew

He’s almost a half of your offense, why would you piss him off? Teams are hunting PG, DM will be a high price target…..watch the Knicks get him

  19. I_Set_3_Alarms

I mean it’s fair he wants to wait for the playoffs. That’s really all that’s left that could affect his choice

  20. He’ll extend. No one gives up that kind of money. It’s always in the players’ best interest to create doubt to get the best deal.

Wasn’t Siakam just doing the same shit like 3 months ago?

  21. Dan Gilbert don’t alienate your best player challenge
