You can’t shoot 4/23 in a quarter and expect to beat any playoff team.

  2. Ciccone7

11pts in the 3rd was a disaster. Too much to overcome. Not the worst game. Defense was really solid. Held Bostom to 104. Gotta bounce back Monday – biggest game of the year.

  3. Briguy_fieri

That’s like 2 times this week we played 1 good quarter.

Can’t keep doing that against the leagues best.

  4. treybra3

Everyone complaining why no JV? Bro has 2 pts was 1/5 on mostly miss matches and 1 TOV. He was giving us nothing, same as the way Larry gave us nothing. Our C is clearly priority number one in the off season and will be the key to unlocking this teams potential

  5. _Wado3000

Humbling. Getting past the first round would be incredible experience for us.

  6. zion 17 FGA 53% meanwhile cj 23 FGA 44% LMAOOOO who does this dude think he is bro you are not the star 😭

  7. toastiestnuggets

really ugly game, as expected. the celtics are the 1 seed for a reason. they locked in on us during the 3rd, and of course we couldn’t hit a shot. on to the next.

  8. ToothEducational7795

Idc this was a winnable game with the right adjustments. It’s just frustrating, we got the talent to compete with the top teams but we just crumble under the pressure.

  9. Razor-Ramon-Sessions

Larry is not the answer Willie. How many teams need to expose that lineup? We couldn’t score with him in and there is no reason for him to play this many minutes against elite teams where we need to match up offensively.

And we cannot, under any circumstance, play Larry, Z, and Dyson together. That is not a lineup that has any chance against playoff caliber teams.

Edit: it really shouldn’t have to be said, but we definitely miss BI. I mean it’s cool that we can kind of hang with Boston without him but we have no chance of beating top tier talent without our best players. And even though this loss was frustrating I still think it’s a pretty good sign that we can battle back in some of these games without BI.

  10. Willie Green offensive masterclass in the second half.

  11. Skinnieguy

CJ taking 23 shots isn’t ideal. We need BI back.

  12. Our lack of bench scoring is going to be what does us in

  13. killerdescore

Another great 3rd quarter by this team

    my god ,that was awful

  14. dominicklala1287

Celtics are a really good team, and proved again why they’ve basically locked in the 1 seed already. Move on and win these next two, the most important games of the year

  15. Wish everyone had CJ’s confidence when they’re open from 3.

  16. Aggravating-Lake-717

That third quarter, lost the game right there

I thought fourth quarter was much better and down the stretch execution was good

Zion was much more aggressive in the fourth, and as a result, we almost came back

  17. Mesame121489

The offense sucked. I hate watching other teams create mismatches and hunting them then watch us not do the same thing. Z fuck the offense and just go get the ball. Him and BI aren’t selfish enough sometimes. Also they ran the same play the entire 4th and it worked because we played the same defense, it was either a mismatch or a double, fight through that shit and stay on your man and not get put in rotation early in the shot clock. JV needs more minutes, can take him out for defensive purposes and have the defense still be shit. If that’s the case put him back in. Lastly the team was afraid to shoot the fucking ball which led to them selling out on Z. Make them guard you. Get ready for Monday and somebody in here needs to go donate their knee to BI.

  18. My ticket package must be 2-18. Fucking maddening.

All I want is to wipe me down.

  19. Ashamed-Lime3594

Really missed BI today. Needed a playmaker and spark guy in the 3rd and couldn’t fill that gap. Not a good result, but take care of business the next couple games especially and we’ll be ok

  20. Minimum-Fan-9330

Coaching disparity was mind numbing to watch this game, and it’s only going to get uglier and more apparent come playoff time when opposing staffs have a whole series to devote full attention to this team solely.

  21. We had ‘em in the first 99% of the first half, guys!

  22. ChocolateTemporary72

Willie Green is the greatest coach in the nba. Good to see Dyson still looking petrified every time he gets the ball

  23. SpaceAfricanJesus

Fun game to start and even though it seemed like it was a blowout at times I still think it was a winnable game but not with Zion being shaken up and WG as the coach.

To start off: Zion started 5-6FG, 2-3FT 0 TOVs in the first 16 ish minutes of the game. Then he got whatever “injury” that AD called out and then went 1-7FG , missed 4 FTs in a row, had 4 TOVs. He picked it up in the 4thQ and at least competed, 10 points on 4FGA and 7FTA but it was too late. If he makes all 14 of his FTs the game would’ve been much closer but there were still a lot of problems. Credit to him I thought defensively he held is ground especially in the 2ndQ he made some nice plays.

JVs minutes were limited and even when he played he went 1-5 from the floor. Larry did usual Larry things and bog down the offense. Dyson, who I can’t really blame cause he’s coming off an injury but he bogged down the offense. The 3rd quarter with 11 points is horrendous but before that, first 3 minutes of the 2ndQ when Zion sat down the Pels scored 0 points. Pels matched the Celtics pretty well from 3 but couldn’t convert at the paint to the same degree. Trey was 0-4 from 2. Herb was 2-6 from 2. Frustrating game.

Don’t know why the starters were playing so late but especially for Zion he played 40 minutes somehow. Hopefully he just had a cramp and he’s his normal self for the Suns.

  24. GatorEggs-

Just hope Zion is okay. Looked noticeably a step slower after whatever happened with Horford. Another loss in the column definitely doesn’t feel good but the Celtics have the best record in the league for a reason. Idk if it sounded like I was discrediting the Celtics in the game thread by saying it would’ve been a different game but by different I just meant that it would have stayed more competitive and not been as bogged down on offense from our side.

  25. NikoRavage

I really don’t understand the CJ criticism. He had it going in the first half and he’s clearly our 2nd best player with BI out. Mfs passing up open shots left and right, somebody gotta shoot them bitches

  26. LAlostcajun

Willie didn’t adjust and allowed the Celtics to take advantage of CJ’s horrible defense

  27. hotdogflavoredblunt

Well I know who I want to have traded this off-season

  28. LennonWaK

We got some real low IQ bb heads in these threads in a loss. Real low.

  29. rockmusic83

Dyson was out there playing offense like Ben Simmons.
