Keep saying the Math’s defense needs to heat up the maps have a microwave defense they do yeah they heat up as the game goes on it’s because they play physical defense that wears on you as the game goes on and then it is it is like it’s the same thing as like a

Was it felt late it felt like every open shot the Kings got was because Luca was chasing the play or because somebody was open because Luca and Gafford or Luca and Lively or Luca and whoever were just like staring out at the guy going weren’t you supposed to take him and

Luka was like yeah my knee hurts not an excuse for not telling me that I need to go out there uh but the defense that that felt frustrating but the Mavs they picked it up they warmed up got into the game and man like this team is just this

Is a completely different team this is a good defensive team now because you can’t look at you can’t even look at the season like what are they for the season they were like 20th recently you can’t look at that anymore you can’t look at this like the SE there there’s a

Completely different team than they were before they’re 19 they’re up to 19th now 116 points per on possessions we’ll take for the season that number doesn’t matter because I know but I’m saying if you said before the season they’ be the 19 best defense you say okay

Deal we’ll take it great Williams been clamping up huh but if you go since February 5th like right around when the trades happen and the Mavs started winning these games they’re seventh and that and that number is maybe that number is even misleading they’re better than that well

I mean that number is is bogged down by that really which is now just a complete it feels like a complete total anomaly like that five game stretch where they were the worst defense in the league again was like what what am I I told yes we came on here like yeah kids

Done here we go again that feel like that was three years ago it does and I’ll admit the Mavs have fixed all the things that I was frustrated about I should have couched it and said if unless they changed these things then kid should be

Both great at blocking shots and contesting shots but then it’s drick Jones Junior’s maybe you know in the Gap and helping and he’s a long ly Defender PJ Washington’s helping he’s a long lengthy Defender Luca is a long lengthy Defender yeah so now all of a sudden you

Have all these hands and all these guys and it’s you know it’s it’s a completely different situation it completely is and it’s so it’s so different than what we’ve seen in the past so you’ve got to recalibrate what what you think this team is even when they weren’t hitting their threes

That that didn’t even bother me that much I was like all right well we just got to learn a different way for this Mavs team to win because remember this Mavs team is six and one they shoot under 30 32% from three that’s crazy that’s the craziest about all this they

Didn’t they didn’t they shot 40 they ended up shooting 42% in this game which is wild because of how well they shot late in the game but their three-point shooting they hit him in the right spots in the right moments in this game and that was absolutely massive but yeah the

Two different halves from like a PJ Washington and some of the other players uh just really stood out and how they they felt like they warmed up into the game and give the Mavs a ton of credit for taking the blow from the from the beginning the kings came out with so

Much energy so much force so much determination they went up what 14 to 27 like a real early like 13-point lead you go man just Fe oh 70 70 to start and then it you start with two live ball turnovers those are your first two possessions then uh then Luca falls down

And falls on monk monk is out for the game tough that that was really that was a real tough one for the Kings too Kevin herder out for the season now M monk they were playing Kessler Edwards who actually played pretty well for them hit three threes yeah

But that really tough one for them they just keep the kings are just falling falling left and right yeah the mon injur is brutal and then you get a little you get a little bit of a run at the end here and man you like the Mavs

Just stuck with it and stuck with it and like kept clawing back and then eventually uh oh second half so or second be right before the second half lukic goes down 36 seconds left in the second quarter he’s holding his back of his right knee and then he goes out then

He takes a drive and with with it what did you see kids quote Yeah that he didn’t see that he was limping he like oh that’s just how he walks at least he didn’t say like a [ __ ] walker uh but but then Luca goes into halftime and he’s limping into the into

The locker room and Matt George says that he saw him kick a chair with his left his left leg on the on the way in and there’s a video out there he said it was with his left leg so we’re we’re we’re glad that it was that but the left

Leg is the one that he was questionable with the Killy soreness before this I mean it was it was just one of those and you you got to give luuka credit for fighting oh yeah for coming back for you know he he didn’t have the greatest shooting game at all second half what

Was he second half he was three of seven imagine a game in the second half where luuka Only Hits three shots in the map 13 points though on seven shots we’ll gladly take that he got to the free throw line and he you know he only

Missed the won late in the second half uh got six assists but Luca fought in this game for sure man he’s been a warrior lately cuz I mean that’s this is a huge I think this is huge for his MVP argument like if I’m making propaganda

Which I will be very shortly uh the I’m pushing these two games is dude this guy if you watch that game Luca to kids point he usually does you know he hobbles around he does the classic like Miss a shot just like he didn’t want to say LCA LCA boooo that’s what I’ve

Called them but he he’s like it was probably a LCA but I think last game it’s clear that he’s maybe a little bit more hurt than he usually would be and he goes out last game drops 26 points in the first half only two in the second

Half they didn’t need him he his shot making in the first half of the Last Kings game is what allowed the Mavericks to be in the position they were in at halftime yeah and then tonight uh I mean he put on a playmaking clinic like he

Had was it 12 assists could have easily had more they found the open shooter each time and this offense is just playing so well that it’s not just it feels like in the past it was Luca was if Luca was passing to it was to shoot like the entire offense was Luca you’re

Going to either generate a shot for yourself or it’s going to be a kick out to the to a shooter and that’s going to be the immediate shot the ball just moves so much more on this team now it feels like where guys are getting into

The paint and then we’re kicking out and then that guy’s getting into the paint and then he’s kicking out and then that guy’s getting to the paint LCA had a catch and shoot three in this game off of a Kyrie pass that was just beautiful like yeah I mean that one with they

Swung the ball like all the way around the perimeter he is at the top of the key that was a great play but yeah just think about time of possession with LCA it’s got to be way I hav looked it up lately but it’s got to be way less with

This team cuz even the the like the game winning play to exm Luca got doubled super hard right at half court he has to throw the ball to PJ Washington then PJ Washington takes a dribble makes a decision kicks it over to exm and it’s like he’s making the play and not Luca

They’re trying to get the ball out of Luca’s hands and other guys can make plays Kyrie 14 points in the fourth quarter by the way they just updated they took away a two from him did they really did we see this stat this this this site that I used does

That automatically does the like quarters is wrong every once in a while it’s wrong on some stuff and then it updates I mean Kyrie was unbelievable we he said this last when he hits that that transition pull up three and that goes he hit one of those early in the fourth

Quarter when the MS I think were still down by like six or or nine or something like that he hit it and it was like uh oh like when he’s making that pull up three in transition yeah it is like a oh God like what what’s about to happen

Like that that’s like one of the toughest shots you can shoot and he’s making that and it’s just like uh oh something K by the way missed one shot in the fourth quarter the free throw one of the free throws on on when he got fouled from three terrible foul

The Kings played some really bad basketball down the stretch of this game can we talk about Harrison Barnes for a second dude that was unthinkably bad Harrison Barnes scores 11 points in the first quarter and we were like oh man like Harrison Barnes really stepping

Up but good for him love HB like you know his time in Dallas and all that great great guy all that um um really wanted to go to Sacramento and man he had some brutal plays in the in the second half and including that turnover uh he miss he

Misses a three Sacramento gets the offensive rebound and then he throws the he throws the ball back to Fox and fox isn’t looking and so the ball goes in the back court with then eight seconds left and that basically sealed the game at that point uh he also at the 3 minute

And 34 second Mark he had a bad pass and PJ got the steel and X him through up to Gafford Mavs took the lead 10198 he he Harrison Martins had some awful plays at the end of this game and I don’t know I think there there’s a possibility that

Like that Cuban is still like paying him in some way it’s possible like we’re gonna trade for you in the off season like you can be a part of the you can be part of the banner night if you want listen we’re gonna we’re gonna lose we’re gonna lose

Crazy yeah but I mean it was like it like looked like it was their game plan though I I don’t know how much we can bash him because it was literally like you said earlier all right Harrison Luke is gonna be on you you’re G to spin the

Bulk of this game shooting you’re going to be driving to the rim and uh it worked at first and then it did not it did not work I felt like he was like I don’t know baiting for fouls quite a lot too a lot of his drives are really out

Of control the bad pass one at 3 3:30 left in the fourth quarter he they drove into the lane and then he was like in a shot motion and then jump spun like jump spun past in midair because he couldn’t get the shot off and you’re like what

Are what was what was your attention you’re going to take a a driving running jumper like well the map is adjusted because he had I think we talked about this he has a sneaky good slow step like I’ve always thought that like when he gets to that spot he’s he’s pretty tful

Bleeding through his knee pad they see blood and in the NBA you know because because of the Magic Johnson stuff if you see blood you immediately have to go to the bench and get it like like covered up and taped up and stuff and stop the bleeding like that’s part of

The thing is to stop the bleeding they just so he’s got it he’s it’s bleeding through his knee pad and there’s like there’s like a a they didn’t really take a real time out he walks over the bench and they just tape over the knee pad and

Then they just he just walks back out well I didn’t know you had to uh you had to I guess now that I’m thinking about it I I do remember like certain games they would stop play because there would be blood on a jersey and they you got

You got to stop immediately and you got to stop those tide pins they had those little tide pins on it’s like this it well it’s like this do that just like hardens real quick it’s like a it’s like a glue honestly and they glue like like

They glue you up you can get stains out with those so I think I’m going to to a dinner or something no I’m saying it makes stains well I’m saying like there’s like blood on a on a jersey and they stop play to like get it off the
