Many ways to look at this game. We have outscored them by +8pts since their 9/12 start from 3 in the first quarter. The small ball death lineup continues to look good even without BI – would be interested to see way more of that these last games.

Ultimately very disappointed in the outcome tonight. We just made our path one step tougher than it needed to be. Zion, Larry, and JV got their ass kicked on the boards tonight – need to be better there.

Need to get rid of CJ and JV next year

  3. sonics_fan

We obviously played like crap, but damn somebody in Secaucus fucking hates us. How does every fucking review go against us?

  4. amadea_saoirse

CJ with 40 minutes, highest in the team, only to produce 6-17 shooting. And look at that he’s the only below 50% shooting performance among the starters. Also, Willie letting CJ run the 4Q first seven minutes without Trey and/or Zion did not give us the chance to complete a comeback.

I’m not super mad at this game. DBook was unstoppable and we came out flat but good effort down the stretch.

We can’t continue to put ourselves in this position for the playoffs tho. We control our own destiny for the better and for worse

Giving up 74 points in the first half isn’t winning basketball but we showed promise in the second half hopefully we can bounce back against the magic and spurs so we can maintain 5th or 6th seed.

Got killed on the boards yet again. Whether it was Jonas or Larry, Nurkic was killing us on the glass. And Booker got every shot he wanted, and to no one’s surprise, he ends his slump by dropping 50. Rebounding and interior defense is the number one concern going forward IMO.

Willie just needs to get the ball out of Bookers hands and be willing to let others beat them. When a guy starts the 1st Q with 25+, you are gonna most likely lose that game.

Orlando is as close to a must win as possible and you hope others take care of Suns

  9. Yeetacus200

At least Zion is getting calls, over 12 fta per game in the last 3 games.

  10. Daveoos77

0-19 when trailing going into the 4th. Seems like a crazy stat for a team with 40+wins

  11. Right back down to earth we go. Absolutely slapped by this sorry ass Suns team.

  12. workwork187

There is a small but significant chance this ends with two heartbreaking losses in the play in and we go early. I’m preparing myself for that scenario.

Even if the worst does happen, it’s been a really fun and exciting year. There have been, and will be in the future, plenty of years when the team just isn’t any good and it’s never that exciting. So whatever happens, I’ve had a great time watching the Pels this year.

  13. Willie needs to escalate when he gets hosed on these replay calls. Should have told someone to take a foul and then challenged it and screamed “that’s marginal contact” repeatedly until they ejected him

  14. cheifking

At this point, do we even want home court advantage? home record has been crap this season

  15. Infinite_Response113

We cut it within 7 points with plenty time in the fourth…if we had BI this game this is a W, he more than makes up for that gap.

This is the second game (after OKC), where I feel if we had BI we would have won. That would put us in the 4th seed. It’s just crazy how bad injury luck this team gets.

  16. maejor_ced

Stop d sucking CJ every time he has one good game every 2 weeks… guy does more harm then good when it’s time to rely on him

  17. Someone on this roster must’ve stole one of Booker’s mistresses that’s the only way I can rationalize these performances

  18. SpaceAfricanJesus

Well that was a game, I guess.

I’m just happy I got 2 T-shirts out of it.

  19. Nuhaykeed

We’re gonna get our asses handed to us in the playoffs…

  20. Savings-Bird-1226

    2 things

First, we figured out how to guard the Suns. We have to go small and send bodies at Booker.

Secondly, the NBA has passed JV and Nance by. They can play small minutes but neither guy should ever get 25 mins frequently on a serious contender.

  21. silliputti0907

I told myself if Ingram comes back healthy, i wouldn’t care about seeding. It sucks, but we are playing bad odds

  22. Some_Championship506

Booker is averaging 54 ppg his last 3 games vs NOLA lmfao

  23. mrrick400

Didn’t watch the game, but how did Booker go off with Herb guarding him? Or was herb on KD?

  24. Taker597

Pelicans are 21-16 at home facing a historic price hike on season tickets simply because they are a winning team for the 1st time in 6 years

This organization is gross and constantly sabotage while doing everything they can to suck as much short term cash instead of building long term relationships with fans.

  25. GatorEggs-

Must win game and our two centers (one is 6’7” btw) just got royally clowned off of the floor by Jusuf Nurkic and Drew Eubanks. In a Conference that has stars like Jokic, Aaron Gordon, KAT, Gobert, AD, Chet, Sabobis (tho Jonas has matched up well against him in our matchups vs the kings) and also young energy guys like gafford and lively for the mavs, that’s just not a good sign. Hell even Zubac is a scary matchup right now and he’s the clippers 5th/6th option. We desperately need BI back so he can switch onto the opposing teams 5 because without that we give up easy drop off dunks or easy offensive rebounds and put backs. Never had championship expectations for this year but we need to make the playoffs and get some experience under the young core and that is in serious jeopardy if we can’t get back on track within these last 7 games. I won’t even get into the pathetic lack of effort to start the game tonight (that’s a lie, I will) but it’s not just that the suns couldn’t miss, the team was lazy in rotations / help defense and left Allen, Kd and Book open at the 3 point line multiple times in the first half, we can’t just expect them to miss open shots. Credit to the suns for a great scheme but it just looked like the energy was never there in the first half when this was a must win game to create separation from the play in. But what do I know I’m just a nerd typing a paragraph about a basketball team when basketball wasn’t even the sport I played growing up

  26. Odd-Dance-5371

Hope you guys are ready to be in 7th seed soon 🫵🏼🫵🏼

  27. Aggravating-Lake-717

Tough loss but at least Zion dominated in the second half

    Always good to see

  28. Select-Hearing-9298

We can’t defend home court. What a pathetic effort out of the tunnel. We are a better road team than home – no other team in the league like that.

  29. Ill-Permission-728

Three straight 50s on your head since Zions windmill 💀
