When Darius Garland is off the floor, the Cavs suffer a -14.3 swing since the ASB
I’m just the messenger. While I can clearly observe his struggles, I can also acknowledge that advocating for him to be benched is tinfoil hat nonsense.
I think DG can be our PG for the future, even with Spida. I’m ok with running this same roster on next season, but with a completely different coaching staff, from top to bottom

I think it’s obvious, it’s time to unleash the ultimate line up:
Darius is our future along with Mobley both are still young we have to continue to let their games grow they have to be able to make mistakes and learn you all loved DG a season or 2 ago now since we have Don yall switch up that quick? If we didn’t have Don yall would still be yelling “that’s my PG” instead of bench/trade him. Look at OKC to see how you let your young players develop as a group.

This data makes plenty of sense: With Mitchell not right, Garland’s skill set is precious. Even when struggling. You don’t have another ball handler and distance shooter, so things really go kaput with him out. The Cavs seem to know this as they’ve been playing Garland heavy minutes despite him struggling.
Just to be clear: I am not claiming Darius is playing well. I did find it interesting however and do think calls to bench him and comments like “sorry he’s not an nba player” are ludicrous and should be exposed as such. This data certainly refutes that plan of action. There’s plenty of room for nuance. But the Cavs best option remains to just hope he gets it together.

So since the asb the only player with a positive net rating on or off the court is LeVert?

DG-Mobley-Allen-Mitchell (if he extends) are the Cavs core. I don’t care what direction they go with the coaching staff or roster, but those 4 need to stay. Run it back or retool. Either way I think we’re in a good place.

So you’re telling me a team post all star break with no Strus, no Wade, and even LeVert most games is WORSE without Garland????? No way.
We didn’t have half the players that play meaningful minutes durning this stretch so this data is legit worthless.

– Mitchell
– Jones
– Thompson
– Porter
– Morris Sr.
