Let Him Cook: Onuralp Bitim, Henri Drell, & Adama Sanogo cook their favorite food | Chicago Bulls

Hi, my name is Onuralp Bitim. I’m from Turkey. Hello, my name is Henri Drell. I’m from Estonia. My name is Adama Sanogo and I’m from Mali. Today we all made dishes and I’m going to start with Turkish salad that’s called Piyaz. It’s a very common Turkish salad.

I think it’s going to be fun. Try not to cry. Okay. Yes. That’s not half. It looks half. What do you guys eat in Turkey though? We have a lot of traditional foods. They’re like coming from Ottoman Empire. When I was growing up, my mom, she cooked some unbelievable Turkish food.

We love garlic. We love onions. It’s actually a very common thing in Turkish food. My mom is going to cry when she watches this. Do you like eating salad? You can add anything in salads, whatever you want. So yeah, I love definitely salad. Do you want to smell? Good.

I love tomato. Some greens. You look like a pro. I am. And then our main ingredient, beans that we call Piyaz. Yes. Okay. So I’ll be making shrimp carbonara. I love pasta. So that’s why I chose the dish. Yeah. Let’s get to it. Garlic. I love shrimp. Smells really good.

Yeah, it does smell good. My career took me to Germany, Estonia, obviously, I’m from there. And Italy. I can eat pasta from breakfast to lunch and to dinner. I think Italian food is the best food in the world. And now I’m about to start making the sauce. Good.

So Henri, are you cooking on your own? Not really, you know. Okay, but you have potential, I think, after this video you might start. Just don’t eat this as a breakfast and you will be okay. I’ll let OB add the cheese. Thank you. Thank you. Nice. Do the salt. Salt back that thing.

Yeah. Yes. Is that okay, Chef? Yes, that’s okay. Thank you. Thank you very much. Say it in Turkish. Teşekkürler Here we go. Spicy. Do you like spice? Yeah, it looks actually good. It looks good. Smells good. My favorite dish. Nice. The food I want to make is a dessert in Africa, in Mali.

So basically you put everything in a blender, like that. Close the blender and make sure you close it, OB. Safety first. Yeah. Turn it on. You will love it, you know. And I think it’s good now. So we need the coconut like we said.

So we are going to put it on the plate. Like that. Then you’re going to grab some of this. Put it on your hand. This is what we eat in Africa. It’s good. Do you guys want to try making one? Yes, chef. Come on. Look, add some coconut. And then add some coconut.

That looks better than mine. Good job. You taught me. Let’s see, Chef from Estonia. What’s it called? It’s called coconut date balls. So this is my coconut date ball. It looks good. It looks good. I can’t wait to taste it.

You just saw us cooking our cultural foods and we’re going to try them now. Stay tuned for the next video.
