The worst defensive games we had on this road trip was against Memphis (gave up 124, no AD) and the Wizards (120). Bucks “only” scored 124 in two OT’s, and we held the Pacers down to 109. Offense lost us that game, but if there was ever a scheduled loss, it was that one.

I swear every game we’re winning and once garbage time rolls around our bench reduces the lead and can’t extend it

Kind of a dumb stat considering how easy the competition was. Stuff like ORtg and Drtg makes sense to compare across teams over full seasons because everyone ends up playing fairly equivalent schedules but if you do it over 6 game samples it’s gonna tell you more about a team’s schedule than it will about their level of play.

Austin has been back to being serviceable on defense and has been attacking the boards well, which has made our starting backcourt seem a little more plausible again

Honestly don’t need to be elite defensively if we’re this good offensively. Being middle of the pack defensively, but a top 3 offense is enough lol especially as we’re missing most of our defensive players.

AD is on the roster, which is immediately going to help their defense.
Now that some of the defensive specialists are coming back and Rui has started to crash the boards, there is no reason this cannot be a Top 10 offensive and defensive team.

Austin has been getting a LOT better on defence recently, I love it. He takes the criticism and uses it to up his game, that’s the type of player I want on the team 💪

Yeah other team’s fans are trying to discredit our run by saying it’s against bad teams, but every team has to play bad teams sometimes and don’t always win (hello Bucks). NBA players are such that any given night some rando can go off for 50pts. We’re peaking at the right time

Austin has improved his defensive energy and rebounding. Rui has improved his rebounding. Dlo is still a weak isolation defender but he has high defensive IQ and gets big time steals/blocks

The defence has looked better fkat out . Guys are making plays. Stikk want vsndo back cos some matchups are a nightmare if we don’t have him somewhat healthy
