Nick has mentioned it before and I totally agree- Kidd has got to stop playing the Kyrie/ Hardy/ THJ lineup. I know people were out so their options were limited but that lineup had a 16pt lead in the first and in 3:30mins they gave up a 12-0 run and it was down to 4pts. Hopefully the team is full strength going into the playoffs bc that lineup is a disaster

It’s looking more and more like Denver is going to end up 1st seed. I think the Mavs should beat the Rockets so make sure they have the tiebreaker on the Pels (which means they have it on suns, Pels, and kings) to make sure they can’t fall to 7th. Then start restarting people to drop to 6th to play OKC and avoid the Clippers and Denver until the WFC.

Despite how ugly parts of this game looked offensively for the Mavs not to mention all those turnovers. I still think this was a great game for the guys. PJ has been a great defender since he arrived, but now his offense looks like it's turning the corner. I think this helps Luka trust his team more and gives everyone on the team more confidence in themselves. I know it's almost cliche at this point to say, but this is not a game we would win without Luka before the trade deadline. For the most part this team just feels different, different energy, different looks, more fun to watch honestly. Now I'm torn between getting a new black City edition jersey for Kyrie, Gafford, Lively or Washington. I'm hopeful that Gafford and Washington stick around in the off-season/ don't get traded. I really like the elements they bring to the team
I believe this team finally has lost the love for Powell. We need production in the offseason and it is time for him to go. Where the heck is Josh Green????
Kudos to Gafford for matching Draymond's physicality. His passing has improved so much since he got here. Even THj has improved his decision making in the last few games.

Tim shot 40% from the floor and 14% from the 3 13-3-3. Hardy shot 50 and 40% from floor and 3 with 5-2-3. Why are we not giving Tim’s minutes to hardy? Tim doesn’t seem to be coming out this slump and it’s the worst slump in his mavs tenure it feels like. Why are we not leading him out to the pasture as we develop hardy in his place? Hardy literally does everything Tim does and more. I don’t get it
Mavs may have rested Luka because the rockets game was going to be important for the tiebreaker with the pelicans, BUT that was assuming the pels beat the spurs last night… which they did not. So mavs have the tiebreaker over the pels, and the rockets game is not important anymore other than just getting a W.
I hope Mavs make a deep playoff run thus year, and Luka wins mvp next year. STARTING the season with this team? Cant wait!

Allow me to be a bit conspiracy pilled real quick but I know Nick likes to get into the leadership and mental part of the game a bit and this game had an interesting moment. Right before half time when Tim just dribbled around and took an aweful 3 that got blocked at the buzzer Kyrie was visibly angry and went at him. Now I obviously don’t know if that had an impact at the end of this game but there is something to be said about a quieter player getting heated that will ring a little bit more true and maybe get through to someone.
Either way I think it was a huge leadership moment from Kyrie.
The mavs have the best backcourt in the NBA and one of the most efficient Centers in the league. That formula equals success in the post season
