Batum 9 points, but arguably some of the most important ones that beat us in the end.

  2. Completely gassed at the end. Great game though

Annoying we still have the same issues with getting our superstar the ball in crunch time. Some of these dudes have to understand how this shit works

Desperately need better shooting around Vic, he can never get comfortable in the post when the whole defense is collapsing

  3. Classic_Average_2563

    Wtf was Tre Jones tonight?

Constantly missed key shots at the rim and was lost on defense as usual.

  4. If you wanna know what we really should do this offseason, look no further than Jalen Brunson, Maxey and Trae Young having career nights against this team.

  5. Empty-Mall-1636

Maxey having to play 50+ minutes in a game vs the Spurs is nasty work LMAO

  6. Positive_Ad1947

We really need a point guard and defensive guards as well. Not mad about the loss.

  7. CStradale

Not bad at all, just didn’t have anything left. Nice to see Batum coaching Wemby at the end there. Could’ve been a Spur

  8. Empty-Mall-1636

Can’t wait for Batum’s bum ass to retire

  9. DriveForFive219

Welp earlier in the year that wouldn’t have even gone to ot so whatever. Gg boys

  10. SupremeBall27

All of a sudden I completely understand why Vic threw up that 3 earlier. Poor guy knew he was going to be abandoned down the stretch and had to get his shots while he could.

  11. Ok-Topic-6095

Tough game to drop. Tre and some of the other guys were feeling themselves too much

  12. Empty-Mall-1636

Refs inability to do there jobs correctly cost us this game. So many missed calls and terrible calls that helped the Sixers.

  13. generational_lover69

I had fun watching this game, the losses don’t feel like crap anymore like early in the season.

Even if the roster stayed exactly the same Wemby is carrying us to 30 wins next year

  14. DrKepret

As much as I want to blame one guy, it was a collective choke in the last 2 mins

  15. miragen125

This game is a perfect example of why I don’t usually watch the games but only the highlights!!!

    Fuck this

  16. SunKing210

Spurs lack of experience and obviously even a decent ball handler down the stretch really cost them the W.

I cringe so bad whenever I see defenders get in Tre’s space cause it looks like he’s gonna turn it over or make a bad pass.

Here’s hoping they can address those issues in the off season…

  17. NorthConsequence4737

Magic fan here, I feel like Tre Jones should of gotten free throws during that one drive near the end right before the sixers went on that big run to end the game. Is it just me? I felt like that sixers run never would of happened if tre got that call for free throws

  18. No_Date1271

Tre Jones showing why his ceiling is that of a bench pg. Tunnel visioned

  19. Inner_Emu4716

Overall great effort, sucks we couldn’t get the win. Another monster Wemby game, with good scoring performances from Julian and branham. Wemby has to get the ball more in overtime. Part of it was him not getting open enough due to his fatigue, and part of it was our guys not making enough of an effort. All good tho, we’re young

  20. HogsheadOfRealFire

Disappointing loss, but this has looked like a flat out good team recently, even without Sochan and Vassell. I’m trying to remain carefully optimistic, but I truly do believe we have the ability to take a HUGE leap next year

  21. MikeyBastard1

Well that was a fun game. Turnovers absolutely killed us, outside of turnovers not a terrible game. Defensively we held them to 45% shooting and 30% from three. Refs were abysmal this entire game.

Also I demand a league investigation into clear referee bias against Zach Collins. Man breaths and gets called for a foul.

    Regardless onto the next!

  22. LALester

3rd most turnovers this season by a team with 25. vic leading the way with 9 and tre closely followed behind with 5. cant beat anybody turning the ball over that much

  23. adelphotes

    On track for 23-59

Tough loss in 2OT, love the shot by Julian at the end of regulation.

    Go Spurs Go!

  24. Charleshunterxhunter

Sixers genuinely have the worst announcers in the league all they did was complain on every call and gave no good analysis ffs

  25. A_Curious_Cockroach

Victor should get some mvp votes because without him this is easily the worst basketball team of all time.

I want a legit explanation in what our scouts and Wright saw in Branhim and Wessley because neither of these guys have nba guard skills, rarely make a good play, and when they do play “well” it’s because nobody guards them.

Could you imagine this team with fucking Scoot running point for us, as bad as he has been this year.

Just the mere thought of it is terrifying. Let me go hold my kids and tell them I love them.

Keldon needs to be shut down. We need him good and healthy for that off season trade.

  26. ImpressiveSugar9287

Kind of needed this win to not have a worst record than last season. Not looking like that’s going to happen now. Pop should’ve challenged the goaltending call early in the game. Could’ve avoided both OT’s

  27. betmaster64

We consistently lack BBiq. We barely got Wemby the ball in OT. When Wemby got the ball, we should’ve tried to get him off Batum asap. Look at what Sixers are doing. Every time they hunt for better matchup for Maxey and most of the time we just switched with little effort. When we tried to help on Maxey’s drives, help was too late. We jack up dumb shots in ot. Take a look at what shots Sixers were taking. I don’t think there was one bad shot they took.

I get it, we’re a young bad team and we’ll make mistakes, but we can’t make same mistakes over and over, same thing happened against Knicks with Brunson except we helped there on time when we did help. So it doesn’t seem like we learned anything from that.

  28. Designer-Action3573

Too many TOs. Vic had 9 by himself. Felt they settled too much on 3s.. could be coz of fatigue

  29. Thehelloman0

Mamu clearly works well with Wemby on offense. It’s odd how he basically never got any run until he had to because of injuries

  30. blue-anon

It might behoove the Spurs to watch some film on how South Carolina’s women’s team has used Kamilla Cardoso this season. I’m not even joking. For the inside part of Wemby’s game and the ‘playing through the big’ part, it’s a pretty good blueprint. Earlier in the season, Dawn Staley was masterful at working through the struggles of getting the ball to her inside , getting players to not crowd the lane when she’s in there, and making players aware of her rebounding position before taking tough shots. The result has been a beautiful playing style.

  31. InsertDev

Turnovers and defense, specifically any perimeter penetration cost the Spurs the game.

They couldn’t guard Maxey without fouling and gave up too many easy shots in key moments.

Subbing out Mamu was a tough move but I understand it because he was getting hunted by Maxey.

Losing Keldon for the season most likely is rough

  32. Bonesawisready5

I ain’t mad. Good game from Vic, and he played 43 and while he was GASSED at the end, it will only serve to improve his conditioning

  33. lGoSpursGol

Anyone else notice that it takes Trae almost the entire 8 seconds to cross half court? At the end of the game and through both OTs he almost got a violation every single time he dribbled up. Drives me insane.

  34. Careless-Ad-2545

Branham must have gotten a dirty look from a fan duel fan in that last OT and determined we shouldn’t win that game.

  35. aaronlovescrypto

Close game, but inexperience killed us in the end…so may dumb turnovers as usual

  36. thebosstiat

…we need a wing defender. First Brunson drops 60 and now this? Get Wemby some help on defense.

Also, does it still count as a 5×5 if one of those is turnovers?

  37. spudtender

A team looking at their season as championship or failure should still beat us without their MVP and while we’re missing 2 of our core. This game had sequences were it looked like not one of the 10 guys on the floor were playing NBA basketball.

Games like this make me long for the days of our second unit coming in as a statement from Pop to our starters. Pop throwing our guys to the bench early, and second string walks on with all of the confidence in the world to run the system with machine like efficiency. Gonna be a while before we’re back to that.

  38. Wemby’s next season: 25-12-7-5-2 and couple of quadruple double. I mean to guess conservatively.

  39. shmooked

This game just makes me even more torn on who we need to draft
