lotta bad takes in there, even from some knicks fans

  2. aus_Martinez

Best decision that’s been done since bringing Thibs in as a coach and one of the best signings in the last 10+ years for the Knicks. What a baller

    Might start replying to mfuckas

Holy shit is that thread a cesspool of horrible takes. Turns out 4/110 for a top 10 player ages like a fine wine.

  5. Xaminer7

So many horrible takes from people who think they know basketball.

For example, “Knicks paying $110 mill for an above average role player 🤣” Where you at, u/brawlerizzy?

“Just a lose-lose situation to both the Knicks and the Mavs.

But as a fans of neither teams, I love to see that.”

    Still think so, u/Little_little_e?

    That thread aged like milk.

    Love to see it.

Brunson stepped up and has proved himself. He is worth every cent, and probably lots more. Thibs and Leon have put together a fantastic roster around Brunson.

We are still constantly under-estimated. But let em keep thinking that way. Its way more fun when we win and everyone looks like Ellis did when Brunson blew past him.

R/nba showing once again what a damn cesspool it is.

  8. ontheru171

Always good to be reminded how braindead the majority of r/nba is.

A lot of folks who follow ESPN closely as their primary source of information think they know all about the game

Someone in that thread called Brunson “Walmart FVV”, I’m sure the Rockets would do 1 for 1 trade in a heartbeat now.

I’m not even gonna lie. I probably have some comments somewhere in this sub about how the Knicks are spending a lot of money on unproven players again and how the Brunson contract would backfire. I even hated that all out players were lefties lolol

    Boy was I wrong

Everyday I watch Brunson I think about how his game in college not only translated to the NBA, he’s ascended and arguably has the greatest footwork of any guard to ever grace the NBA parquet, and maybe the greatest footwork of all time.

I don’t think even his teammates in Villanova where he had immense success would think he would become arguably the greatest guard in the East and a borderline first team All-NBA player.

Hart, DiVincenzo, and Bridges knew Brunson was assiduous, but to think that Brunson could reach this level of success?

Every time I watch Brunson, I am astounded by not only his footwork, but the flawless fluidity of his game as a whole.

The part of his game that I am constantly mesmerized by is how he gathers the ball into his shot on floaters without any wasted motion that even the most renowned shot blockers can’t time it.

Brunson will change his timing on his floaters too and sometimes go with his off foot to keep defenses endlessly guessing.

And this is just runners, this is not even his post game.

He’s truly mastered the art of basketball as an offensive player and his effort on defense is commendable as well.

After all those years of poor acquisitions, the Knicks under Rose have become a model organization.

I love how confident they all are in their ice cold takes

  14. 27 a mil was what you had to pay for a starting caliber pg nowadays idk why people were buggin

  15. DuaLipasClitoris

Ok but do this in r/nba and watch them all squirm

  16. Fvckyourdreams

Best Bargain in the league now. 27$ Mill is about Duncan money.

  17. OhtaniMets99

Im happy to wrong, thought he would only be a 17 ppg guy

  18. DataFinderPI

Walmart FVV was a comment. That guy should be banned from sports takes.

  19. tacosmuggler99

Buncha bitch ass Mavs fans in that thread.

  20. FullHouse222

Ngl, I was really negative on Brunson during the signing. I felt his stats were super inflated playing with Luka and that he was a top 10 guard but probably not high enough of a ceiling when we could have been waiting to build more on our core before the FA signing.

Definitely my worst take ever. Brunson has far and above cleared every one of my expectations. If anything we underpaid for him lol.

  21. BRDPerson

The best is seeing the dumb ass Knicks fans on there who were acting like we weren’t just paying an average starting pg salary for what we thought would be an average starting pg. That sub is soooo stupid sometimes but damn it’s fun

  22. High_Ground_Sand

“Walmart Fred VanVleet” is so disrespectful

  23. cesarjulius

    classic:

Wanting a functional PG is one thing…but overpaying Jared Brunson to be that guy is how the Knicks will just keep being…well, the Knicks.

  24. firstbreathOOC

    >Walmart FVV is getting the bag

Oh boy. That was certainly a take.

  25. slickrickiii

That one decision bought Leon Rose a guaranteed 4 more years at his job

  26. starfillednightsky

Someone called him Walmart Fred VanVleet. What an idiot.
