Well, you know Darvin Ham, always trying to keep things interesting! But seriously, changing up the core mid-season could definitely shake things up for the Lakers.

Vando came back. Had to work his way back to game shape. When he did, he got hurt. You guys create narratives. Darvin should probably be fired, but you don’t need this nonsense to do it.

Im sure the author is a well studied and experienced sports journalist that has been involved in basketball at the highest level.

No shit. It’s already jeopardized this whole season

He had his faults, but the teams inconsistency/injuries didn’t help either

Re: EXCLUSIVE, “I do not think that word means what you think it means”

When this season is over, I think huge questions have to be answered around how mysterious he navigated this season.

If he and the coaching staff wanted to implement a 5 out system, why did he force all defensive lineups at one point? Not saying it’s all ham’s fault because guys like rui, dlo and Austin had trouble adapting at one point..and as a team with lots of egos he never managed it well if the guys started speaking out.
Anthony Davis said something interesting after the Cavs game where he said the players are in a better place and not “huddled up whispering” etc so he deff lost the locker room at one point.

I just don’t see the growth with him long term..this year will be a huge waste of time if we don’t make a deeper playoff run.

It’s been in jeopardy. We could have had a higher seeding if we played the more optimal line up in the first half of the season. All we can hope for right now is we make it to post season.

Ham: “man shut up, why y’all care about me so much damn”

How is news that warrants an EXCLUSIVE?? NEWSFLASH buddy, we have eyes and already know.

I don’t care if we win the NBA Finals. Ham needs to be fired for this.

  12. I honestly believe the only thing that can save Ham’s job at this point is literally another WCF appearance or a Finals appearance. This man has been in over his head since last season and his ineptitude has basically wasted two of Lebron’s last years. It’s time to move on.

Ah, that Darvin Ham, always keeping things interesting for the Lakers! Let’s hope he doesn’t shake things up too much for the team this season.

It is what it is. He did a decent job at the beginning of the season despite being down two of his POA defenders, but his favoritism and incompetency bled over into that post-IST hangover where we went 3-10 and the team visibly quit on him until D’Lo and Rui got into the starting lineup.

I can’t really fault the players or injuries. Between Reaves sucking at the beginning, Vanderbilt/Vincent being out, Lebron coasting, and Rui being in and out at the start of the season, we still had enough talent to coast to 48+ wins with Lebron/AD playing 65+ games this season. You can’t hide one dimensional players in the playoffs. But what a coach can do is play lineups together that offset those weaknesses which aren’t exploited as much in the regular season. Ham failed to do that and deserves the most blame.

  15. It’s Lakers Daily that totally trash website?

The team would not have struggled this season if Ham just played his best players.
