Trade down and get Knecht
Not many rebuilds win a championship. Chances are ours wont pan out long term. Hope it does but the odds are against us.
Don’t trade Ivey or Duren if anything trade the one who can’t shoot at all with a career threatening injury the best ability is availability. Ivey and Duren both made all rookie teams invited to rising stars Ausar will not make a rookie team or was invited to rising starts. Monty has been horrible and the season was over in November, Ivey small slump in second season is not enough for him to be traded. How can this guy be ok with Kill for 4 years who had bust written all over him but if Ivey has a small slump in a season that his team is literally the worst all time trade him???? Terrible take
Love Cade want to say that first but Cade's first to seasons were mired by injury, lack of defense and inefficiency. Everyone took up for Cade saying the roster contributed to his issues. Now he's taken the 3rd season leap and all is forgiven. Why is Ivey and Duren being given that same courtesy? It seems to be a double standard when none of them including Cade has been responsible for any type of winning. I'm going to say it again coaching is the issue. Monty is the problem. Any coach with half a brain knew Ivey should have been starting over Hayes (whose not even in the league any longer). Monty is mostly responsible for the young guys taking such a regression and as long as he's in Detroit don't expect much trades or not.
Watch we trade the top pick and he ends up being a top five NBA player because that’s what happens to the Pistons all the time.
I think the Pistons should draft that guy with one arm
If they do trade both of them, then they should keep the pick and draft best player available.
Can we just trade Ivey, and this year pick? I think we can really get some value if we did that.
If the pistons really want to commit to Ausar, then they should get rid of Duren. I don’t believe that they should have two non three point shooters on the court at the same time. It just doesn’t work that well in the modern nba. If they commit to Ausar, then they should get a stretch 5.
Change the coach, if needed… get rid of everyone other than Cade, trade the top 5 pick, find some win now players that can shoot and defend
How about keeping the core 4 but bring in a new coach who can get the best out of them together…both with on the court game planning and rotations and off the court confidence building, belief buy-in and accountability. We did not have anything near that this year
