Wemby has better defensive stat lines than most of the DPOYs in the past 20 years, and he's doing it while playing for the worst defense in the NBA, the difference when he's on and off the court is huge, Spurs are last when he's off, and 3rd/4th when he's on. Wolves already have the best defense, get Rudy off the court, they're still gonna be the best, he's just one of the best defenders of his team, and number shows, Wemby is single handedly carrying a whole team defense.
if at 7'4" Wemby is supposed to do that, then why Porzingiz, Marjanovic, Bol Bol, Muresanu, Yao Ming and many other giants never had so much blocks, they were not even close, may be because there is something to do with natural agility and muscle-neural connection and responsiveness of Wemby

The fact that Shaq is attempting to sell Bol Bol is not conducive to his career because it's putting him in a similar position as Wemby and Chet. I'm not saying he's a bad player not at all, but this isn't helping Bol Bol I think because Shaq is trying to create a hype around this young man.

When you see Wemby just smother someone like Giannis you know. When you see the whole offense of a team want to pass the ball instead of shoot you know. Dude is just built different, and in his case it is not a metaphor, he is physically different. You could not design a better basketball player in a videogame. The only things that can stop Wemby's dominance of the NBA is Wemby's body and the team around him, everything else we have seen enough to know he is it. I think he's a multigenerational talent, although I do expect more Wemby like players to pop up in the next couple of decades as a result of the information age facilitating global recruitment of athletes, and this is true for all sports.
