Somewhere in between. Do I think they can make the Finals? No. Do I think they could get hot and be a tough out in the second round? Yes.
I'm still a bit of a skeptic but one twist: The Pellies have actually won more road than home games. That's really unusual in a young team and is an indicator of playoff success. Maybe they do have the maturity?
watched every game the last couple years. Pelicans can't be a serious team unless they address their rim protection and able to break the defense down. Zion and BI are both big wings and do most of the facilitation. It would be nice for them to trade for a trae or garland type of guard that can break the defense down and run simple pick and roll action. CJ is a 2 guard. Larry nance and JV are approaching the end of their primes.
depending on what happens this playoffs I would package Trey Murphy in a superstar trade. His value is high right now but I don't see how he becomes better than Ingram. His shot creation is not natural and is best used as a complementary player. Murphy will demand around 120M and I don't think he is worth that for what he brings to the team.
Can't take any team seriously that is named for a Pelican. Seriously, change the fkn team name, then I'm in on this squad.
