Ham was trying to be smart and find diamonds in the rough. Too bad he’s a horrible assessor of talent

  2. It’s one thing to bench a guy. It’s another to bench a guy for Cam Reddish. It’s another thing again to bench a guy for Cam Reddish because you can’t bench Taurean Prince.

“That starting line-up wasn’t working” yes and Ham literally tried everything except even considering the possibility of benching Prince. Dude literally benched both DLo and Austin just to bring Cam and Vando into the starting line-up because Prince was his 3rd star.

This one is for all the “Who else could we get to coach” and “if we get rid of Ham it wont solve anything” folks.

  4. Lucieddreams

Austin, Dlo, AND Rui being benched and having their minutes taken away over guys like Cam and Prince truly disgusts/worries me. Ham playing favorites is extremely obvious, and I’ll be shocked if they bring him back.

How are you gonna put your team’s literal entire core (and the only guys who can shoot) on the backburners and give away their minutes to minimums? It’s beyond me how this man still has a Jon

  5. This secret weapon type shit this team has been doing for the past few years has been awful. The only time it kind of worked was with Markieff Morris. It should’ve ended 2 seasons ago with THT. Now we’re seeing a worse version of it with a player who can’t even play at a pro level and the worst coach in the league.

Imagine being paid starter money and being benched

Ham being a fuckface idiot is more proof that the bucks 2021 ring was fraudulent. He doesnt get this job if they dont go on that mickey mouse run where they a faced celtics team without tatum, a nets team with an injured harden + injured kyrie via giannis being in his landing zone, and an injured hawks team. if that wasnt the shortest off season in NBA history, the lakers wouldve stayed healthy and repeated. Easily too

  8. Reminder: Reaves and DLo only got their minutes back because of injuries and them going rogue on the offense which made them play better. Rui only got respectable minutes because Prince kept shooting us out of games and any village idiot would make that adjustment.

Reaves had a slow start, but damn, that move is a head scratcher!

  10. carlonia

I remember you guys bitching to bench him. Let’s not act like it it was all Ham because I remember this subs reaction

  11. TorontoRaptors34

Mofos forget there were injuries but imo I feel it woulda been easier if Ham started the main 5 from the jump over experimenting half the yr.

  12. ImprovementSilly2895

Jeanie isn’t firing him. Dont get your hopes up

  13. StoneColdAM

Ham is not only stubborn but he’s also stupid. Reaves was a big part of our success since the bubble. He deserves more chances than a guy on his way out of the sport. If an NBA player could be fired from a team, Cam Reddish would’ve been fired from the Knicks, Hawks, and now the Lakers.

  14. Reddish wasn’t even moved out of the starting lineup by Ham. Reddish got hurt so Ham’s hand was forced to move onto other lineups.

Now this is damning beyond compare and shows that Ham is truly a dumbass who either a) takes things too personally b) insists on forcing square pegs into round holes c) plays favorites like a sorority sister or d) all of the above.

Most of us only have a cursory understanding of Xs and Os but most of us have worked enough jobs to know what kind of moron Ham is. He epitomizes middle management. And I say that as someone who defended him early in the season because of our run to the WCF last year.

  16. Ranjith_Unchained

Ham is easily one of the worst coaches ever….I might even take Luke Walton over him at this point

  17. Can’t defend that, and I do defend Ham quite a bit.

He’s starting reclamation projects instead of a guy who has taken over multiple playoff games- Pure ego and favoritism.

  18. FershureB

Loving Trevor Lane’s crusade against Ham’s incompetence

  19. Equal-Country-9325

Lakers were legit playing there best basketball when Reafes was coming off the bench. This is a bad example

  20. _Zap_Rowsdower_

Ham might be the dumbest coach in NBA history. I just wonder what exactly did the front office see in this bum.

  21. litlegoblinjr

At least try to run Rui with the starting lineup instead of Cam if you wanted to keep Prince in there so bad…

  22. ValuableAssociate8

If Cam even remotely played half as good as he should it, wouldn’t be a problem. But the fact that Cam was a lottery pick and has shown zero improvement over the last 4-5 years is disheartening especially how well he played in college.

  23. icedoutyoda

He sabotaged the team all year it’s insane

  24. The Reddish for Reaves thing did kind of work out initially, didn’t it? I remember us going on some crazy run where we were 9-3 or something ridiculous like that after Cam’s insertion into the starting lineup. But a good chunk of that was the IST run if I’m not wrong. I get Reaves leash should have been longer but he wasn’t fit to start the season (his legs just looked like they weren’t there) so I don’t really fault Ham for going Cam over Reaves because there was an immediate payoff in the results. However, he did take too long to revert back once Reaves had his legs under him.

The Prince over Rui thing still is bizarre to me. Ham fumbled that one hard. Especially the minute split between the two. It was outrageous. Should have been a fireable offense.

It honestly feels like Ham is the least adaptable coach in the league currently. Like if our plan doesn’t work out in game, I’m not sure he moves the needle to help us strategically in any way, shape or form. It’s evidenced by how long he sticks with certain subbing patterns irrespective of game flow or how long he sticks with players even when their strengths are figured out and shut down by other teams.

  25. KevinDurantSnakey

Ham was overthinking how to balance the 2nd unit and Reaves could be the scorer, forgot basics of playing your best 5 most of the game

  26. NefariousNeezy

I wish someone believed in me like Ham believed in Cam and TP
