👏Talk👏Your👏Talk👏, Ime
Dillon brooks was playing sooo well 4-14 5 fouls
At the end of the day I think part of this is you need to know your personnel. Jalen doesn’t respond well to getting his confidence shattered and his best sustained play comes from him getting coddled.
If Ime doesn’t want a character like that on the team then we should move on from Jalen but if you’ve ever played organized sports you know what I’m talking about.
I don’t see this as a condemnation on Jalen’s demeanor. Some guys thrive with a players coach and some don’t respond well to coaches that have a really short leash. Jalen is the guy that will sink when his confidence dies.
Ime either needs to accept this and treat Jalen differently OR the front office needs to make a mutual decision. I know earlier this season I saw Ime try to give Jalen a long leash but that didn’t really work then; I’m sure he’s hesistant to do that again for half a season.
For all intents and purposes Jalen is a better player and grew this season. So I don’t think he will be out of the league but I wonder if he and Ime will ever be a good fit.
After 1 whole season working together, I have the impression that JG won’t be a Rocket next year.
If we were really chasing Bridges and willing to use JG in the trade, I don’t think Green was able to change Ime’s mind, even with that great stretch of 12-15 games.
I’m just afraid the FO will do something really stupid with JG + picks.
Jalen is fucking garbage
