Typically the two players being compared are at least in the same tier. Kyrie is a legit allstar and a nice player. AI was a megastar, former mvp, first ballot hall of famer.
Anyone who answers Kyrie is trolling or not old enough to have seen AI in his prime. This truly isn't hate for Irving, I think he's a good player, but this feels a bit like comparing Karl Malone to Kevin Love, Bird to Paul George, etc. It reeks of recency bias.

Many that are picking Kyrie must be very young. Iverson made the crossover popular and the reason these players wear braids and tattoos. He carried a scrub team to the finals but just ran into prime Shaq and Kobe. He did win game 1 and dropped 50. What team Kyrie led to the finals. He won nothing until Lebron. Kyrie was on the Cavs for a few years, never got nowhere until Lebron.
