After they get picked they go to a secret room on the top floor of whatever building the draft is in for a series of occult rituals, then pictures are taken of the newly-drafted player appearing to be in a compromising position to use as blackmail and further control you.
They make life hard for you. A task that used to as easy to perform as picking an item off of a menu now feels like a long Groundhog Day of running/onewheeling through a lifeless mall within a mall.
If I know these evil people the way I think I do, they are probably trying to frustrate her into buying virtual currency to not be a 60 overall to begin a career.
